For all you guys just starting your coyote obsession, these guys point out 2 of the most important aspects about this game , I have been calling coyotes for almost 40 years now , this x wave is a game changer , and I wouldn’t expect anything less from the dillons , al and abner , I just hope it is easy on battery life 💪
Stand in an open field ✅ Bright lights ✅ Move around ✅ and then slaughter coyotes. What the heck am I doing wrong?!? I was told camo up…don’t move and no spot lights. Please explain.
You can call coyotes from a big yellow school bus as long as a lights in their face. Camouflage is completely unnecessary when hunting with lights as you’re not trying to fool their sight, you’re trying to take it away completely. Same thing a police officer does when he approaches a vehicle at night by putting a light in your face so you can’t see him is what we do to a coyote. You just have to trigger him with a call first. Plus NEVER EVER turn off your light when calling as that’s your number one advantage, plus you can’t see them with the light off unless you’re running thermal or night vision. And never get right next to an obstruction like a tree or something they can’t get behind. Gotta keep line of sight and keep the light in their face.
I’ve been watching this show for a while now but yet to go out to target coyotes but this year in central pa the third Saturday of archery I witnessed a coyote chasing my deer was able to take my first dog at 20 yards with my bow I’m hooked and ready
I agree about the wind. Some years ago I had my best short session killing ground squirrels. They typically like warm calm conditions but this day was 15-25 mph wind. I was shooting directly into the wind with a single shot 17HMR. I nailed 47 with a box of 50 shells. With the wind they didn’t notice I was there and I could get within 50-75 feet on my golf cart. I wish every day was like that. Most times feel lucky getting a dozen or so per box of shells.
I’m hooked on your channel. But one question. Why do you take the coyotes and cats back to your truck? Do you have to report them to the game ranger? I’d think they’d make a fine meal for some angry birds.
Thanks for the schooling, and pretty much all sportsman understand the need for counseling after wounding an animal. Or missing and being haunted by not knowing if you hurt it.
His comment about feeling like Doctor Phil was funny funny. I hate a sloppy kill myself ... unless it's a hog and then I'm glad he crawls off to die somewhere I don't have to drag the carcass away.
How does the bright white light work overall does it ever spoke them ? Curious I always use red cause alot of ppl say white spokes them but seems to be a lie proven here..
They explain it all in their videos. You just have to watch the ones where they actually go into your question. They perfectly and completely prove that white lights work. Strong white lights. But they eventually also admit that thermal is superior for spotting animals at greater distances.
We live three miles from a paved road. Tertiary country road. When a mild wind blows from the direction of the road we can hear vehicles. That's the only time we can hear them.
I think you have done a video on this before, your camera set up with the lights under it. I'd love some more info/pic of this set up if possible please.
You were talking about the wind in the video I was wanting to know would it be better if the wind was blowing straight into your face that way they'd never knew you were even there now
Yes and that is explained in many predator hunting videos. A crosswind can also be used but the coyote will often try and get downwind of you to bust you.
By killing coyotes, hunters give an unnecessary foothold to species lower in the food chain, and nature responds by creating more coyotes to control those populations. Therefore, the go-to reason for coyote-killing is, in effect, a great reason not to kill them.
@@nightcrew3115 Hey, Hear Me out and think about this for a second. I don't want you to agree with me, but for a few seconds, leave all that you ever learned about these animals and listen to me. I am researching the coyote human conflict in the The US. I am from India and in India, we too have Golden Jackals(Very Much Coyotes), Wolves, Dholes, Foxes, Lynx, Hyenas. We are not allowed to hunt them, but still, they never come into our farms or harm us or any of our pets. I think the only solution might be to bring the grey wolf back. I hear your perspective, I think the difference between where you’re from and have experienced and what we’ve experienced here first hand from what coyotes can do is where the difference is. There are many situations that warrant keeping the populations in certain areas in check. The only way you can understand that personally is to have lived here and experienced what kind of havoc they can cause, especially if you get a bad one that has free reign to do what he wants. You don’t see that there, but if you were a cattle rancher that depended on the cows you raise for your livelihood, it would make much more sense why we do what we do. It’s hard to convey that to someone who hasn’t seen it. I mean no disrespect at all, it’s just a reality anyone who’s ever experienced coyote problems first hand get. It’s not uncommon for some landowners to offer to pay us to get rid of them cause they want them gone so bad if that gives you an idea. There’s no real solution to the problem other than eliminating it all together in the immediate area.
