Tom was living in south central in the ghetto, had no power,, had half a smoke left, he went out on the front porch and smoke the last half of his cigarette and wrote this. He went inside and told nova that he wrote the song that was going to change their lives. They had no power so they ran an extension cord from the neighbors house to film this, he borrowed some money from a few friends for add runs, and the rest is history. This song went viral. He is a Canadian rapper but he’s lived in cali for almost a decade. Nova his gf shoots all his videos, Tom was completely inspired by Em, he’s the ultimate STAN. He bought an nft that included EMs beat called “Stan’s revenge” and made a whole song called “dear slim” to pay Em homage. Let’s see what else is there…..🤣 Tom is very middle of the road, he does not care who he goes after on either side to get his point across, his whole purpose is to get the conversation started, where you take it from there is up to you. Tom is a very humble guy, he almost weekly goes live to have long convos with his fans, to Tom his fans are family they are not fans. He’s always engaging with his fans. Tom also loves his reactors, don’t be shocked if tom comes in and comments from time to time. He’s very loyal! He’d do anything for his fans (family) which is why we are loyal to him. He’s never fake, he lays it all out there, even if it’s accepting things he did in his past, which makes him super relatable to a lot of people. We are a large family! Tom is a big fan of Em. He even did a track 'Dear Slim' to pay homage.
When Tom wrote this track he was down on his last cigarette. No money, no electricity, no food. He had to ask his neighbors for power to shoot the video and borrowed money from friends and family to advertise the video on TH-cam. Luckily it went viral.

Haha, when you said "everybody got a story", reminded me of Tom's song Castles. That's literally the message of the song. You should check it out, it has a completely different style. The more you listen to Tom you'll see how versatile he is in style and flow.

Tom is a huge fan of Eminem and doesn't hate him. The stans have a problem with Tom because Tom talks about what he talks about.
In his most recent release: "Naked", he mentions that Eminem is pretty much the reason he raps.
Tom doesn't like the drug pushing and turning society into mindless zombies. I think Tom recognizes how powerful music is and he's appalled about what the mumble rappers rap about.

HOG is 8 to 80 of all races, creeds and colors. I am 59, white, raised in the hood but didn't care for rap mainly due to the negative messaging. Tom's messages, sarcasm, and understandable BOMB lyrics have opened my mind to give even more artists a listen.
BTW Home Free are great.

Toms a "Stan" at heart, but as a "White Rapper" it had to be a Em disc he used in the video. Plus follow the story, Em influence was back then, now years later all rappers want is the glory...lol

Em is probably Tom's biggest inspiration, especially old Em. They may not agree on some political stuff, but Tom has plenty of respect for him. People sometimes claim he has dissed Em a couple of time, but not really. He mentioned Em in Fake Woke, but it wasn't a diss, he just stated a fact. You will hear it when you get to that one, but I believe he cleared it all up In Dear Slim, talked about how he felt about Em.
