    Listening to Persian music for the first time. Although I don't understand a thing (except the word 'Dariya' perhaps), the tune reminds me of Binte Dil. And I realize it's a big thing to listen to and appreciate music when you do not understand the lyrics, so kudos to you. Your interest/love for different kinds of music is wonderful.

      To understand the music you just have to learn some words used not the whole language. I am Iranian and learn English in the same way. For example "Majnoon"=insane and "Eshg"=love
      Also, I suggest you listen to Hayde. Iran all-time pop music legend like the following song:

      How could I know that this longing would drive me so crazy;
      That it would make my heart a prison, and my eyes a river?
      How to know tears like a flash flood would carry me away,
      And hurl me like a ship into a vast sea of blood?
      That waves would beat and split this ship, board by board,
      Until each board twists away from all the many tortures?
      That the sea monster would raise its head and swallow the sea;
      That such an immense sea would go dry like a desert plain?
      When these transformations occurred, naught remained;
      What do I know, "why" and "ineffable" are sunken by each other?
      O how many the “I don’t know” there are, but I don’t know
      For I have swallowed the foam of opium, to forget that sea!

    Humayun is truly a legend. He learned singing from his father, great master Mohammad Reza. you were right, The rhythm of this song is almost close to Indian songs. Humayun has also sung a joint song with Pakistani singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan called flaming, which is worth hearing and your reaction. Also the song of him called is so beautiful and it's combination of traditional and modern music.Thank you for your reaction to this song. Much love from Iran ❤️❤️❤️🇮🇷🌺

    that technique is not vibrato, we call it Tahrir. it's a melodic movement that runs over many notes and makes any note be heard separately and clearly while vibrato is done on a single note. It's somehow similar to melismatic singing in western opera but in a unique way. this type of music and singing is full of mind-blowing techniques, and it takes years and years hard training to be a master. and you should listen to his father (Mohammadreza Shajarian) as well, the only legend of Iranian singing.

    If I am not mistaken, you must be from Eastern Europe. For this reason, you have a bit of the spirit of the East of the world, and unlike other friends who react to Iranian music, I feel that you can understand the spirit of Eastern music. Let me say something about Paradise. Of course, you may already know. The word Paradise is derived from the Persian word Pardis, which was the name of the garden of Cyrus the Great. I used Google Translate. Sorry if the sentences are wrong.

    It is a song describing how a man beginning to understand the meaning of love relationship with the Creator, and where he stands and how much the Creator put what ever he sees as He wants it. And how infinite is the Creator.
    Truely if we ponder the relationship, we would shed tears. How in this relationship, we are the unfaithful ones. While He patiently waiting for us to return to Him. For His love is greater. Oh Allah. Surely we will return to You, make our return to you, the return of the ones who longed for long missed loved One. And not the return of those who denied You. Allahumaghfirli (Allah, forgive me).

    If you would like to hear more Iranian music of a different type, give Bahram - Inja Irane a try. A rap song from 2008, it is a song of utter truth and describes the plight of Iranian people since the revolution extremely well. Also another Homayoun song you could give a try is called Homayoun Shajarian - Chera Rafti. A very sombre song written by a travelling poet who came home to find his father had passed away and wrote a poem about it. Good luck and all the best.

    How could I know?
    This desire would drive me so insane
    Turn my heart into an inferno
    Flood my eyes with a deluge
    --------
    How could I know?
    A torrent
    Would carry me so sudden
    And Throw me like a ship
    Amidst an ocean of blood
    And strike that ship with a wave
    That would break every plank
    And each plank would fall
    In divergent spins
    --------
    A leviathan would then raise its head
    And drink all the water
    And such endless ocean
    Would turn dry like a desert
    --------
    When these changes came to pass
    Neither ocean remained nor desert
    And I know not why
    For this uncertain is drowned in the absolute
    --------
