    Thanks, I will be showing my partner Sue the sweet potato harvest as she has been trying to get them established here. Cheers

    I see all those beautiful vines going to waste and wondered if you knew.
    Sweet potato greens are the edible leaves of the sweet potato vine. Though widely eaten throughout Asia & Africa, they are less well known to most of us in the U.S. The good news is they're edible and delicious, high in Vitamin C and B6, and they thrive in the summer heat, unlike all the other leafy greens we crave.

      Thank you for your comment. I didn’t know that. Rest assured, they didn’t go to waste, our cattle out them.

      Thanks very much. It’s great to be able to feed ourselves with produce that’s easy to grow. I hope you are able to do the same #foodSecurity

    You being in subtropical climate when do you start your seedlings for your tomatoes I know to grow during winter just not a start time,I enjoy your videos thanks for making them

      Hi David,
      I actually don’t plant any tomatoes. They all naturally grow when and where they want. I’ve just posted some other examples of this on my Facebook. Feel free to join me under my same channel name. I do sometimes transplant into the main garden from other areas. Thanks also for your feedback. Feel free to share to your friends and family. :-)

    Nice video! Thank you for sharing. Could you please tell me the size of the sweetpotato bed so I can estimate what I can roughly expect from my garden as I plan it out?

    • @queenslandfarmer
      @queenslandfarmer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi and thanks for your question. The garden bed is about 10 square meters (107 square feet). Best of luck with your planting.

      @@queenslandfarmer Thank you for your quick reply. That is an amazing harvest. I agree with you that sweet potato is an easy way to get food security. Please keep posting more videos. Cheers.

    How many slips did you plant?

    • @queenslandfarmer
      @queenslandfarmer  ปีที่แล้ว

      We didn’t actually plant any. These have been self propagating since we bought the place 3 years ago. We got a similar yield last year.
