Been traveling to Siargao for 25 years now and I still love it there. The government there has done a bang up job of keeping the environment and economy in balance. I'm so proud of you guys there. Siargao will always have a piece of my heart. First time I came, there was no airport. Now they have 5 or 6 flights per day. Just amazing. San Benito is where I stay. Not much tourists there at this time but I'm sure that will change.
I am a Filipino and I find this presentation extremely informative and entertaining, not to mention very professionally made. Had I been a foreigner looking for a place to visit and happen to stumble upon this video, I'd be packing my things and then book a flight in a heartbeat.

Siargao needs more development - local officials must do more to help the locals so they will be partners in maintaining this unique island. This island is not small - 65% as big as the state of Singapore. Local officials has to DO MORE FOR THE LOCALS.
correct hope the government consider this upgrade and more infrastural development in that region. to gain more income not just for local but for the entire country GDP.
@@josephramos980 if the place is overdeveloped, it impacts the environment, pollution is number one. I'm sure you know what happened to Boracay. Also, most tourist shy away from busy places. Bagay na hindi naiintindihan ng karamihan mga Pilipino dahil kulang tayo sa environmental consciousness.
This captured Siargao so humbly and colourful. The first half of 2020 was spent in this beautiful place and it was quite a pleasure being able to see it from such a clearly and beautifully captured video. Lovely footage! Long live Siargao! Subbed :)
It is actually inexpensive to live in the Philippines. Also, the culture, the people, and the food are awesome. Filipinos speak English well which is great.
wow, so much have change from 30yrs!! thank you for your wonderful representation ! all the roads i travelled back then was all dirt and no street lights! I miss this place very much! there were only a few inns back then: Green room, Blue room, Pisangan, in the area but so much have changed since then. Such a special place!! I really miss all the friendly locals, kind hospitality and the vibes. hope to visit again soon after this fuckin pandemic! stay safe everyone!! Love & Peace! Please see my videos for reference! looking forward to seeing more of your vids!
Travelled to the PI several times during the 90s (and Indonesia) and thought about retiring there (rather than in the US where the most expensive Retirement Communities still have minimum wage workers who HATE old people) But How do I get my BMW 1200 bike over there? Also preferred the Highlands, Baguio, Sagada, Banaue... cooler climate.
2nd time seeing your channel. Very well done and so much info. It seems that Siargao Island is ahead of the curve in The Philippines when it comes to being Earth-friendly. They seem to do it in a natural way. Nice! Happy Trails
Nice vlog. We went two weeks ago (Mid January 2021) to Siargao and looked bit different (of course). Anyhow, it was still really lovely, but empty and rainy. And that was ok for us, I managed also to do nice vlogs. About pricing, I do not have comment, as we stayed only one week Siargao. Keep going!
Kenny Kleizi, Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. I'm planning on making a video about Dumaguete when I return to the Philippines after covid.
Place looks so gorgeous! I've been to the Phillipines in 2016 and have mixed feelings about the country. Manila and Cebu I ran into very rude people, on the other hand in El Nido and Coron people were so nice! I would love to come back to erase the bad experiences I had there, pretty sure will have a better experience next time :)
Rafael Paz, I think big cities everywhere are less friendly than smaller towns. I had great experiences everywhere but it did take longer to make friends in Manila. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment and share your experience.
Im planing to move to Philippines. Siargao seems to be really amazing place. But of course going first to visit . Any tips the best place to live in Philippines? Thanks
I just discovered a GEM, in central america...........EL SALVADOR.... I invited all of you to check this country out................AWESOME. plus their currency is dollar, which makes things easier.
Compared to many other islands, Siargao is quite expensive. A cappuccino for 120 PHP is quite on the high side. As well as a massage for 500PHP. I was born in the Philippines and visited many islands. I have a feeling that this is becoming the new Boracay.

@Darren Walsh we speak English too in Mindanao
I'm living in Bulacan temporarily and not many people speak English at all. So, I think it depends on where you live as to finding English speakers
Not if you live in makati the lowest house price is 2 million dollars.
if you eat like the locals 100 dollars is enough to cover your food expenses
what is filipino culture?
