People really don't understand how much of an influence Breaking Benjamin has had on the metalcore genre since 1999. MIW being a big example of this. It's blatantly obvious but Chris has gone on the record saying BB was a strong influence on him, which makes a lot of sense seems how they both are from Pennsylvania.
thanks for the video! I think if anyone went and listened to all of SATURATE, then listened to this, you could buy that AWAKEN was from that album. to me, it matches the style of it perfectly. There is a reason Chris Cerulli 'motionless' can sound like Ben and why MIW sometimes as a band sounds like BB. Chris and all of the original MIW and all the original members of BB are from essentially the same place. BB based in Wilkes Barre, PA and MIW from West Scranton. BB played in local clubs before getting noticed by a local DJ who contacted a record agent to sign them. IN NEPA we were all listening to BB on radio way before the released SATURATE here is a link (if YT lets it show) to a early BB show (Ben with long hair) they played in June 2003 at the Staircase in Pittston PA, the crowd knows all the lyrics because their songs were all over local mainstream and college radio I would nearly bet MONEY that Chris Motionless was in the crowd at THIS show 😁 "breaking benjamin live at the staircase pittston pa 2003" th-cam.com/video/vsezuD7mYow/w-d-xo.html
Some of y'all just remember that he's screaming, yet forgetting he wasn't screaming MUCH Two words in the chorus throughout the whole song is not screaming much The amount of screaming in Awaken is comparable to Believe for me And I'm consistently listening to BB for 15 years now, I said what I said
Live 10 minutes from both BB and MIW. Bens been screaming for 25 years. Go listen to Saturate. Still there heaviest album. Ben Burley is one of the most talented rockers out there. Hes pushing 50 also lll@slaveformusic
I have 0 proof but I'm pretty sure the ''taken by the tide'' scream is made by their bassist Aaron. The ''arise'' scream is made by Ben tho. great song
It is 100% ben screaming that, you can hear his voice color in the scream, because this technique of screaming you sing in pitch and add a lot of compression to get that fry on top of your voice, we call it pitched screams because it has pitch I guess, and this one is one of the best ever.
@@Balovante nah, you can clearly see the difference between ''arise'' and ''by the tide'', I've watched like 100 shows of BB and it sounds like Aaron screaming.
You had mentioned in your Linkin Park video that you wanted to check out Dead Sara but I have not seen any videos from you reacting to them so I just wanted to drop you a link to a playlist I created on TH-cam of my favorite Dead Sara performances, just in case you are ready to start down that rabbit hole. th-cam.com/play/PLW9HNZ6wQA9RgmJD7wdBdy7Chp7r8u0ly.html&si=rLGvfmD_y2mFbG_u
motionless in white is a product of Ben Burnley

Motionless in white especially Chris Motionless is heavily influenced by Breaking benjamin, Ben burnley voice is iconic and is goated.
