Great video! The only downside of using NeXT Screen is that I can't save the settings I'm using. Naming the NXT is quite pointless when nothing else gets saved so I assume I'm doing something wrong.
Thanks for the tip. The NeXTScreen utility works well. As it happens, I was able to bring the screen back to life, but NeXTScreen will be a good fallback.

I think I kind of figured out. Following is what I used for my ports and it is working. USB0::0X0694::0X0002::001653016736::RAW USB0::0X0694::0X0002::00165303CC6E::RAW I think 0X0694::0X0002 it is the same for all NXT. The rest is the mac address of a NXT brick and it is unique. Hope this helps.
How about speaker replacement on an NXT? I picked up an NXT at a garage sale, everything works but the diaphragm of the speaker came off. Any pointers to replacement speakers or mods to alternate speakers? Too bad we can't connect via bluetooth. Thanks in advance
I tried out the NeXTScreen, but, I can't connect with the default setting for port. Should I change "usb" to something else? I saw you were able to connect to different NXT bricks. How do you let the NeXTScreen know which port(s) to connect to your NXT bricks ? I am using win 7 64-bit with the 64-bit driver for NXT. From the device manager in Windows, I can see the Lego MindStorms NXT device installed.

Blast that ribbon cable connection to the PCB with a hair dryers and while it's still hot squeeze it with a pair of pliers!
I may give repairs another try at some point. but to be honest I prefer controlling everything from one place anyway

seems like brixcc is long abandoned - is the testing release the right one or the last official release (even older)?
I've been using the latest official release (3389) for years. I've never tried the test release.
