I live on Mt Penn, he’s absolutely correct, the whole mountain is a maze. Be prepared to pedal no matter where you go and almost every trail is a little rocky. If you have multiple bikes more travel is better but there’s a little bit of everything on Mt Penn from some XC, to flow, to technical rocks and skinny’s, to downhill…BAMBA does a great job maintaining our trails on Mt Penn, Neversink, and Blue Marsh. If flow and XC and flow are your thing then Blue Marsh is for you.
Mt. Penn is pretty rough to navigate. I live in the area and love the trails there but I hardly ever go there because I find myself checking my phone constantly when I'm not riding the main trails. The best trailheads to park at (in my opinion) are at Antietam Lake where you'll start at the bottom and climb to the top or at the BAMBA Lot on List Road which is 3/4 of the way up. I tend to park at the lake so I end the day on a nice long downhill.
We will get together this year. Let's go!
100%

I wouldn't mind trying it but it's not as good as the trexler national preserve trails
It's definitely more rocky and chunky than trexler
