I am so happy i run into your videos! i was struggling a lot with cases, you make it so easy!
I love your lessons. One thing I do not understand is that these 2 sentences answer the question "where" yet the noun has 2 different endings....я выхожу на улицу and она на улицe. One ends in "y" and the other "e" although they both answer the question where and so both appear to be both prepositions.

Your way of explaining this case is appreciable!
But I have two observations and seek clarification.
1) Я живу́ в Москве́. -- Here ,when
explaining you clrearly pronounced
" в " in combination with the first letter of the following noun with
"M". I understand that it ought to be
pronounced as " ф Москве́ "
2) I understand that the final
unstressed " е" has to be pronounced as as "и"( though not very clearly but faintly) [-not in the first example given above ]. I quote from
" Russian for English- Speaking
Learners- A Text Book by В.Н.
Вагнер (V.N.Wagner) published by
Издательство "Русский язык ,Москва,1983] " Page 67 : It saya:: " In the
Unstressed endings, " е" is
pronounced as an unstressed vowel
[ и] : ты чита́ешь [ тычита́иш ] "
(Quotation ends). I listened to several videos and it is never
clear. Foreign learners like me get
confused as to which is the correct
pronunciation. Thanks! You are doing a great job!

How come 'год' is masculine ending in consonant yet it doesn't end in 'e' in the prepositional case, namely it's 'в этом году' instead of 'в этом годе'? I heard it in a documentary and I was baffled.
Udar, this word, as well as some others, is an exception. Some nouns take "у" in prepositional case and have to be memorized: "в этом году", "в лесу", 'в аэропорту", "в углу", "на мосту", etc.

Why is it that places like Казань or Пермь drop the ь and add +и (в Казани/ в Перми) but then, for example, Ярославль drops ь and adds +e (в Ярославе) ?

They belong to a smaller group of nouns that take "У" as their ending in the prepositional case. So you will say "в лесу", "в саду", а также "в аэропорту", "на мосту", "в углу" и т.д.

Emam, к сожалению, такие слова вам придется просто запомнить. Те, что я уже написала - наиболее частые. Также, "на полу", "'в году', 'в шкафу', 'на берегу'. Но таких слов не так много, так что вы легко их выучите.
