Without spoiling the whole plot too much and more the idea behind this video: The show Helluva Boss is about demons living in Hell. Stolas (the character in the video) is one of them and he's royalty, the prince of astronomy (hence the whole celestial theme). He and Blitzo (the other demon he's trying to reach) have a transactional deal going. Sexual pleasure once a month during the full moon in exchange for a magical artifact that can grant you access to the living world aka earth. Blitzo is an imp, the lowest species in hell. He runs a business with services that require the use of said artifact which is a book, the Grimoire. That's his meal ticket. However, Stolas has started to gain feelings for Blitzo, who is a very closed off person and won't let anyone love him. It doesn't help that they differ in class so much. Stolas has his own issues as a high ranked prince and feels he has used Blitzo selfishly as a means to an end. It's indeed a love story, but between two very conflicted, complex characters. Anyway, there's a lot more to the whole story but you really have to watch the show to fully understand. But I hope this helps a little ;) I love your enthusiasm by the way. This is indeed such a beautiful song and the VA Bryce Pinkham has an amazing vocal range. It's nice to see that even people who don't watch the show can be moved by his voice and the visuals.
I enjoy bruce as the singers more i also enjoy the slight change from the original music. It is the same song just perfected and alot more emotion put into the vocals. The way his voice breaks down when hes says im terrified was gorgeous and impactful.
It is a powerful song and Bryce Pinkham delivers it spectacularly. To sum it up, it’s an “if you love them, let them go” song. Stolas wants to believe that his love for Blitz, a very closed off and emotionally damaged individual, is reciprocated; but he’s realised that the relationship that they have right then isn’t healthy and isn’t fair on his partner, so he’s praying that Blitz will choose to stay with him once their deal is called off, instead of being forced into their relationship. The fear that Blitz will just leave him once the deal is over is heartbreaking.
Please watch Helluva Boss! This character is Stolas and he has a few songs. Each one is very beautifully sung 💕 but don't watch the show around kids. Lol
@@AidenKyntrell If this is your first taste of Hasbin/Helluva, I reccomend starting with Episode 2, then going back to episode 1 after you've been introduced to the rest of the cast. Stolas, the singer of this song, is barely in episode 1, so going straight from this song to other people doing other things might be just a BIT jarring.
