How to make clarified butter/ South Sudanese Miok weŋ

  • For the recipe, the only thing you need is BUTTER.
    I use about 7-8 packs of pure Irish butter ( kerrygold brand) you can use any brand as long it's not salted butter.
    In a big pot add butter on a medium low temperature and let the butter simmer, start scooping out the foam on top of the butter and let the butter cook for about 20-25 minutes till you see golden brown solid milk on the base of the pot- means the butter is done cooking. Don't overcook it or If you don't like the strongly smells of butter. I suggest for a good aroma don't burn the butter like I did unless you like it that way.
