Hahahaha it warms my heart to think about all the money the police wasted trying to catch this guy just having fun , that was hilarious when the rider looked back and took off. ! Nice vid! Thumbs up !
If cops had a brain they wouldnt chase anyone. Unless of course the guy has a hostage or something. But if the guy is just speeding. just let them go for fuck sake. If they chase that means 2 idiots are flying down the road instead of just one. Raises the chance of injury to someone who wasnt even a part of the chase
That cop was risking tons of innocent peoples lives driving completely recklessly for absolutely no reason. Ironic you are attempting to stop him to charge him with endangering the public and what not when you are the one causing all the risk here! Just let him go and he would have slowed down as soon as you pulled off! Moto Riders aren't the problem! Unjust laws are!
Haha i love how the the other drivers were just like "oh what's that? you're in a chase? Lemme move over as soon as i do all the proper mirror checks and feel good and ready to move... might take a while..."
When the rider stopped an surveyed the sky Rofl. I wonder if he squeezed into a ally 👍 He probably went upstairs sparked up a bowl & turned on the xbox😊 Well done..
Pulled a Houdini on 'em. Lol. Seems like you guys in the UK have a similar crisis as we colonials in the US. Once you're popped for any speed 20 mph over the posted limit, you literally cannot afford to stop because the cops (rozzers?) will arrest you, impound your bike, and cause you so much misery with court dates, lawyers (solicitors?), jail time, fines, etc that you might as well just take the chance on eluding them. A descent rider has a 95% chance of geting away, but a 100% chance of getting his a$$ nailed to the wall if he stops.
Well, I'm just going from my own personal knowledge there guy. I'm not sure that actual stats exist, and without incriminating anyone in particular (including myself), I can say it is at least 95%. Police cruisers are too heavy and slow. A mechanical or crash is their only hope.
Yes, red lights at pedestrian crossings because the "green man" was lit, telling pedestrians it is now safe for them to cross. The police would probably insist they had a clear view of the crossing, even able to see young children, no less than 3ft, hidden from view.
he must have shot down a ally way or in someone's garage or front door. i sid my cbt last sunday iv got my theory test this friday then going on to do the direct access course. these vids get the heart pumping... Dumfries and Galloway police lookout the new ghost riders coming your way haha im a fuckin idiot
Those werent houses they were buildings or at least looked like buildings. And I doubt hed have enough time but its possible. so an alley seems alot more possible. Come to think of it thats definately possible. .
This is why they have speed traps .I was clocked doing 286km on my GSX-R 1100 by acopin a speed trap he did not even get in his car.Three days later i heard a knock on my door and it was the same cop in plain clothes wanting to meet the guy who was the fastest ever in his words to go through his trap.I said mate i had my bike in the shop so if you want to meet that guy i suggest you go to hotshot motor sports
Surely the speed trap was from the 'front' ? So the there is NO PLATE and at that speed to read a plate from behind .....WoW amazing 190mph and reading plates .........
mark Draco Really are calling me a liar.Cop was standing in front of his car with the dash cam facing the road. This is standard procedure in Canada in case someone does not stop. Then they analyze the film so they can catch a person who does not stop,or is going to fast to stop. Also 286km converts to 177 mph math 101 bro
***** Sorry surely ;-) , the 190 was a rough guess and if the cop got you speeding from behind and you have a big plate (surely not lol) then I can see how . But from the front NO plate and a blur would be hard to come find you . Because if you ride like in this video , you don't want your bike to stand out , no fancy lights , tiny plate (maybe altered for crazy rides) you get my drift . Either way take care be safe :-)
to the cop in the car... no visual means no pursuit.... I hope you watched this vid and realized how many people you put in danger by TRYING to chase this rider.
I have to say i trust the guy with the R1 doing 100+ with my life more than the cops doing 70 in build up area's in a vehicle at least twice the weight
Aleksandras K Many if not planes then helicopters. In Canada, they are sometimes used on long straight stretches to catch speeders, however its uncommon as expense usually outweighs the profits haha.
The UK uses spotter Planes all the time, depending on the situation, it works out cheaper because they can stay up in the air for longer periods. They use choppers at the drop of a hat these days and they pretty much always get whom their chasing. Its refreshing to see someone slipping through their net by out foxing them. Great Video Thanks for posting ;).
Oh, ok. That's some ballsy riding, much respect. How does the ghostrider make money? And what is the van your talking about? Does he have a van that he hides his bike in?
Agree with you 100%. There is nothing that the police can send out there that can stay with the R1 in terms of speed, acceleration, and manuverability. Leave the guy alone. If he loses it at a buck-twenty, he is a greasy stain on the roadway. If the cop sheds a tire at 70mph in heavy traffic he is a 3000lb cruise missile that can cause massive carnage and loss to life and limb. Why answer danger with more danger?
I also love the fact that this police car had to get right up the arse of cars and obviously was flashing its lights letting off its siren, and people didnt move despite nothing being to the left of them, for a good 5-10 seconds sometimes, and then moved in a "fuck po po are behind me". Goes to show how much attention cagers have, even with giant blue fucking lights and a siren blasting into their skulls and they still fucking miss the point for way too long, let alone a bike with nothing.
I totally agree I was cringing every time the cop passed a car or approached lights as you say he may be trained but other drivers are not and the number of motorists who have other things on their mind not to mention mobile phone law breakers are just a heartbeat away from getting killed
Last summer I was riding my bike a bit fast when the police pulled up along side me and shouted "pullover pullover".... I shouted back at them and said "No, its a T-shirt" LOLLLLL
your a biker eh? my little brother has a r6 but he says l should go for the r1 coz im tall. is this the case? my instructor says big bike are easier to ride
Derek Waddell How much riding experience do you have ?From my experience it is always better to start on a less powerful motorbike with less weight to it.If this is your first bike get the R6 in less than a year you should be ready for a more powerful ride.First thing anyone should learn when riding any bike ,because any idiot can go fast is get to know the front brake as this is always your best friend or worst enemy on a motorbike. When you know the front brake like oyu know your girlfriend it will save your life. When you don't know it it will be your enemy. To much front brake and your kissing the pavement. Most important thing about any performance bike is being able to stop under control. And last but not least never go fast where there are side streets cars always look past bikes and pull out in front of you .Of course if you want to be superman and fly through the air disregard the last statement. You don't get many second chances on a bike remember that as well.
mark Draco Definitely the R1 but not for a first bike which htis might be judging that he made a reference to his instructor.Yeah he will be bored as hell in a coiuple of month's but at least he will still be alive.R1 is to much bike for a first motorbike don't you think?
Most of the Japanese 1k's are relatively similar in performance. I have a K7 GSXR 1000. I like it just because its a very analogue and no frills bike that handles great and it's cartoonishly fast. Very reliable too. No TC to get in my way. To each his own. : )
This is some of the most insanely dangerous driving I've seen. I know these idiots are supposed to be well-trained, but it would only take the slightest misjudgment - or a deaf person stepping off the kerb - to result in real tragedy, and for what? They'd lost the guy almost straight away and should NEVER have continued this pursuit. All down to male ego and out-of-control hormones.
Okay, I take it back, this is a real pursuit video. But the displayed speed for the Volvo is grossly exaggerated. I *love* how the biker spots the helo at about 7:00 and begins the chase anew! And, most modern superbikes can exceed the airsped of all but the fastest helos. This is an awesome video, thanks! No, where's the rockin' soundtrack?[g]
04:14 VERY POOR POLICE WORK.. Almost 60MPH in a built up area and people crossing at a pedestrian crossing..HE SHOWED NO REGARD TO SAFETY of people crossing at that pedestian crossing..ONE QUESTION..If someone had been struck by that police car GOING THROUGH A RED LIGHT AT A PEDESTRIAN CROSSING and had been killed..Would it have been worth it..I will tell you what happened here..The "Red mist" came down and he was rattled because he lost the bike! SORRY THE TRUTH HURTS! I would have expected better than this from a police officer.
This is why most police dept. in the united states have a no chase policy for motorcycles. the police will put the people in more danger than the speeding biker, and the bike will eventually slow down unless you put a cop behind him. you can beat a cop car but you can't beat the radio once they get your plate, but thats why bikers around my area have license plate brackets that flip down and make the plate not visible;D
He got away, and lucky for him. In this modern age, the thing you have to worry about are the "good samaritans" on their cell phones, ready to call the police and turn you in!
Props for setting up that bird. Probably made sure/rode until that chopper was on the other side of the building, to block their view before he drove into a garage of some sort. Looing like he just completely vanished.
I love the look back and the "Oh fuck you" click down. The cop was a lot more of a danger flying at 130 than the bike was in that traffic. Glad to see he got away.
Wow! What kind of police car is that? It actually did 130mph? I'm betting the speedo is not off like motorcycles - because police have to use it to guess surrounding traffic's speed. That is seriously impressive. Oh I guess it's a volvo from the description. Still impressive speed for what I can only guess is a large car.
I kind of agree with you here, I mean watching that cop do 65+MPH through a built up area is absolutely disgusting and just as much of a risk as the bike doing 120+ on the dual carrigeway!
The old, 'phone a mate with a van' trick, I like that one... LOL my personal fav is the turn around in a long tunnel trick, like the one in Plymouth. Chopper say bye bye
Good old Portsmouth Police Force!! Couldn't even catch a cold! Funny i ride most of these roads each month and nothing ever happens, then again this is quite old footage. haha great laugh this vid shame there is no sound!
i just found this video.. im alwayswatching shit like this... and i know the rider hahaha.... and been on the back.. glad he didnt go like that with me on it.. fuuucckkk thaaaatttt lol
This situation was made considerably more dangerous to the general public by the actions of the police. Its time we had only grownups in the police force.
I've watched this twice to see how he lost the eye in the sky because at first I was left scratching my head. But in second viewing it's so obvious -- the guy operating the camera never looked back down the road to see if the biker turned around. He was so focused on the area where he last saw him. He must've thought he was hiding in there somewhere. Obviously the motorcyclist did a U-turn and went back the way he came into town. Nice move!
I havent personally been in that situation so im not 100% sure lol but i am more than certain that they are not as aggressive as they cops are in the US. They will still be aggressive as it really is just to ensure their own safety but i think you would typically see less police swarming on a suspect and certainly less fire arms being drawn. I hope this answers your question buddy.
I agree with sdm103176. The cop's speed is clearly marked on the video footage and he's driving over 100 MPH in moderately dense freeway traffic, running red lights and tailgating numerous drivers to try and catch the bike. The cop in this case increased the risk to bystanders and other motorists significantly by his decision. This chase could easily have led to the cop causing a severe accident.
You'r half right. I love speed, but there's a time and a place for it. And it shouldn't be infront of other people that could end up hurt. if you're only responsible for your own life then its fine. But as soon as theres other traffic involved...
That cop hit speeds in excess of 130MPH in his 3,600 pound car, in traffic congested public roads, attempting to catch up to a 400 pound motorcycle. He should go to jail.
Ha Ha last time ..... It was chasing me , you can see me looking up on the video and really go on the Net & look up 'Hampshire Spotter Plane' . Then you can put this to rest . Take it easy dude
He has a website, he posted a video saying he wouldn't carry on doing what he's doing unless his fans show support and donate. The van is a getaway if it's getting too hot. He rides straight into it and hides.
Good job buddy. It's not an easy thing to outsmart the police helicopter. Before they had these we had the upper hand. The traffic cops would always abort the chase once it got above about 110-120 mph. Gose to show it can still be done.
recently also in the uk police were chasing thieves in a stolen Audi rs5 1 of only 2 in the uk he was recorded at 180mph thought to be the fastest recorded speeding driver in the uk and if im not mistaken they even said if he had continued along the m6 the driver would have outrun the helicopter
Beating a chopper in the sky is something else . Big respect to this rider
the cop is more dangerous than rider,,,
Hahahaha it warms my heart to think about all the money the police wasted trying to catch this guy just having fun , that was hilarious when the rider looked back and took off. ! Nice vid! Thumbs up !
I love watching the erratic camera movements towards the end, you can tell just how pissed off they were that they lost him.
What makes me laugh is chasing the person whose on a bike in a car at high speeds seems to be double the danger thanks to the cops.
@Mike Lopez This isn't america?
why chase the guy you have is reg just go is house unless nicked but putting that many lives at risk the police are worse

I have to say police driving was unnecessary danger.
Haha good to see someone outsmart the chopper! Personally havent seen that before.
All that for a ticket that could of been around 150 dollars the cops risked so much people lifes smh
double thespeed limit licence is gone refuse to stop and its jail in the uk

Rudi Tuti If the traffic was a bit heavier than it was he would have been gone after that first lane split around 1:40
you get jail time in the uk and a 5 year ban and have to retake your test plus community service

Yes, red lights at pedestrian crossings because the "green man" was lit, telling pedestrians it is now safe for them to cross. The police would probably insist they had a clear view of the crossing, even able to see young children, no less than 3ft, hidden from view.

If he didnt get caught, how did you get the footage?
You'r half right. I love speed, but there's a time and a place for it. And it shouldn't be infront of other people that could end up hurt. if you're only responsible for your own life then its fine. But as soon as theres other traffic involved...
That cop hit speeds in excess of 130MPH in his 3,600 pound car, in traffic congested public roads, attempting to catch up to a 400 pound motorcycle. He should go to jail.
Was his license plate(the biker's) visible on their camera? Was he caught?
Bravo marko very impressed 10/10
Ha Ha last time ..... It was chasing me , you can see me looking up on the video and really go on the Net & look up 'Hampshire Spotter Plane' . Then you can put this to rest .
Take it easy dude
This cop should be thrown in jail for endagering the public with his driving.
He has a website, he posted a video saying he wouldn't carry on doing what he's doing unless his fans show support and donate. The van is a getaway if it's getting too hot. He rides straight into it and hides.
The original R1, what a motorcycle.
Anyone going that fast doesn't have time for a ticket
I love police logic, nobody is allowed to speed but me. His bigass heavy vehicle weaving through traffic at 130 is far more dangerous than that bike.
What type of things?
Examples?
Good job buddy. It's not an easy thing to outsmart the police helicopter. Before they had these we had the upper hand. The traffic cops would always abort the chase once it got above about 110-120 mph. Gose to show it can still be done.
Thanks. I was bent on figuring out how the chopper lost him.
recently also in the uk police were chasing thieves in a stolen Audi rs5 1 of only 2 in the uk he was recorded at 180mph thought to be the fastest recorded speeding driver in the uk and if im not mistaken they even said if he had continued along the m6 the driver would have outrun the helicopter
cops breaking more traffic laws that the motorcyclist.
The day's of great silent movie are still here..👍🇮🇪☘️
Very good rider ! Good on him !
