I've tried the 909's V2 soulplates with Oisy frames and could not do topsouls on copings. The frames are too tall and the souls too narrow. Worked great with the Razors SL2. Too bad the Razors lacing system is bad. I went back to Them frames with 55/92 wheels and I have no wheel bites.
the blue intuitions and the blue oysis. thts a beautiful setup brother, im skating the black mediums oysis with my fit prime liners on sum sways all grey/silver and black, i got raider nation skates lolol
Great video! I’ve been to the park only one time. I really like that park. I skated that rail too - only I hate squat rails lol... I would have never tried topside on it. Glad you’re taking quarantine seriously - so am I... excited for the next video
Thank you! And yeah I really need to work on my squat rail game. Especially square. I'm excited to make my next one. I'm trying out my old able frames from back in the day. I'm throwing them on so I can hit that whole flat long rail at the front of that park. Should be a challenge...
Those frames sounded very unique while grinding. My only gripe about my Aeons is the slightly sticky soul plates. I feel like I have to wax everything. A few weeks ago I put on my old Dustin Latimer Psirus’ and hit the same ledge I just hit with my Aeons and my feet almost shot out I was sliding so fast 😅. Hopefully USD will improve it with future models.
I really like how mine are painted. It acts as a wax kind of. But now after a year of skating it's starting to really wear away. I just drilled some dimples in my souls. I haven't skated them yet but I'm going to make a video on how they compare after the mod.
@@SpookyBoots ps literally just set up my skates with these frames so this was super helpful, can't wait to try them. Got 65/60 in atm, if it's too swivelly I have some backup 58s.
Oh nice! Let me know how that goes! I was kind of playing with that idea myself although I've never skated anything more than a 1 mm to 1 1/2mm rocker so I'm a little hesitant.
@@SpookyBoots yeah I've tried banana rocker on big wheels but the size of wheels and placement mean that 1mm is probably going to be pretty exaggerated. Will keep ya updated 🙌
I've been on the fence about these because of how thick the sidewalls seems to be and catching on crossovers like you said. I'm curious what frame you were on before the oysi that had thinner walls. The walls on my kizer level 3 V2 are stupid, they make the frame unskateable. I'll probably still pick up the oysi frames anyway. It's funny we have to dial down the aggressive in aggressive skating to make it work, but I normally cruise 125mm ground control triskate, so switching back to aggressive frames feels like walking on eggshells.
Really good review! Did you ever catch the side wall/wheel bite area when you skated at an angle and slide out? I get that all the time with the mediums.
Thank you, and yeah I was... The top soul was turning into this cess slid out kind of situation. The coping I was so low in the deck I would have either had to get much lower or skate something with coping popping out a little more.
I have my oysi frames for couple of weeks and have not skated them. All indoor parks here are closed and every time in the weekends it’s to wet outside.
Thank you! And after the one session I think I'm going to like them a lot or at least just as much. I'll keep them on my boots and give you a concrete answer in my next video! I feel like it's going to be an amazing park frame though. I don't do much street skating but I think I'll like them more than my Aeons for street.
I'm in Albuquerque New Mexico now and my partner and I tend to skate the Bosque trail! I realized I accidentally said trail skating in the video I guess I meant urban skating we were skating the campus in this video.
@@SpookyBoots Sick skating man👊 yeah same locally here in NM. Barely getting back into it. Already need to replace things like wheels and bearings lol Fun hobbies as you know. Bosque Nice gotta take the gf out on a skate once I get into some 80mm. Keep up the awesome work bro.
I think the longer option in either version will work just fine for you. One of the biggest differencees between the two frames is the hight. Also what wheel size are you more comfortable with 65 or 72?
Great video, good to see you like the oysi! they look sick with the whole black n blue setup :) I recently switched from Anti to Axzys flat frame with 60/55 setup liking it so far too!
@@SpookyBoots yea i think this is my first time using go project wheels. i think there just a little to soft for my liking. I like a in the middle harder than soft wheel
I skate the oysi mediums. Its not the frames for top souls it's the them skates trust me lol you have to get ridiculously low to lock that super small soul plate into the grind.
I just made a 2nd part to this video yesterday. I haven't uploaded it yet but that's what I'm discovering. I love the 909 but they really do have a soulplate for more advanced skaters than myself. I think I'm going to try and get some sway plates for them.
@@SpookyBoots that's better:) I've been skating for 9 almost 10 years and I've found I'll leave the trendy small souls to the pros I'd rather consistently lock more tricks than look cool doing it haha
Nice review I bought it. I'm using this with 65-58-58-65 wheels.
Great work buddy! I was routing for you on the TS! Super helpful!
Thank you!

Looking forward to that video!

Just found your channel, content is looking great man! Nice review, love these frames.

Before the Oysi frame I was really only skating the Aeon 60s!

Where I got my skates! Awesome man! What spots in Denver do you recommend? Been out of game for 18 years lol
I never really did too much street skating while I was there. I was and still am a park rat hahaha
I have my oysi frames for couple of weeks and have not skated them. All indoor parks here are closed and every time in the weekends it’s to wet outside.
I feel that. Soon you will get your chance! Where you at? Seattle or something?
Great video and content, keep it up!
For all of us pondering, how you like Oysi mediums compare to Aeons for skate parks, coping grinds etc?

What size are your boots? Plus what size are your frames? 257mm or 269mm?
I'm an eu size 41-42. Not sure whether to choose 257mm or 269mm.
Those frames work out so sick. Where have you found to trail skate locally?
I'm in Albuquerque New Mexico now and my partner and I tend to skate the Bosque trail! I realized I accidentally said trail skating in the video I guess I meant urban skating we were skating the campus in this video.

I’m riding Razor SL size 11.
Would you recommend me getting the classic or the 269mm medium frame ?

i love my oyes frames
What wheels are you using with them?
@@SpookyBoots i have the 72mm frames. but I've been using go project wheels at the moment. i like them so far
Oh nice I've used those wheels before and didn't really like them but maybe I didn't spend enough time with them.
