The label is trying to copy the coat of arms of George Calvert. Is Sagamore distilling their own liquor yet? I’ve got bottle 0976 batch 6AG distilled in Indiana. It’s good. ✌️
Not copying… just expressing the awesomeness of the MD Flag. Cecil Calvert did establish and Govern Maryland. Half of the MD flag is the Calvert Coat of Arms.
I always pass on this one too because I see it other places. Doubt I’ll pick it up for me, but maybe for a friend as a gift!
Currently my favorite pour. Love the nose, seems to get sweeter as it sits in the glass. I tell everyone it's a bourbon drinker's rye.
Def more on the sweet than spicy side
Nice review. Not a big rye guy, but people tell me I need to try the Sagamore Double Oaked. It is $55 near me. 🥃
🥃 I’d go with the new Elijah Craig toasted rye over this one

Oh yeah they are the biggest distiller in MD
