    The fact that it is was the mom who wouldn't let him go of her son at the beginning of the movie, and by the end of the movie, it's the father. I absolutely love this moment.

      If you read the novel it adds WAAAY more weight to this scene and actually makes sense why his dad is so attached to Sam. I encourage you to find a copy of it. It really makes ROTF a better movie in my opinion

    Since Sam's parents weren't involved in the climax of TF1, this is really the first time they get a taste of the chaos and terror Sam keeps going through. I like to think his dad especially develops a newfound respect for him here.

      To be real with y’all my father was in a coma for 2 months. And every time I went to see him. I would go to the chapel in the hospital to pray, god bless this hospital. He was treated at the Methodist hospital in Houston. And he had one of the best surgeons in the country unfortunately I don’t remember the Doctors name. But if I ever saw him I would walk up and give him a hug and thank him for saving my dads life. Family is the most important thing in life and never take it for granted. Thank you to all who are reaching out. It warms my heart to see people that truly care.

    Powerful scene right here, this shows how every father who have only one sons are fearful they may never see their child ever again in a deadly battle in the military. In this case with dangerous Decepticons bent on destroying the earth, Ron being the protective father he is very fearful that he may never see Sam again if he goes out in between the war of the Autobots, the military and the Decepticons.

    Revenge Of The Fallen is genuinely a good movie. The external conflict is the Decepticons vs the Autobots, and the Fallen's plan, and the internal conflict is a simple but powerful story about growing up and letting go. All tied together in a cgi spectacle bow. This scene brings the two conflicts together, and combines them to make the awesome finale.

    Me and my dad was in army arround same time for arround 6 years. He was a battalion sgm in army. He came out to one of our combat outposts on a mountain that I was assigned to patrol. He brought a group to replace some guys. I was one of them. I saw him maybe 2 times during the deployment. He got me and a few other guys to go back to a fob with hot chow and hot water. I wanted to stay. But he pushed me to get out for a few days. As we got airborne and started flying out. We hear a tic come across radio. He and three other guys died. One of my worst decisions was leaving. I fight the demons everyday and I miss him so much

  • @ShaneFussell
    @ShaneFussell ปีที่แล้ว +21

    Goddamn. This movie is such a mess, but this scene? Shit man. Brings a tear to my eye. From the acting to the music, you just feel the emotions so much. With the parallels and inversion of the start of the film with the mom saying he needs to let go, when he was the one ready to say good bye at the start, it’s just so moving. You see the fear in the dad’s eyes, he’s way out of his league but all that’s on his mind is keeping his family safe, keeping his son safe. The way he talked to Sam, “we’re all going together!” Wasn’t even a demand, you can hear in his voice he’s more pleading with Sam because he knows that Sam probably knows exactly what’s going on.
    Good god, for such a whack movie, this is honestly one of the emotional highlights if not the best emotional and character driven moment within the Bayverse.

      @@kitsurobo8357 it's a flawed film with a script that was written in 3 days no professional script is ever written in just 3 days the problems with the film include
      1: There isn't enough time devoted to the Autobots nor Decepticons this is a transformers film first & for most & if you don't have the budget for giant robots then don't do a film about giant robots
      2: to many sexual innuendos a couple is fine every once in a while after all us as humans do have sexual desires but tone it down Transformers is a brand to sell toys & toys apeal to children
      3: the giant robots with the screen time they were given are depictided as nothing more then killing machines (Jetfire is still really cool tho) Optimus litterallly executes an unnarmed warrior, kills one that begs for his life, & while justified in killing the fallen he does so brutally while proclaiming give me your face, if you want to convince me the autobots are good guys then have them kill only when nessecary & when they do they do it quickly so thir enemy dosen't have to suffer
      this isn't to say the film dosen't have it's moments for example this scene but this scene was way to good for a film to busy shoving mindless violence, sex appeal, & stupid jokes down our throats don't even get me started on the twins, look at the end of the day if you like this movie fine don't let me ruin it for you, but claiming it's anything other then a comfort action flick is giving the film way to much credit.

      @@daniellemeikle2050 Wow dude, you clearly don't understand, This film sidelined the Transformers hard in this film, regardless if the first film did a great job at setting them up it still fumbled the ball due to the budget not allowing for more Transformers screen time you know the thing you came to the movie for, they maximized the scren time for the robots excellently in the first film, The autobots not showing up till the end made sense, due to them being offworld, & the Decepticons laying low, with the second film their is no excuse also yes i am aware it's bay's style for sexual inneudo's in his fims, but like i said in comment before this film was greenlit by Hasbro to sell toys, which primarly appeals to children theirfor, even if the film is Pg-13 tone down the sexual inneudos because it's not appropriate in this setting, plus the sex jokes are really not that funny atlest to me, next time if your going to debate, please bring real discussion points

    I hated this movie. It was the dumbest Bayformers movie, until Age of Extinction and The Last Knight happened. Just mindless action, brain numbing "comedy" with even worse delivery, and just a very incoherent story.
    But, man, they sure did great with this moment. Not played as a joke or anything. Just a father who doesn't want his only son going into a battle between giant robots.
