Lighting is fab, the dog you thought was a schnauzer is more likely a wire haired fox terrier. They are all really lovely though ❤

Hiya Claire Hunni. The lighting looks great. Mica powders won't go off as they are just a natural mineral crushed down to powder. For some reason, some are a little more difficult to mix in, but you could try mixing the mica in a small amount of resin 1st to make a paste and add that to the rest of the resin. The lighting is perfect, these old eyes could see everything in wonderful detail 😊 I have 2 Black Lab/Akita mix pups (brothers) who just turned 12 the 28th of November, 1 Beagle mix who is also around 12, and 1 pure bred blonde Husky who is around 4 1/2, so I'm absolutely loving these dog oriented decorations ❤️ Can't wait to see more puppy themed projects 😀 😊

Lighting is fantastic! And I feel the same way! Due to my apartment's location, I get one hour of proper sunlight in the morning. And the apartment is dull and dark. I have invested a lot into new lighting for my resin projects ❤

First of all I have to say I LOVE your videos Claire and your energetic personality. Second, I am in love with George and hope you'll show him in more videos in the future. He is absolutely adorable!! I think the lighting is great. The video quality is crisp an clear and the colors look true on my computer monitor. I watch a lot of different media artists and I sometimes think the lighting is too bright and produces a lot of glare. Especially if their lighting is super bright and they have an all white background. You always have backgrounds that are pleasing to the eye and look good in the videos. Keep doing what you're doing Claire. It's working!!
Mixing mica powder…I hate the clumps! I found a trick that works amazingly well. Put some 100% (or 98, whatever you can get. The higher the better) in the bottom of the silicon that you’re going to mix the resin with the powder. Then put the mica on top of the alcohol. Stir it up. Might need a couple extra squirts of alcohol. This gets rid of all the clumps. Then pour your clear resin in. I do half, mix it up, then the other half and mix all of it together. The alcohol will also get rid of bubbles before you pour. If I’m doing this then I spray my molds with alcohol before I pour. DONT TORCH.! The alcohol will catch fire! Give it 5 minutes or so to evaporate. Then see if you need to torch.
Long story short…lol mix mica with alcohol first. Zero clumps.
Light was very good! My craft room is lit up like Blackpool and I still wear a super bright head torch too lol

For the glitter, try watching LiaDia designs sometime. She uses Duraclear Gloss Varnish and mixes the glitter in it and then paints it where she wants the glitter to go. It then dried clear and keeps the glitter in place. It is an extra step and takes time, but it definitely works...

Lightning is fine. I wasn’t a fan of the pink color but I do love the dogs on there. You could also paint the edges or just around the top with a metallic paint pen to add a little bit more to ornament. Super cute idea.

I close my curtain and film with lights all the time now. it doesn't really matter what time of day it is. and IMO your artificial lighting as spot on 😀 its bright and no shadows unlike mine 🤣 and I love your dog baubles, they are gorgeous. And the purple one is my favorite🤣as you said 💜💜💜 thank you honey 😘 next time more purple please 🤣🤣🤣🥰

Claire dissolve your mica into part B. Leave it sit about 10 minutes and mix again.... You don't have to worry about it setting up because there is no part A in the mix. Works like a dream...cute pups.... hugs Sheryl 🎄🎨🎄 lighting is fine

Hey Claire...your lighting is good. But I know what you mean. It's dark out so early now. It was harder when my kids were in school because there wasn't much daylight left for them to play outside after school. I love your idea for pet Christmas decorations. Your micas are a natural substance mineral so will not go off as long as kept in a cool dark place not in direct sunlight. You put ut all in central spread across the full surface then mix to distribute properly x

You can use a pin or pin pen to pop bubbles and smooth them out. Try it before you redo them. Lighting looks ok. I preferred the day shot tho.

Mica powders don't go off because mica is a stone, your resin was probably cold, or you may need to stir the mica powder before adding resin to make sure there aren't any chunks.
