Thank you so much because I really understand it now. It took me a while. I must have been too tired to function when my teacher taught it because I find it really easy after watching this video.
Going through the Khan Academy courses after a decade of not doing Trig. Your videos on the law of sines and law of cosines helped greatly. It wasn't clear in other forms how to actually identify which side is which in the formula, especially since the formula for the law of cosines seems to be presented simply as A² = B² + C² - 2BCcosθ without information as to what theta actually is.
God bless this man, I have a whole ass test tomorrow so I really needed this. Mind you my least favorite subject is math because I struggle the most with it but this was easy to understand. Thank you.
At 6:52 you state that we do not need to use the Law of Cosines to finish solving this triangle, that we can use the Law of Sines to finish, however our professor tells us that emphatically not to switch Laws. Any advice? Thank you.
great video but I can't access the link at the bottom right of the page can you move it up a little more or place it somewhere else? That would be great
ALOHA! So you just need to get Cos(theta) by itself so say you wanna find angle A im sure you know how to do some algebra but as you saw here a^2= b^2 + c^2 -2bcCosA, Once you do some algebra to get CosA by itself you should get CosA= b^2 + c^2 - a^2/ 2bc and then you are set to find that angle, Hope this helped you good luck ^___^
That’s a great intro, wish you’d have done the second part though too. What if you have all 3 sides and no angle. That formula doesn’t work, or at least I can’t seem to make it work.
thank you very much when i was tried thid two remaining i get like this A, 43.6° and C, 86.4°,,,,,,,,and all ready we have B all when you ad it it's equal to 180°
I'm sure you figured out your answer by now, but your calculator was in radian mode, not degree mode. Depending on your model of calculator, I'd google how to switch it to degree mode.
Guinea Pig Everyday yes because if you literally plug in what I said and MULTIPLY where you need to hence 2x9x12xcos(50) including the multiplication between 12 and cos(50) you get 138.8421 ya fuckk
you use a different type of cosine to find the angle and then continue with sin law, the formula would look like cosA = b² + c² - a ÷ 2bc, I don't have my notebook to confirm but I believe this is correct
THANK YOU! You've saved my skin! You're a better teacher than my actual teacher.
Thanks you just saved me hours of my homework because my teacher doesn't know how to teach
PERFECT! I have a maths test day after tomorrow about this topic and this seriously helped my brain a lot!!!!
Two days worth of Math class, all in an eight-minute video. Thank you so much! :)
You're the real MVP 😢❤👏 thank you!
Thanks for the kind words Teshla!
Mathmeeting, thanks for all the great math videos.take care .
Thank you so much. This was so much clearer and in depth than the lessons from my teacher
Thank you so much because I really understand it now. It took me a while. I must have been too tired to function when my teacher taught it because I find it really easy after watching this video.
Thanks math meeting! :)
Felt like reviewing this and I came straight to your video!
omg i have a test on this stuff tmr you really saved my life thanks

Thank you! i have a math exam tomorrow, this refreshed my memory

Now thanks to this, I understand quickly :) Nice teaching skills sir!
This video really helps me a lot than the other video posted thank you very much
thank you so much , you really know how teach than my actual teacher.
Quick short and simple thank you for your video!
But what if I want to find an angle?
Thank you so much, you made it so understandable.
What a legend! Better tthan my actual teacher!
Thank you sooomuch. God bless you :)
hey can I use the sine rule to workout this triangle.
How do you write the numbers? Do you use the mouse? What's your setup?
sir, laws of cosines can de used in any triangle ,i.e,isosceles triangle
Thank you so much sir, this really helped to clear some things up for me!
great video but I can't access the link at the bottom right of the page can you move it up a little more or place it somewhere else? That would be great
+Kedar Wright Thanks for the feedback Kedar! I will fix the link right away :)
Thank you, you saved me for my trig test tomorrow.
you are so good at math omfg, can you teach me irl? ty
Wht if the angle given doesn't have the side angle?
How do you use the law of cosines to find one of the angles and not the sides?

Helpful lesson, thank you!
I'm failing Pre- Cal
i feel you bro
Same
im getting 99% lol
what are you exactly here for then?
دانية اناناس idk. for fun
Can use the.same for sin and tan
Video was so helpful!
Great explanation. Thank you
Your video is awesome, thanks so much it really helped :)
This is extremely helpful......😉😉
I was absent when my teacher teach the cosine law🤣you help me a lot thanks
Great Video! Thanks for the help!
Thank you . This helped loads
I love uuuu
the teacher said : who know the rule will get 2 extra points 😍😍😍😍
Thank you so much!! Very helpful.
What did I do wrong I got 208.43 when multiplying 2*9*12*cos(50) on calc
thank you, this save me!!
thank you very much when i was tried thid two remaining i get like this
A, 43.6° and C, 86.4°,,,,,,,,and all ready we have B all when you ad it it's equal to 180°
how did you get 138.8421?because when i compute 2(9)(12)cos50 is 208.432662.
I'm sure you figured out your answer by now, but your calculator was in radian mode, not degree mode. Depending on your model of calculator, I'd google how to switch it to degree mode.
Is this geometry or trigonometry
where did you get 138.8421
Heriberto Rivera he got it from multiplying 2•9•12•cos(50) after you plug that in you get 138.8421
U think heriberto was that much of an idiot he meant how becuz like me i got a totally different number
nvm he just didnt mention DEG mode
Guinea Pig Everyday yes because if you literally plug in what I said and MULTIPLY where you need to hence 2x9x12xcos(50) including the multiplication between 12 and cos(50) you get 138.8421 ya fuckk
My Problem with this is when I times everything at the end I get 10800 so what am I doing wrong
Helpful! Thank you!
Helped thanks
You're welcome Benjmamin
100% subscribe nd very helpful
Great job
I hope this would help me for my entrance exam 👍👍👍
what if they give you all three sides but no angle
you use a different type of cosine to find the angle and then continue with sin law, the formula would look like cosA = b² + c² - a ÷ 2bc, I don't have my notebook to confirm but I believe this is correct
also once you do that equation you must perform Cos-¹ on the calculator to your answer and then you have your angle
thank you very much
+kawneer mahi replace a with a² on that equation I gave you
The u use Heron's formula I guess.
What if they give you all 3 sides. What then?
Is your name Brandon?
you just make math easy
I still don't understand how you got the 138.8421.
put 2x9x12xcos(50 in ur calculator thts how u get it and make sure tht ur calculator is in math mode not scientific
So helpful!!!....now to remember. :/
Wait, how ya got -138.842? I double checked it on my calculator and I got about -208.433.
THANK YOU!
As possible to solve( cosA=b'2+c'2-a'2 /2bc ) by method partial Derivative
What a legend
in my calculator 2x9x12xcos(50)=208.463662 ??
you have to set yoir caculator in grades not decimal
really helpful
Thank you so much
thanks so much !!
how did you get 138.8421????? i got 204
2×9×12 cos50 solve this with a scientific calculator
AWESOME!
got it! thank you!
I hate doing this type of math- I never understood this type of math
i got it :) thanks :)
Thank a lot
Rubiks cube 5x5 part 5 PLZ!!!
will you do it for 3sides? :)
pls correct me if im wrong
1000Thanks
nice vid
The blues are mixed up! I can't pay attention because of it....

Rohit maurya
i fucking love u so much
best
fucken thank fuk eh
jim bean here, wanted to tell you your deadly
smart
Turns out i knew how to do this just forgot to find the square roots😂
Identities is the dumbest math related concept I have ever "learned"
YOUR WORKING IS WRONG
Are you god?
