- Watch a wooden made prop similar to the classic Tenyo Super Spike trick. Performance is shown, then the secret is revealed, and finally I show you how to make your own magic prop for this great magic trick from scraps of wood. The principle behind pushing something thru a solid object is not new, I have worked out how I would achieve thie effect, I have never owned a Tenyo trick so if my method works the same as any other similar effect then "great minds think alike" , Hope you enjoy!

I saw this video years ago when i was a kid and i made it with my dad, i was obsessed with magic and prop making back then, it was very nice seeing it again and it brought me tears i miss those days so much.. thank you for making this video!
Gosh i wish I had the tools and experience to make one of these. Would you ever consider making one for sale? If so, I would TOTALLY be interested. This is such a beautiful piece.
very interesting trick, and the prop itself makes it very interesting. nice video, and very good explanation, well done! :)
this is truly awesome, thx for sharing...
Genius idea!!!!
I think I read somewhere the locks slants the inside figure and so exposes all the holes.
cool !!
thanks.....
Che meraviglia
can u make a mystery of the high hat?
yes
Now I get it -- Magiro's Coin and Bolt is similar to Super Spike but works differently. The trick shows in this video, however, works exactly the same as Super Spike.
Good tutorial... although I would have used a router to cut the slot to save having to glue the ends back on :)
yes your right. I should have used a router. Was hoping I'd get away with gluing end on without noticing the join.. didn't work though!
did you ever locate the plans for this? thanks.
I never did find the plans, but had to make another one for myself, so just done guesswork on sizes. It appears to work ok.
@cormatches Did I say it used the same principle as Tenyo!!! No!!!!
Can't you perform this without so much tilting of the device? If I'm not mistaken I believe you only have to turn it over once and you can then do the entire performance by simply apparently pushing the ooin right through.
yes I think you are right. If I remember back then, I probably wanted to show both sides for the camera, however, in the real world I wouldn't have turned it over as often.
@@totallymagic Thanks for taking my comment in the spirit it was given.
The Magiro trick uses a complete different principle than the Tenyo one.
do you have plans for this?
I Did somewhere, I'll see if I can locate them.
Ma potresti venderlo?
非常に美しいと思います!Good!!(^o^)/
I made mine out of wood too
This is exactly how Super Spike works!
well not the same method of course
About what? I have Super Spike and know how it works.
