You should try using a post-it note as a mask for panels. You can cut (2 or 3 or more) small squares, rectangles, etc. Then use your airbrush to create panels varying the intensity and opaqueness (I hope I said that right, lol) You can also quick mask some sections with frisket (film or liquid) and a hobby knife or just use the post-it note with the appropriate mask cut out. Keep up the good work! I really enjoy your videos and look forward to seeing many more.
An eleven year old video for A Billion Suns, a game that at the time of this writing in March 2021 hasn't actually reached the shelves of many game stores. And it's a showing off minis from Zandris IV, a company that ended sales in late 2020 pending its figure range moving to a new manufacturer/owner. Simultaneously prescient and behind the times. Remarkable. There isn't a suspiciously anachronistic police call box sitting out front of your house by any chance, is there? :)
@@RottenMechGaming Really, really early. Had Hutchinson even graduated from high school eleven years ago? Must be close, he doesn't look much past thirty. :)

personally i would under coat them the colour i wanted then give it a dark wash, then dry brush the whole thing and just highlight after that way quicker ^^
Great videos! I was wondering if you plan on doing any more vids on sci-fi ships? Maybe you have some suggestions where i can find some decent stuff, my local hobby stores ...umm..suck. Thye have the big name model lines but I'm interested in finding new models. Anything that looks good to paint no matter the gaming system. Hope you make some new vids soon! Thanks for your work!
Just a comment for the algorithm
I always appreciate those! Cheers :)

Thanks for the comment. I have just uploaded another painting guide for Ninja Magic starships.
I think I have the Space Patrol books! I got them as a kid and they're still on my bookshelf somewhere...
Classic old books. :)
Very nice, I love the paneling! Thanks for the inspiration!
Glad you like it! Its been a while since i produced this video and I now mostly airbrush but there is still a space for panel work.

That would be cool. I haven't put up any of mine on the net. But seeing btech stuff is nice.
great video!!!! I love the panels, I'm totally stealing that technique.
THANKS AGAIN!
i use them on my battletech miniatures they work great. The models look sweet.
Yes please steal and use it! Let me know how you get on. Robin
Thanks for the comment, the p3 paints are great to use and come in a dark shade and highlight, so it is easy to pick a color combo.
Cool another Btech player! I have hundreds of Mechs :) . I will have to share some details.
Thanks for the kind comment. Another video just uploaded with a painting guide for NinjaMagic ships.
