    Straight to the point, so much information in 37 seconds, quick but understandable. You are a legend and nice video!

    It's very complicate the different voice between the metallic voice and normal voice

    in Audacity would you just do the delay time in seconds for the second track?

    • @jpcontodo
      @jpcontodo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      To do this in Audacity:
      1. Create a track (mono or stereo): this will be your original track.
      2. Create another track and copy whatever you have in your original to this one.
      3. Use the time shift tool (F5) to delay it by the number of milliseconds necessary. You can check how much you're delaying your clip in the meters that appear below the audio editing section, right at the bottom of Audacity
      ;)

    How do you do this in garageband?

    • @jpcontodo
      @jpcontodo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Create a copy of your original voice over track and delay it by juuuuuust a bit. You do that by moving the clip ahead in the timeline, if my memory serves me right

    • @corruptedaxis
      @corruptedaxis 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't seem to move the tracks close enough.

      @@corruptedaxis Is it the desktop version of Garage Band, or the mobile app?

      Desktop.

    8 milliseconds? You must mean 80? The human ear cannot perceive anything less than 30ms

    • @jpcontodo
      @jpcontodo  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it can, but it doesn't sound like a regular delay, it sounds "robotic" and that's what we're looking for 👍

    • @nef.spring
      @nef.spring 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      He certainly means 8. I personally even think that 7 actually sounds better than 8.

      @@nef.spring It is a scientific fact that the human ear cannot perceive any delay of less than 35ms. Haas effect. Anyway, I used a chorus effect (another form of delay/flange) on a second track. This is how my voicing came out: th-cam.com/video/-jYrHs01zaI/w-d-xo.html
