Then I built it to my needs. Not every car or truck will have a mark up. Anyone can go on Ford, Chevy, Jeep, Ram etc website and build to a certain need. Im not a car salesmen, I've learned through the years that not every car or truck will have a huge price tag. But, The Grand Wangoneer is still very over priced after trying to build one on the Jeep website, so I get you there. Anyway great info from you, love the content

look for the last 2 decades there has been 2% actual car innovation.. the rest is just repackaging and cramming more and more screens and an ungodly amount of "modules" that can be easily replaced by 1 computer heck my $2000 PC can manage like 1000 cars at the same time.. modules for seats, lights, and every single panel of your car has some behind them.. 99.9% of dealers are acting like criminals with these out of this world prices for new vehicles, which make me think that the rules and regulations regarding the direct sell of vehicles to consumers by manufacturers should be reevaluated.. in 2024 there should not be any rules demanding companies to "share" profits.. also this would mean that the cost of product to consumer would drop significantly, we already see some brands having "build yours" websites where you can assemble your new car. the only thing that happens is that the ( in my opinion) middle man ( dealers) that run costs up would not exist anymore , like blockbuster or any backwards age old "technology" or like the horse and carriage..

They sell EV’s in China for $10,000 - $15,000. There would be a lot more interest at those prices. Battery prices are plummeting. Just as a Jet is much more reliable than a piston engine airplane, electric motors are much more reliable than an ICE engine. The problem in reliability on both vehicles are all the electronics that no one really wants.

Appreciate all your thoughts, but can you discuss crash test ratings sometime? I was t-boned in my ‘18 Compass: I walked away, the Jeep was totaled. Anyone in the passenger-side may not have fared so well. In purchasing a replacement (‘20 Subaru Legacy) IIHS was my first go-to site in researching vehicles. What are the crash test ratings on these newer vehicles looking like? Do your buyers care about this, or only price?

Buy two years used and the price drops 50 percent. My Hyundai I bought used with 40k miles paid off still have it 8 years later drives smooth. My explorer bought used with 30k miles 7 years later no issues drives smooth over a 100k miles paid off. I think the only two cars I would buy new as of right now if I trade my Hyundai in is a awd maverick hybrid 2025 or a Honda civic hybrid hatchback 2025.

That right there is ONE of many reasons car companies are going bust! You can't even open the car door on a Ford Mach E because the manufacturers are that damn stupid. JFC! AND they can launch all the EV's they want inside the auto show, but people aren't going to pay top dollar for a vehicle that can barely get 300 miles on a charge that takes hours to charge! AND were those mattresses on display? That's for people to lie down after they get sticker shocked!! LOL

Brandon, I just found a 2025 red Corvette Stingray 1LT in Johnstown, OH for $65,995. It took me less than 5 minutes to find it. The GR Corolla is the most fun car I have driven. I have owned 71 cars, and driven over 250. I would never have said that before I drove it. My Fiesta ST was the most fun before the GR Corolla. A Ford Explorer ST is not the average Ford Explorer. It's the performance version of the Explorer, or were you kidding?
