Genius idea! Back in the day a company made parabolic wheels based on the same concept. Each wheel was the same size but had a different profile. The front wheel had the sharpest profile. The second and fourth wheel had the a slightly more round profile. The third wheel had the fattest profile.
Dude, its impossible that u have only 65k subscribers, this is the best and most complete channel on inline skates out there. Im 37 and seriously considering to start skating again, after 20 years :)
Personally, I initially thought of trying this way back when but thought “Nah! That’s crazy talk.” But now I’m a touch more experienced, I can say that this does have it’s merits. I worry, as previous commenters have said, after enough wear and tear the magic goes away. I won’t be trying this anytime soon as I’ve changed my “everywhere” setup to be anti-rocker but it is a nice idea to test out in the future. As for naming, we could call it “Lino rockered” or (if you figured this while in your time in South Africa) “South African rockered.” If the euros can have one (which I did try and found it a bit odd as to weight distribution) so can South Africa.
Duuude how have i never thought about this?! Thank you so much for explaining this setup. I've seen similar setups online and have really wondered what it was supposed to accomplish. Def gotta find a setup for this
it is true i set mine up like this always!!! but the thing Lino is that after a while the wheesl wear and the magic goes away!!!! but its also a way to have the wheels rotated to optimum performance on a regular basis!!! for sure thou it works!
Interesting idea! I haven't tried this setup, but the reason I like rounded/bullet wheels is because they give you more grip during turns and when carving ramps than a square-profiled wheel does (as you have more of the wheel's surface in contact with the surface when leaning your skate over). Doesn't riding on the inner square wheels during turns and carving make it more slippery/less grippy?
Im a beginner. You forgot to mention it takes time to get used to. I had just a cruise but i felt like wwoooaah. I guess with time I'll improve. I'm using kaltik v2 frame with 59mm on middle and 64mm on outside. Feels a little like negativerockerred (only middle touch floor)
im actually running rockered skates for a year now and all i could say is that im never going back to anti rocker or flat cuz this feels real good and i dont understand why rockered skates arent that popular in agressive skating cuz they are amazing
Hi Ricardo i love all your contents you are so clear in every video and you helped me a lot in different topics. I want to ask you an advice, i have the roces 5 element aquamarine and they now are, as stock, fully antirockered. I want to use the with this “Magic” configuration but i really don’t know which wheels I have to buy.. I think, but i’m not sure, they came out qith 60mm wheels in the outside and plastic in the inside.. can I put 60 mm flat in the inside? I have to choose for 58 flat? Are they both possible as configuration? I what to put moves in my aggressive skating, whats your advice? Thank you for all, your fan Vittorio from Italy
Makes me wonder what ground control hasn't made a featherlite hi lo. They made the first hi lo on the ground control bullet (I think is what they were called) frames. I'm not a ground Control fan as they were always a weak frame for heavier people back in the day. Like the side was would flex and touch wheel walls. I hated it. So I'm not even sure I would buy them but people do say they have started making them more sturdy and metal spacers.
The dual injection frame which came out shortly after and had much more scores had the hi lo option. The groove was not as big as the original hi los but it was close
Hi Lino, I've been skating aeon 72 using something similar but in a different way... l was using inner wheels 72 mm bullet profile (actually now it would be like 68mm or less), and outer wheels 65 mm go joe project. l could feel a big rocker but on curves when you put your feet in diagonal it wasn't so good... after watching your video l was asking myself what would be your opinion about this setup ( l mean if you use the bullet profile wheels inside instead of on the edges) Valeu!
nice!! what I did with my aeons 72 was: I had 3 68mm wheels and the 3 wheel (2 from the back) was the big one..just because I wanted a bit more of stability and this way it would be a wheelbase as short as from 1st to 3rd wheel ;)... I love the aeons..and I love them with 68´s
I remember wondering why my Oysi felt rockered when the wheels would roll flat. It's kind of hard to avoid with the different profiles in a hi-lo set up.
Just rode on some M12 roces for the first time. Before that I've been riding the seba 80mm wheels and 125mm hydrogen. The roces wheels had a square profile. I tried to stop like I would with the seba wheels and as soon as i hit a certain angle the shit slid right out from under me and i fell🤦♂️. But anyways not sure y I slid out but I think its because there was no support on the flat wheel after I broke that angle. Also I had a larger soul than I'm used to and I think I hit it. Having larger wheels with a profile that let's you turn sharper then it transfers to a square profile could get u all fukd up. Guess it's just somthin u gotta learn to deal with. Dont feel comfortable rollin around town gettin to the skate park with these square wheels tho, cant stop on a dime like I'm used to. Do the wheels shape out a bit over time? It's been so long since I've been on an aggressive skate setup.
You need to understand rockering of skate wheels then if you don't understand. check this out for why you would want rockering setup skating.thierstein.net/Knowledge/Inline_Skating_Rollerblading_Knowledge_Rockering.html center wheels down sets the skate up exactly like an ice skate and allows for a turning axis front to back and back to front inside to outside, outside to inside edges- if you can catch the front wheel as you jump it can act like a toe pick as well
Rides flat with all your body weight, I'm sure. Also it would probably be a good idea to make the middle wheels as hard as possible so the edges don't just wear out quickly and soon their profile will just match the 1st and 4th wheels.
Loove you so much ive been commentimg a Lot here in the last vids❤️
Thank you soo much for the support you have been giving to this channel! its really appreciated.
lots of love back
THE LINO LIFE do you have a Snapchat Account?
i have that i dont use.

Love this set up on my k2 unnatural frames. Stock 60mm inner and 60mm Sic wheels outer.
Brilliant idea! Can't wait to get my Oysi frames and try this!
Wanna change my Roces M12 to a flat setup...so should I change the frame and wheels or just the wheels???
I enjoy videos on products and skates reviews
Ive been skating with this set up for a year now. I know now what to call it. Magic rocker. Thank u. Its the most comfortable way to skate.
Personally, I initially thought of trying this way back when but thought “Nah! That’s crazy talk.” But now I’m a touch more experienced, I can say that this does have it’s merits. That's epic solution! What about wheels hardness do keep them this same across frame?
I run 59mm and 56mm on my flt3 with round and flat centers and I have so much more control and have space for grinding.
Good point, I’ve been skating it the last month and they were really responsive, almost like a big wheel skate. Did it by accident too!
Hello, did you had to dig in the soulplate with the 68mm oysi ?
it is true i set mine up like this always!!! but the thing Lino is that after a while the wheesl wear and the magic goes away!!!! but its also a way to have the wheels rotated to optimum performance on a regular basis!!! for sure thou it works!
off course..that also happens with other rockers...they usually dont last forever ;)
Interesting idea! Great question. Did you figure it out?
Interesting Idea, I might give it a try!
It's very fun skate on "magic rockering", I love agressive on flat and that is the perfect setup for me. I use it on the 72aeon.
What wheels did you use for the middle two and was there any adjustments that you had to make before it was ready to go?

Now 5 years later riding those epic Oysi frames ❤
Sweet, just got my oysi frames. Gonna try this
haha ive had this for a while on my oysi frames too. mainly cause i didnt have round profile 60's. so theyre fun to roll around with
with me was the same...i wasnt looking for it..but i like the feeling :)
Oysi frames with 55/68 redeye wheels. Amazing!!!!!

This is really cool, I can't really transition from grind wheels, grind rocks or freestyle frames, but I see how this has a purpose for someone else.
Hi, thanks for this movie
What is the difference in diameter of wheels in rockering? Does the 84mm and 76mm diameter wheels have rockering capability?
wow lino what a clever observation! cool insight, have never thought of that 😄💪🏻
Thanks my dude..i found out about it super randomly but it does work... :)
@@RicardoLino could there be a way to do this with Aeons?
whaaaaaa youre realllllllly informational and right to the point i freakin love your videos
You are a genius
Such an interesting fact, thanks for sharing Ricardo ✌️

Smart.
it observed it randomly...but it works.. ;)
THE LINO LIFE hell yes, it would..
Great idea
Could you do this on aeon?
Where do you get 55mm weels from?
This is genius!
are usd going to launch that skinned 7 u have been rockin ??

Aggressive blading is humbling!
What's up with the USD VII's leather skin?
Don't inner wheels get a round profile after some sessions rendering this an all round wheels profile?
Also possible with old school roces fifth elements, they can be rockered
Same with Dirks!
I can really recomend to try 68-59-60-68
I see USD Sways, I click the Like button
Lino a small tiny tip if: use anti-reflective glasses. Now all the light reflects in your glasses ;).
Cool idea. Call it flat rocker
lol
Awesome!
Good info.
thanks:)
That's genius bro, "magic" is a great name
Okay but what is that good for? I see what it does but what is it for? Why can’t I just get 4 flat wheels or 4 pointy wheels?
You need to understand rockering of skate wheels then if you don't understand. check this out for why you would want rockering setup skating.thierstein.net/Knowledge/Inline_Skating_Rollerblading_Knowledge_Rockering.html

Multi-Profile Rocker is dope
Its fun!!!!!! !
Those black skates with white frames look sic. Are those available at your skate shop?
Yeah man , same question here! what are those skates?? would really like 2 know
Did you guys find out what skates are they?
ignored sin It's USD 7 with a skin made by Gboots, not sure on availability to the public.
Gimped wheel setups new name
I've been doing it for years, so perhaps 'Dean's rockering'?
Magnifique
👍 from France
All agressive inline skates are rockerred?
did something happen to your mic?
sooooo cooool

Good man 💪👍👌👏
Ricardo lino: guys guys guys.... ive invented a new rockering system
Me counting on my hand: oh shit here we go again
Il rockering lo applicato sugli aeon 80. 76 80 80 76 e sono troppo maneggevoli!
The Lino Rocker.
interessting magic, haha
BLACK MAGIC ;) straight from South Africa..hehehe
more boot like
I just ordered new wheels before watching this Video. Now i'm regreting it ._.
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Id just call it Flat-round rockering
Rides flat with all your body weight, I'm sure.
Also it would probably be a good idea to make the middle wheels as hard as possible so the edges don't just wear out quickly and soon their profile will just match the 1st and 4th wheels.
wooo like number 666
Dude audio is sounding a bit harsh. Other than that love you man and keep it up :D
First
