OH MY GOSH. Auto join was turned off!!!! For four years I’ve had this problem!!!!!!!! FOUR YEARS!! My wifi would disconnect every 2 minutes and I’d have to reconnect!!!! Looked up the solution before and made sure I had “join known networks automatically” toggled on. It never worked. Well I guess that setting doesn’t help if the individual setting for a specific network has “auto-join” toggled off. I even got a new phone but when I restored from backup it wouldn’t connect either. I just gave up and thought maybe something was wrong with my router. But when I got a new iPad, and it stayed connected, I decided to look it up again. Thank God I did because the problem was finally solved and it was so very simple. 🤦♀️ Anyways big thanks. I don’t know what to do with myself, by the time I typed this paragraph my wifi would usually have already disconnected lol. It’s still going strong. 🤯😆
Probably an update was not written to keep settings. I have experienced a change in the past, although I can't recall which ios update did it to me. Normally, such a lack of care is a signature of winbloze..
I usually never interact with videos but somebody in these comments saved me❤️ I hated this problem so much and they fixed it so I just have to let everybody else know how they helped my problem. My wifi would connect for a second and then disconnect, the solution for me was turning off the “connect on demand” button for one of my VPNs. So just play around with the VPNs a little bit❤️

Uh well, none of these worked but I somehow managed to troubleshoot it. If you have a VPN it might be messing up your connection somehow, I don’t know why but I just turned it off and it started working fine.

To 'forget wifi', step number 1 is... what is the logon? If you don't know both SSID [which sometimes is not broaadcast for security reasons] and password, don't follow one more direction of this video. Stop.
