Hi Kristine. I recently baught the hobie lynx and I'm getting it all rigged up to eventually fish kayak tournaments. I like watching your content bc it teaches me what kayak tournaments are all about and gives me something to look forward to.
even though this is my 1st time seeing your content , im glad i did see your content , because i could learn so much from watching you and Randy Blaukat and Scott Martin on youtube then i ever could learn in a actual high school or college class room about the sport of fishing. Thanks for the time you spend in making your content.

They canceled a tournament for harris with bass boats and you guys are going to still fish all I can say is that shows kayak fishing is a helluva thing awesome!!! So glad you did well!!!

Right on Kristine, That catfish reminded me of a tournament on the trent river years ago here in North Carolina. We were fishing as teams. I was co-angler on Jim levinsons boat. I always fished a little harder when I fished with Jim. He was very good and competitive. You know I often tease you saying you should have been throwing a bronze fat rap. Well I was, and I was putting bass in the well. Jim was funny about his boat and what other guys thought of it. All the best... it was fun to fish on such a well-equipped platform as that. I was pulling some respectable hogs from the submerged cypress knees and hung into a monster. When I rolled it on top finally, it was a fat blue cat. Turned out to be 18 pounds. Well...Jim wasn't going to let that thing rest in his boat. After a short debate, Jim agreed to take it to some old folks fishing from a wooden skiff not far from where we were. I was all proud of myself and when I asked the ole boy if he wanted my catfish, he said " just toss it in with the others..." he lifted the lid on the long live well on the side of his skiff and I saw catfish in there twice the size of mine. It humbled me and also made me appreciate simple fun and fishing. I am not sure Jim has ever told the story while smiling... He was a very aggressive and talented bass angler. I learned a few things every time I shared a boat with him. That tournament, we took second and cashed a nice check. Good memories. I sure enjoy your adventures too. thanks Kristine, George. @@kristinefischer2289 Yep, its fun having a head full of those to offset the bummers in life. I choose to keep making good memories. Tomorrow is Groundhog day. I always take that day and go fishing. I am up near Cashiers North Carolina and will be fishing Glenville lake. Ice in the shady coves... I will slow roll a heavy spinnerbait along the rip rap at the dam, vertical jig some deep structure and troll for some huge brown trout that dominate the lake in the winter months. I might talk a walleye into having dinner with me too. Irish coffee in the thermos is a real possibility. Smiling, George.

How is it running the doul 10" garmins on front? Definitely an awesome yak set up but that's nothing new for you. Your rigs are always awesome. I'm still saving for my electronics for my pa12 360. So far I'm still planning on solix10 with mega 360

I'm in southern SC area Clarks Hill Russell Hartwell & Savannah river. If you had to choose just on maps quality & accuracy only which do you think is better??

How do you like the fish finder position and have you found it easy to change settings where you have it? What was your thinking getting a torqueedo over a motorguide with "spot lock" or is it sponsorship related? I'm torn between both motors. Thanks 😊

This is crazy asf lmao like fishin in a dam hurricane wind howling with sun I cant believe how many bites you got but the fish dont care about wind in FL ive had some killer days blowing 25.
What conditions do they reschedule tourneys? High winds can be dangerous. I’ve known them to reschedule when 12-15 mph winds, white caps are usually 12 -15. And of course anything stronger is white caps!
Kristine, you Kayak fish in tournaments all over the place. What about trying your hand at pro bass fishing? I'm sure you would get sponsors. You're one hell of an angler!

@@kristinefischer2289 Well I have thrown a thousand dollar setup into the water once and it didn't have a float on it. Since I have nerve damage in both my hands, they will just open when they feel like it and that happened with me and my STEEZ setup. Thank goodness it floated on its own and I was able to retrieve it. I lost a full setup in Alaska this year when my hand opened up with a nice salmon in the river. For the rest of the week that poor fish was towing it up and down the river and never was able to get above us to spawn.

I had a backlash or two that day... it was brutal. 1/2 oz lipless though, so that weight helped getting that casting distance
