Thanks for posting this - very much appreciated - these are great gearboxes - I'll be looking into one of mine in the pretty near future and seeing some procedures done on video helps - its big hangup is not going into forward till its warmed up about 15 minutes or so, after that it is perfect. Reverse perfect hot or cold - figure a valve body issue because no slippage, tv cable is right, good firm shifts 12 23 34. Will know better when I drop pan.
Rubber in the drums probably getting hard. Valves may be sticking also. They are bad about sticking valves. If you got one that has firm shifts you are lucky, notorious for sloppy shifts. Hope all goes well with your build. Thanks for watching.
I'm 2 minutes in and I am straining to hear and understand him. It sounds like he is lost,... or not very familiar with the transmission. ...outa here!
No I did not. I don't do it. Have not for about 25 years now. I get this comment all the time. Have seen no difference doing it and not, so I don't. Thanks for watching.
@@rowdy3837 No harm done soaking either . When I first started I kept a ketchup bottle full of ATF on my bench and gave the composite plates & bands a squirt as I assembled but eventually quit doing that too . The parts guy used to hide a bottle of red gin behind the transmission parts ....we filled that with ATF too :) We heard the scream too :)
Much obliged 🍻

Can you use the 2004r bushing kit on the th200. I know the 200 has no overdrive an bushings are hard to find
It's the same except for the direct drum bushings..
What kind of lube is that he’s brushing on?
Transgel Gold.
I’m looking for a Monte Carlo ss or any hp 200-4R.
Don't know who to refer you to. Even regular cores are hard to come by now let along the HP units. Most have been bought up by places like Jasper.

What is your location ?
Sorry, have had a lot of people ask, I don't give that out. If you need a shop go here to the shop finder tab. www.atra.com/
Great job.. I might buy a rebuild kit.. I’m sure I’ll need this video!
