- The Transformers movies have an interesting place in pop culture. While they have grossed over a billion dollars, they’re not exactly the most beloved movies. The action is exciting with much of Michael Bay’s explosions and robots punching each other but the characters and stories are lacking in certain areas. However, Paramount is not letting this franchise go, with another film on the way called Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. This will most likely be in a separate direction than the Bay films, following more of the tone set up in 2018’s Bumblebee. Still, the Bay Transformers films continue to be popular even if Paramount is beginning to move in a new direction. Here is a ranking of the six Transformers movies.

Personally my favourite is Dark of the Moon, I just love how batshit crazy it is and the fights are brutal. Michael Bay was really like let's make an R-rated transformers for kids

Bumblebee is good for what it is. If you grew up with and loved the G1 cartoon then you might be a fan. It’s also rather more on the lighthearted side. Also nostalgia may play a part in this movie (which I didn’t hold any for the 80s references shown or the G1 cartoon aside from the movie).

DOTM was great honestly some of bay's best work when he actually tried with a story the villain twist was unexpected and executed on a whim which made it shocking, everyone saw so jaw-locked when Ironhide died. The plot made sense with the whole revitalisation of Cybertron
True they should have went with the original script Optimus Prime and Megatron teaming together to whoop Sentinel and become great brothers once again but the continuation of the original triology was bad Age of Extinction was decent but the Last Knight is just trash i am glad i didn't watched it.

@@KingOfIdeasTTB Shockwave was wasted potential Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen had the most action and it's plot was okay but then again writer's strike happend and Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen had the better ending while Dark Of The Moon had the potential to have a ending to bayverse Optimus accepting Megatron's truce but no that makes Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen underatted and better then overrated Dark Of The Moon

Well, the main issue I hear people have is the story, but the movie was written / released during a writer’s strike so that (in my opinion) explains why the movie barely had a story. Regardless, I really enjoy the movie too, it has some of my favorite fights of the franchise

Transformers 1 and 2 were my favourite as it had kept me exited after rewatching all of them
I eagerly await the arrival of the Transformers in the MCU.

@@igotalife You underestimate the MCU, then. Doctor Strange could easily win a 1v1, and so could Ant-Man. Spider-Man is insanely clever, so he could get out a sticky situation (no pun intended) with relative ease. Thor is a good which at the very least puts him on par with Optimus. Hulk/She-Hulk could absolutely wreck some bots. Hawkeye could probably set some deadly traps. Iron Man (if he ever comes back, which seems likely given the track record) has Transformers level tech, and in the comics has survived a nuke, and can travel faster than light. Scarlet Witch and Vision could both easily demolish even a combiner, possibly even a cityformer. So no, the Transformers are not more powerful than the average MCU character.
@@gummygrenade Now if it was the bots from TF Cybertron, then they’d probably be stronger than most marvel characters. Optimus alone could clap Hulk and She-hulk with relative ease. Other than that Hawkeye regardless would get annihilated by any of them, I’m sorry he’s like one of the weakest MCU characters.

ROTF: Excluding the sexual jokes and unnecessary stuff that bring it down, pretty solid
DOTM: Pretty great
AOE: Same as ROTF
TLK: Aside from some of the Transformers, visuals, VFX and music, awful, very awful

Agreed. What I love about BB is the decepticons. Their bodies are so much better and they actually have color. Also like the autobots designs better. Overall the story and bots are way better than the bay films (and I love the bay films). But it still has 1 big issue imo. Too much human! How many times do we need to say it b4 they make a movie that's centered on the bots and not centered on humans with bots fighting lol. That's one thing I liked about aoe. I feel like we got a way better look at the autobots in that one that any other one. In all Bay films tho, there was barely any development for the autobots and even less for the decepticons

@@QuelKlientes it still had unnecessary sexual comments or related stuff (such as Lucas talking about Tessa “I think she’s kinda hot.” for example. Also speaking of Tessa, don’t get me started on the Romeo and Juliet Law scene)

forever the majesty of the original 2007 film will always at least for me be the best out of all the movies so far. the awe and wonder when we saw the bots for the first time will forever be so iconic and the music and sound design is just awesome. definitely something has been lost in the movies that followed.
That first movie and Bumblebee REALLY stand out as the best for me too. They were just great.
Man why rank the transformers movies from worst to best like dude I love them all equally because I grew up with them all.

Oh for sure. ROTF was dogshit outside of two or three fight scenes.
It’s a pick your poison tbh. AOE doesn’t have the racist bullshit and random godawful scenes that ROTF has, but it also has completely unlikeable characters, a somehow even worse Optimus than the one from DOTM, and it has that weird ass p*do card.
AOE is my Favorite One.

While watching this, it feels like a tribute of all films combine into one trailer.

Transfomers 1,2, and 3 will always be the best. Linkin Park, Michael Bay, and my childhood
Observation: These movies go in order from last to first (with the exception of TF2 and Bumblebee). It’s almost like they made movies that didn’t need to exist, and the product suffered. I wish the franchise would hard reboot into actual MCU-like universe, but it gets treated like Transformers Prime (and other cartoons like Animated and Armada) to tell a multifaceted story with an overarching plot. It would give the franchise more room to breathe and actually explore their characters instead of just mindlessly killing (also, Michael Bay wouldn’t be involved). I want the general public to realize that Transformers has more to offer than what Michael Bay has given us. Let’s see Metroplex, Velocitron, Bruticus, (a good version of) Grimlock, and the minicons. Transformers lore isn’t something to scoff at, and the comics have so much more to say about their world; I wish the movies would base themselves off of the comics, then maybe they’d be good.
On the other hand though, TF5 is my favorite Transformers movie (aside from Bumblebee) and I don’t know why. It has like zero redeeming qualities.

1 no humans around
2 new designs
3 new cybertronians
4 finally a stronger opponent than optimus
5 new humans protagonists that are braver than Sam

Imo 1 and 3 are great. 2 is underrated. 4 is terrible and 5 is an insult to cinema. The Last Knight is genuinely one of the worst blockbusters I’ve ever seen.

The only reason why AOE is better then TLK is only because we got to see primes design in invasion mode looking very similar to transformers 1 , 2 and 3, (except for his truck it was different in AOE) before turning into this goofy ahh BULLSHIT LATER IN THE MOVIE
AOE had a more cohesive story (still a mess but miles better then TLK), more action, the Autobot cast were better in this movie, the Dinobots despite their late entry did a decent job (meanwhile TLK made Grimlock a puppy, showed baby dinobots, mad Grimlock and Slug had small bits of action then completely disappeared for the rest of the film). Also Lockdown alone was freakin awesome, a well written and badass villain, him alone makes AOE way better. Sure AOE has some major flaws but at least it’s still solid.
@@LingeringWontexactly, but not only that they had to kill lockdown we didn’t even know much about in the movie, it seems unfair, but the fight scenes were very impressive in the beginning, and TLK’s fights were just not impressive as much as the last one the nemesis prime’s design didn’t seem to fit because of how much it looks similar they didn’t even try to make it different, I’d have to say the original nemesis prime is better then Bayverse Nemesis prime.

Nah, that’s cap. Most say Dark of the Moon is the best out of all 5. They brought in a lot Autobots and Decepticons for this movie until Age Of Extinction made the Bayverse feel like it wasn’t the same anymore with Ratchet, Sideswipe, Leadfoot, and possibly Dino just all dying angered the fans.

I know ratchet died but still, Optimus have evasion mode and knight form. And in D.O.T.M. Optimus have *Abbs*. He is Optimus prime; not a guy who goes to gym. 😃❤️
