Burke was so nasty as a freshmen in coverage, surprised to see him fall off so much. Hope he can get it together for this last stretch, love the guy to death.
Is it a coincidence that the guy who twisted Smith’s foot was the same guy who drove him out of bounds earlier in the game and the ref came over to separate them? #6 Fitzgerald
What Denzel has to do is be sat on the bench. He’s not Buckeye starting caliber, let’s quit the games. But if he has to be out there then good lord make a single play on the ball. I have yet to seen him attempt to turn his head and make a play on the ball. His footwork isn’t great and he’s slow. He gets beat at the line of scrimmage with physicality and down the field with speed. It’s a massive Achilles heel
It's not as simple as just saying "move CJ Hicks to edge and unleash him", unless you accept that CJ's role will be limited to obvious 'yards to gain' passing downs when the offense knows what's coming. Hicks can't be an every down edge because he's a HUGE liability against the run. He will get swallowed up a decent tackle or TE on run plays, then people will once again be down Knowles throat like he's clueless. Hicks still needs massive improvement with his aggressiveness and instincts if he expects to see more than a few specialized reps per game. Honestly, I'd think Arvel Reese would be the perfect Jack. He's aggressive, fast, has the size to hold up as a traditional DE and most importantly, the move opens up more chance for Gabe Powers to also be on the field. Arvel (Jack), Gabe (MLB), Sonny (Will) and Lorenzo (Nickel) would be a better maximization of our personnel than trying to find reps for Hicks just because the light bulb hasn't gone off at LB after 3+ years. Heck, Sonny has never played LB before, but he's worked his way to be a starter for the #1 D in the country. Hicks has no excuses, he's gotta want it.
Burke and Igbinosun make me equally nervous. One gets flagged all the time, one gets burnt all the time. You literally have to hold your breath every time a QB drops back.
Coming into the year I never would've guessed our CBs would be a weakness. I think going against Marv and now JJ (Bigger body WRs) they seem to have trouble dealing with short-shifting WRs. Oregon WR is probably 510 180 lbs soaking wet with change in his pocket. Even Oregon CBs are smaller in size. Burke and IGB better get things going and play better for sure
We can live in a world where Chip Kelly knows more than him about football while he makes an accurate observation. I have also noticed the pattern AND Chip Kelly knows more than I ever will. Have you ever read a comment section?
@mortiz7051 Listen Captain Save-A-Bro, what exactly is Chip Kelly supposed to do when on 3 and long the defense is dropping 8 with a spy on the QB and sitting on the sticks, like NW was constantly doing? You expect Will Howard to just throw it at whoever is past the sticks and wish for the best, because we all know how forgiving the "comments section" is with mistakes.🙄 I get it can be frustrating when your expectations of perfection don't materialize, but there's another team on the other line of scrimmage with scholarship players and paid coaches too. It's football, you are going to lose some reps. And I could honestly care less if the sight of a failed 3rd down causes you to chug Bud Lights at your flat screen, but lets not act like Kelly is clueless. It's real easy when you're pointing fingers from a couch and with no accountability.
@@BulletProofSoul1029 You’re a grumpy little guy, aren’t you? Not “Captain Save-A-Bro” just Captain “Point-Out-The-A-Hole”. He made a good point, you responded like a child, and now your feelings are hurt after being called out. Not very bullet proof like. You'll grow from this, I believe in you.
@mortiz7051 What point? That Ohio State isn't perfect on 3rd and long? What team is? Furthermore, the team is #1 in red zone efficiency and a top 10 scoring offense, so what exactly are you guys crying about again? Ohh that's right, Chip Kelly, on occasion, doesn't throw the ball past the yard marker on 3rd and long; when the defense has schemed a play that all but makes a successful outcome impossible.🤦🏿 Man, if the other team only got your memo to lay down.🙄 Also, I graduated from OSU in the mid '90s and have spent a ton of money supporting the team in travel, games, donations, tailgates etc. I will NEVER be ashamed of my faith and confidence in those kids who bust their a*s each year in the name of OSU. Declining to join in on a misery brotherhood who thinks any imperfect play or decisions means coaching incompetence, or a player sucks, does not make one "grumpy". Now that doesn't mean anyone is beyond criticism or being held accountable, but at least know what you're talking about. So again, if you think it's so easy, what play would you suggest Kelly run that would be successful on 3rd and long when the defense is dropping 8 with a focus on protecting the sticks? Do you have an alternative, or are you just complaining to complain?
We need to play our best game from Saturday onward awesome coverage as always thanks guys GO BUCKEYES!❤
Thanks, fellas. Go BUCKS! 🅾🌰🏈

IU's strength, the back shoulder fade, plays right into OSU's weakness, its CBs.
Exactly birm
Burke played great as a freshman, had a awful sophomore year. Bounced back and had a great Jr season and now slumping again. What a roller-coaster
Jack Sawyer really needs to stop getting pushed wide on nearly every play.
Thanks guys🎉GO BUCKS😤💯
I'm not worried about IGB it's Burke for me. In coverage, he grades out very low this season.
Is it a coincidence that the guy who twisted Smith’s foot was the same guy who drove him out of bounds earlier in the game and the ref came over to separate them? #6 Fitzgerald
Where there is a Will(Howard), there is a win. Tiger mentality. Go bucks!
Lets go get it, boys! #GoBucks

Let's just hope Denzel Burnt can play well.
Go bucks

Yeah IU Qb gonna expose Burke for sure igbinosun will get PI but also might get a int who knows

Your over exaggerating burk does get beat but not burnt a lot of the catches they make on him are tough just relax
I LOVE when it’s 3rd & 8 and Chip Kelly has OSU WR’s running 5-6 yard patterns - THAT is a problem ‼️ - all year - pass the ball to line to gain‼️
It's incredible how an incompetent dude like Chip Kelly has made it this far in coaching without your astute input...🙄
