- Navy SEAL Sniper Instructor, Chris Sajnog, teaches you about The Power of Dry Fire and Building Perfect Neural-Pathways
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Learn the power of neural pathways from a Navy SEAL and how they can enhance your dry fire practice. Some people believe that dry fire doesn't work or don't understand the importance of learning how to shoot at home.
In this short video I'll use a few tongue twisters to demonstrate how strong a single imperfect skill can forever damage your ability to get it right. Of course I'll also demonstrate how building neural pathways and learning something slow and perfect makes skill development easy.

After you subscribe to my channel, I have a quick story you’re going to want to hear...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Did you know, it wasn’t until I retired from the Navy that I discovered the real secrets of how to become a better shooter?
...Years ago, when the Naval Special Warfare Command (WARCOM) selected me to develop the curriculum for the U.S. Navy SEAL Sniper training program, I was still teaching the old rules of marksmanship… This included focusing on techniques such as shooting platform, grip, sight picture, trigger control, etc.
While these are important, they aren’t the secrets you need to become an expert shooter…
After years of research, I developed the New Rules of Marksmanship that has helped literally thousands of people unlock their potential to not only become a better shooter, but improve ANY skill they want. Moreover, it saves you time and money, and can be done from home!
After you learn these free secrets, promise me you will use them... Then reach out and let me know how it has changed your life!

Great training video Chris an has help get so much in my shooting.Whoowa Chris thanks all this has really help improve. God bless
Things mastered slowly become easier to do quickly. That seems so obvious in hindsight, but it had never occurred to me til Chris' video. Thank you, coach.
Chris, this is the real deal. I never realized how powerful this approach could be.... until, I realized that this is consistent with the training of every other professional athletic capability for EVER SPORT. You are the man, for bringing this into-focus for shooting skills. Thanks man. Keep it up.
Your approach to better shooting through the mind and body is the pathway to the next level. Things we don't bother to think about make tremendous difference in our performance. Another great video sensei... learning is forever.
Sir, I just found your videos and I wanted to thank you for what you do. Aside from you being a Veteran... I'm not sure of the percentage... I'm guessing it's about 1% of our American population??? Probably less. Very sad!All Americans should join the Armed Services! I'm retired Army, our Sons are Airforce and Daughter told the Recruiter that she was already a 17 year Army Veteran and went to college instead of enlisting. Veterans are key to our freedom! Chris, you've taken it a step further by passing on your knowledge and wisdom gathered over your lifetime to train, or better yet, guide others on how to just be better! Better at shooting, awareness, just better people, Americans, humans... I'm looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Thank you!
ME
after doing your training at home I decided to go to the range and I saw my self shooting perfect on my first run at the target. I even decided to do the range test for CHL, and shoot 247 out of 250. I can honestly say your training has helped tremendously.
thank you very much.
I still continue to practice at home and only go to the range once a month, thanks
Once again Chris shows the difference in just shooting and training to shoot effectively. He goes way beyond the basics and demonstrates how to employ perfect practice. I have read How to Shoot Like a Navy SEAL and Navy SEAL Shooting and my focus and results have made big improvements. Thanks Chris!
Thanks Chris. This applies to other physical skills. I can tell you it applies to playing blues guitar and west coast swing dancing too. Run it thru slowly over and over perfectly. Until you can't do it wrong. Then speeding up is a lot easier, just as you say.
Chris, I found out about you by reading your book The New Rules of Marksmanship.
I didn't think I was going to learn much, but alas, I gave it a 'shot' as I'm always trying to improve.
I read about the section of extreme front sight focus and didn't think much of it, but your mental approach is what caught my attention. So I went to the range and tried it.
I took 15 head shots (distance shooting has always been my nemesis with my handguns) at 50 ft and just 'trusted' my aim. Never taking my eyes off the sights to see the results.
When I retrieved my target I was sold. 15 hits out of 15 rds.
I've read all your stuff, watched your videos since. Love that your approach is leading by example and not just 'telling' us to do something. Everybody does that.
My problem, I'm realizing from dry firing is my trigger press always manipulates my muzzle to the left (i'm right handed).
The only way I've found to minimize this (other than a firmer grip to compensate) is to use MORE trigger finger (Distal joint), but I can't fix it totally.
Recommendations on how to approach this and resolve it long-term?
Also, I'm having issues STAYING focused on the front sight, and I'm certain it's a vision thing. My eyes just won't stay focused. Is that just a by-product of my age (44) and something I'll have to learn to deal with?
Still can't get that 'ragged hole' though. But it's my goal.
Thanks for everything! I love your work and keep the tips coming. I'm a firearms instructor in MN with 5 other instructors working with me. I keep pushing your stuff on them hoping they'll see the same light bulb you've shown me.
Hi Chris, are you near the Twin Cities?
Chris Sankey yes sir.
+Chris Chandler If interest, I would be happy to bring you as a guest to the outdoor pistol range at Minnetonka Sportsmen's Club - (www.minnetonkasportsmeninc.com). I am an instructor and pistol range coordinator at MSI where we could shoot and see if a fresh set of eyes helps.
+Chris Sankey: Hey Chris. I'm absolutely interested and much appreciate your offer.
I teach most Saturday's but know I have one free coming up next week or week after. what would work for you?
Chris (at) carrypermit (dot) net.
+Chris Chandler: Chris, I left you a voicemail (number from your website) with my phone number. I live minutes from the range and have a flexible schedule so feel free to give me a call to set a convenient time.
Chris, this a great training. I also apply it to archery practice and my guitar playing. Shooting with my Glock 23 in .40 S&w is better already.
Thank you for this and thank you for your service!
Thank you so much for your service to our country. I am very impressed with you training methods and have been training at home on your dry fire training and your grip training and also reading your book HOW TO SHOOT LIKE A NAVY SEAL all i can say is what an improvement they have done for my shooting at the range which is in my back yard.
Your videos are excellent, thanks so much for making this knowledge available.
Really helped reinforce and support the way I actually DO go and fire at the range. I set aside 4 mags and go slowly through the first one. Picking and aiming concentrating on my stance and breathing, as much as I can. Next one I do the same, but try to keep my sight picture, while firing a little faster. By the time I'm on my 4th mag, I may not be rapid firing, but my body is much more comfortable and finds my sight picture much faster, thus allowing me to fire at a much faster pace, too. #greatexercise
I want to thank you very much you have really helped me out with my shooting Thanks!!!
Amazing advice, works wonders. Very practical.
Love the training & methods Chris. We largely are not privy to the slumps we have grown into in our mental status ( the lack of how we think). It is the same across the disciplines. The same methods are learned in the Martial Arts, in Sales, in Woodworking & Furniture Making, etc. Thanks for the training excersize. Knowing how our beings function is the key to understanding how to develop skills.
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Great vid!
very nice guy, maybe its the key , slow motion!
Greetings from Germany
Excellent video.
Thank you. I liked how you explaned this.I also like how the wall of your toolshed changes. :)
That was excellent!
Good info. Ahh, what's up with the shed?
Totally worked!
Anything that helps me save money on ammo is great! Amazing material. Really. Thanks for sharing.
does this save money on ammo, or does it help you get the best value out of the ammo?
Great video
Great videos. I'm already a decent shooter but I think I can still learn and train better. After seeing all of the great reviews on Amazon, I ordered your book.
I practice with a laser trainer bullet and I highly recommend them for those who want to isolate and train trigger finger control. They're about $80, not exactly cheap, but worth it.

Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast ( not sure who quoted this but here's one..

Thankyou Sir,good tool's to know when dry firing my weapon..
Hello 👋 and Thanks for sharing your knowledge✨🙏👍 Such.....Great, informative videos!!!! God Bless You!!

Clever backdrop swap 🤣
Beautiful anolgy
Anything on recoil management?
That's what they do at Front Sight firearms training.
Slow, faster, slow again, faster than last time, slow down again, then really fast.
Several times throughout the course.
Awesome training!
Check them out!!!

Hi Chris does it matter if you have a longer trigger pull or a shorter one when it comes to flinching?
No, it comes down to proper practice and doing enough of it. Dry fire - more than you think.
Is it safe to do dry fire on a DA/SA pistol? I have a Taurus pt 92 AF basically the beretta m9 clone.
+Lesmes Romero yep it's safe, usually only rimfire pistols and revolvers can be damaged, but you could always buy some snapcaps if you'd feel better
+miles13242 thanks for the info
Your welcome
@@miles13242 I'm very very new at this...I've inherited a 38 Special. Will it be damaged by dry fire?
I would check what the manufacturer suggests first, but many modern manufacturers say it is okay to dry fire, some do not, personally I would recommend buying "snap caps" just for peace of mind, they cushion the blow of the firing pin and limit its forward travel, A-Zoom snap caps are pretty nice and aren't much money.
There are two main ways that revolvers ignite rounds, the first is a hammer mounted firing pin, the hammer is released and the attached firing pin strike the primer of the cartridge causing ignition. The other type of action has another step in between, in that type of revolver the firing pin isn't mounted on the hammer, but in the frame on what is called the transfer bar, the hammer strikes the transfer bar which pushes the firing pin into the cartridge primer igniting it. Most people feel the latter type is more likely to suffer damage than the hammer mounted firing pin.
people who work at assembly lines, who do repetitive motions thousands of times, they get super fast. Maybe they should learn how to dry assemble, or whatever
I train all day everyday my highest score 💯 25 meter but wen i go to competition my hands shake my groping was very bad my score 62/ 25 meters, its the second time for me in Competition the last time was same score 62 but it was 15 meters 😩🤷🏼♂️ please help i want to progress i tried everything meditation training at home dry fire i need a solution please.
I've got a video I'll be posting here a few weeks on shaking hands. Until then I'd recommend visualizing yourself performing perfectly and winning the competition.
Also, stop telling yourself your hands always shake!
Chris Sajnog thanks 🙏
forget all this ninja stuff . . . buy more cool gear. its not if you shoot good, its if you look good.
Not trying to tell it's all wrong, but those word games are manipulation. Second phrase is just easier to say, no surprise people do it better.
very cognitive.
