I hope you are still producing these videos. I mentioned about ten months ago that I was going to try to design a fairly fool proof method to insure my kayak couldn’t sink and better yet; ride high even I’d flooded. A paddler can actually climb back in his SOT even though it’s totally swamped and filled with water; inside and out. If you recall I said I was going to test confined balloons and stuff them in every space not needed for cargo. I purchased three net type laundry bags at dollar tree and doubled stitched a seam longitudinally down the center then cut the two halves apart I cut the draw string accordingly so each bag has a draw string. I filled each bag with approximately 7 or 8 balloons only partially filled and tied off. By only filling them partially I can stuff more into smaller spaces and obviously more into the bag thus ensuring the majority survive excessive expansion in the heated interior of a kayak by using several balloons they/may contract do to cold temperatures but one or two ruptures your kayak will still float due to the trapped air cells. I’m writing now because it’s been 9 months since installing my balloons and only one was completely empty the rest had about equal volume of air which combined cold lift 45 pounds meaning; after 9 months my kayak will still float if fully loaded and I were inside especially if I needed it for protection from predator fish. I could then deploy my hand pump and evacuate the water. I’m now testing a battery operated fluid pump used to pump oil and or hydraulic fluids. I tested it and replaced the discharge hose with a small vacuum hose and it works great. I sealed the battery compartment of the pump and will test it maybe this weekend. If it works as expected I will mount the pump in permanently with bilge flapper ports and a float activation system so I can kayak in the heavies of seas and stay afloat or as long as the batteries last. The kayak still can’t sink and still rides high so a manual pump can be used. I intend on taking my kayak through some very turbid outlets on the Gulf of Mexico. So; I told you I’d let you know how the balloons work. I’d say perfect.👍
Thanks for the update! That is more work than I want to undertake given the low probability of having a problem in the 1 - 5 foot deep water where I fish. But, those who go offshore should implement you approach!
Sure. I got it at Best Buy. I just looked. They do not sell it any longer. I see something similar at Walmart - www.walmart.com/ip/Price-EACH-re-fuel-RF-STB10-Action-Camera-Stabilizer/146447426?wmlspartner=wmtlabs&adid=22222222222071926376&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=e&wl1=s&wl2=c&wl3=17606578360&wl4=pla-4577954137278607&wl5=&wl6=&wl7=&%20wl10=Walmart&wl12=146447426_10000004887&wl14=re-fuel%20camera%20stabilizer&veh=sem&msclkid=e06fdb5289d71a19781ebb04a5cebfa1
hello sir, so listening to youtubers, they say that the youtube algorithm like videos to be 8 mins or longer... on another note.. cant wait to get me a kayak and get on some DIY kayak stuff! thanks for the information you put out.
lol! The length depends on the video. The original of this was 18 minutes and folks only watched for 7 on average. That's about as much as they could take in one sitting. So, I decided to break it apart and see how it goes.

Great video but you didn't have your rod in the first holder the right way which is why it was so far back.
Yes, I was not paying attention to it - that was the rod holder I did not like. Thanks for pointing that out
Sir, in one of your videos you showed a stabilizer for you GO PRO CAMERA. Can you tell me where you got it please? Thanks!

Let's see some videos of you fishing!

Thank you but you must be seriously bored.
Yep
