I guess there's only two rational ways to explain some of these brand discrepancies with real life ones: 1: They messed up 2: In the GTA universe, these fictional brands actually either collaborated with each other, or bought/sold out their companies to one another over time

For the landstalker, it makes sense it evolved into a Lincoln because in GTA Liberty city stories the landstalker became more like the GTA 5 version but an older model (1998)
Talking about Sabre, Sabre GT/Turbo in HD Universe is the car that retained 3D Universe’s Sabre look, while IV Sabre became MkIV Monte Carlo. Also, Stinger in GTA 3 best resembles Porsche Boxster rather than Toyota MR2 imho, due to more elongated front.

I don't think it's fair to compare 3D to HD universes considering in GTA IV and afterwards R* takes lore and brands more seriously than 3D, so there's almost no similar to VC Banshee goofy mistakes in 5 for example. That's why Coquette is now it's own thing and something like Benson is International Truck because you would see them more frequently irl compared to old Ford trucks (and also because it's different universe, duh)
All those cars should exist in the same game without switching games, they should also be performance tuned not just bolt ons but actually making cars tunable Rv has potential for save state anywhere in game you leave rv parked with player in it game saves in that spot no traveling across the map to get to the safe house, if you know how to drive the rv you always have a safe spot near by, if you wreck the rv then you need to travel to the nearest safe house, ideally would only benefit those who are cautious in driving in game

Yes, Rockstar's vehicle names are very messed up. Like why the hell do multiple generations Impala have different names? For example: - Voodoo as early 1960's Impala - Impaler as late 1960's Impala - Impaler LX as 1980's Impala - Impaler SZ as 1990's Impala - Merit as 2000's Impala The worst example is Dinka Jester being a second gen NSX and Dinka Jester Classic being a MkIV Supra, even worst the newer Supra based is Dinka Jester RR.

the huntley from gta iv (hd universe) is a range rover sport while the huntley from gta v (hd universe too) is a bentley, the lore is broken between the same universes.
@@ho_lee_fuk. probably because they have two different manufacturers. The one from GTA IV is Huntley Sport made by Vapid, while car from GTA V is Huntley S made by Enus. But yeah, it strange that they have almost identical names.
My top 3 most annoying lore breaking cars in GTA (specifically GTA 5/Online): 1. If the Dinka Jester is a Honda NSX, then why is the Jester Classic a Mk4 Supra? I know the Jester was a Supra in San Andreas, but after establishing it to be an NSX in the Business Update of GTA Online, the Jester Classic should've been an original 90's NSX, and the Supra should've been added under a different name, and made by Karin (Toyota) not Dinka (Honda). 2. The Euros added in the Tuners Update is a 370Z. Now, we've just had the Euros X32 added in Bottom Dollar Bounties Update, which is a 300ZX. If the Z32 & Z34 are both Euros (as they should be), then why is the 350Z (Z33) called the ZR-380? The 350Z should also be a Euros, since it's part of the same Fairlady Z series. This also in turn messes up the lore with the ZR-350 (RX-7), since their names are now related. If anything, the "ZR-380" should be an RX-8. 3. The Karin S95 being one of the fastest vehicles in the game. A Toyota GT86 keeping up with a Bugatti? Really?...
If we remove our world from GTA, then there isn't really an issue. Since GTA is it's own world with it's own cars inspired by one or more cars in our world on a single model, they can do whatever they wish with them. Mixing real world brands or changing vehicle body styles entirely under the same name is totally normal in the GTA universe. It is cool to see how things change in the games over the years though! 👍
Always disliked this inconsistency between the cars from each game. I wish they kept 1 car for all the car names instead of multiple cars. The BF Injection change in V is one of the most clear examples. It was always known as a buggy ever since GTA III first launched, but in V they said _"it's not the iconic BF Injection anymore, it's something else now!"_ 🖕🤪
GTA 3's Infernus is heavily based on Vector M12 not a Lamborghini, also GTA 3's Stinger is a fictional Porsche Boxster. GTA SA's Uranus is Dodge Stealth

In my opinion, the GTA 5 flatbed kinda similar to Mack granite flatbed, as the cab is based on Mack trucks design, and also judging from the manufacturer, and GTA wiki page on MTL, the GTA 5 flatbed is based on Mack trucks design. Also, the GTA 4 packer design is also had similarities with Mack trucks cruise-liner, as Mack trucks cruise-liner is also a cabover and has a similar square shaped radiator grille, not only based on Kenworth k-100 (main body) 2000's freightliner COE, but also Mack cruise-liner.
If you want to go real back, you can discuss the Impaler, GTA 1's Impaler has 1967 Impala SS Fastback inspiration. GTA Online brought this back alongside it's 1967 Impala similarities. However there is major issues with the Declasse Merit from GTA IV, which is meant to be a stand in for the 2000-2005 Chevrolet Impala in itself. Of course, the Impaler LX (1980-1985 Impala) and the Impaler SZ (1994-1996 Impala SS) also bring in complications as well, particularly the Impaler SZ and the San Andreas Premier. And don't forget the Stallion originally bearing 1967-1969 Chevrolet Camaro similarities, only for it to become a Oldsmobile Cutlass/4-4-2 in every game since, and the Vigero would take the role of the Camaro. And the GTA 1 F-19 (Ferrari F40), returning into GTA Online as the Turismo Classic. And the Counthash (Lamborghini Diablo), being renamed the Infernus and Infernus Classic. I'm going back to the 2-D era.
There are mods for GTA IV and V that are analogous to some 3D universe cars 3D Admiral: Benefector Admiral Classic (Should be Schafter Classic) 3D Alpha: Bravado Recursion VC Banshee: Invetero Coquette Vice 3D Benson: Vapid Benson Classic 3D Bobcat: Vapid Contender Classic SA Buffalo: Declasse Vigero Rumbler SA Flash: Dinka Flash (Should be Blista Kanjo Retro) 3D Greenwood: Schyster Greenwood (Should be Libertonian or something like that) SA Infernus: Dinka Nexus 3D Kuruma: Schyster Murray 3D Manana: Schyster Newark III Stinger: Pfister Apollo VC Stinger: Grotti Stinger SC It would be really cool if you make a video showing HD universe vehicles analogous to 3D universe vehicles, either if the HD vehicles are original or mods

2:20 the Bobcat I think the Wikia is kinda screwy on the identifier claiming the HD universe is a Chevy CK series. in GTA4 the only part of it thats accurate to the CK is the front bumper and grille. everything else is based off of the 80s Dodge D100 club cab. and in GTA5 the Wikia does state its a CK 3500 dually but it really doesnt look close honestly. It looks more similar to an early 90s F350 xtra cab dually, preferably the '92 version and with 4:37 GTA3 the Infernus is actually a Jaguar XJR-15 not a Lambo

Very nice vid if it's original, I know I was so confused as a kid by this, especially the sports cars. Because honestly, they are the ones you care most about, and yet the naming make no damn sense. Like, the Stinger used to be my fav GTA3 car (and for me it's more a Porsche Boxster than a MR2), then it becomes a low-tier Ferrari in VC, and in GTA5 it becomes this collector high perf car. ???
Camper and Flatbed could (in a way) be consider to be not breaking the lore.....If we treat the name as the type of trim , instead of model. (SA camper can be the Surfer "camper" (Like IRL VW T1 "Westfalia") by lore , and all "flatbed" type truck (from any make and model) are referred as just flatbed.)
To everyone saying 3D and HD are different universes, no they aren't. Rockstar games lied about this thing, mainly due to the voice actor conflict. It has nothing to do with GTA lore, just to make an excuse for why old characters can't be brought back. In fact, all GTA are in the same universe and many evidences back this. Rockstar games haven't even talked about the universes thing in years as if it doesn't exist, so move on dear fans!
Gta3 Infernus is more based on the Vector M12 just by the body style alone. Vice City made the infernus Lamborghini, that being the Countach, since it was set in the 80s Whats weird to me is in gta5 they made the “Infernus classic” the Diablo which was the 90s and the 80s Countach they called the Torero. I feel like the names should be swapped, it just bothers me.
Flatbed is a generic term for a type of vehicle, not a specific vehicle. Any vehicle with a flat bed is a flatbed. The worst one is the Bravado Bison, a Dodge Ram, but it is classified as a van.
I truly hate and don't get how messed up or how Rockstar mixed up and messed up with all their cars and all the car names in their games tbh, in the 3D universe I understand because there's no definitive brand to associate any of them on, but when it comes to HD universe is a whole different ball game, in GTA4 it is understandable if they are starting fresh, but still some outliers there too tbh, but until it came to GTA5 and the first few dlcs or first few years of GTA Online dlc is all kinda messed up tbh, especially with cars and the car brands, I still don't what Zirconium meant to be based on because feel like that car brand and such feel like and afterthought or a dump bin for cars that don't fit anywhere, the same for the likes of Lampadati, Vulcar and such, just an afterthought, also the likes of Karin, Declasse and such have had some cars that don't fit anywhere or from different brands that aren't from the company that the in game car company are based on irl, just seems kinda messed up tbh, also there's the likes of Classique that Rockstar completely forgot or botched it up by making the Stallion that is an Oldsmobile Cutlass as a Declasse car when in fact the Oldsmobile in game is called Classique, very odd tbh, but yeah Also, theres also car names from the 3D universe are used for a completely different form of vehicle like the Vortex which as a hover car and now the name is used on a bike, also forgot that the name Blade was used on a boat in GTA4 before being used on a Ford Falcon, so yeah

Tbf to Rockstar, car companies IRL redesign cars all the time or straight up put old model names onto completely new, different designs (like what Mitsubishi did with Eclipse). Just because a real life car company used a model name a certain way, doesnt mean the in game car companies have to have used the model names in the same ways either.
San Andreas fumbled so bad with the infernus that I replaced the model with the more appropriate Infernus Classic (Lamborghini Diablo) from GTA Online.
Some of these make and model changes I can forgive since they are a bit similar and I can buy the evolution from one model to the other. Others, like the Camper/Surfer debacle, are absolutely unforgivable and Rockstar should be ashamed of themselves 😂

If you look at the taillights from the side, they match the design of a 10 or 20 Celsior (LS400). Not even 1% of Nissan or Infiniti elements are found.😂
7:20 tbh it reminds me more of a chevy express/gmc savana (the twin headlights version)
I guess there's only two rational ways to explain some of these brand discrepancies with real life ones:
1: They messed up
2: In the GTA universe, these fictional brands actually either collaborated with each other, or bought/sold out their companies to one another over time
For the landstalker, it makes sense it evolved into a Lincoln because in GTA Liberty city stories the landstalker became more like the GTA 5 version but an older model (1998)
I know that but the point of the video is to pick odd ones out.
Different universes
Talking about Sabre, Sabre GT/Turbo in HD Universe is the car that retained 3D Universe’s Sabre look, while IV Sabre became MkIV Monte Carlo.
Also, Stinger in GTA 3 best resembles Porsche Boxster rather than Toyota MR2 imho, due to more elongated front.
Awesome video, but please put fades on the end of Audio files for you next ones, the constant crackling is really annoying
There were like 300+ clips and applying fade to each & every one is too much because I didnt put it at the time I was placing them but I'll try to apply fade next time... thanks for feedback
I don't think it's fair to compare 3D to HD universes considering in GTA IV and afterwards R* takes lore and brands more seriously than 3D, so there's almost no similar to VC Banshee goofy mistakes in 5 for example.
That's why Coquette is now it's own thing and something like Benson is International Truck because you would see them more frequently irl compared to old Ford trucks (and also because it's different universe, duh)
except for the silly mistake that the huntley from gta iv is based on a range rover sport and the huntley from gta v is based on a bentley
For me, GTASA Uranus is 1:1 Subaru SVX, with a hints of eclipse.
All those cars should exist in the same game without switching games, they should also be performance tuned not just bolt ons but actually making cars tunable
Rv has potential for save state anywhere in game you leave rv parked with player in it game saves in that spot no traveling across the map to get to the safe house, if you know how to drive the rv you always have a safe spot near by, if you wreck the rv then you need to travel to the nearest safe house, ideally would only benefit those who are cautious in driving in game
5:53 also let's remember the Manana in GTA LCS was a Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 convertible, and it was pretty nice (IMHO, the best version of the Manana).
and 8:51 is the most beautiful car in the GTA series. Period.
Hmm...have to check LCS manana...IV Super GT is one of my favourite car too
@@SD1ONE don't bother it's an NB Miata
@@SD1ONELandstalked is also very different in LCS. What interesting is, in LCS Landstalker is also based on Lincoln Navigator, so Landstaker IS Lincoln in both 3D and HD Universe.
@@SD1ONE same with the perennial, in VCS and LCS it looks like some 70s car(also hearse looks like perennial)
The db9 is definitely a top 3 car design inarguably
Rockstar has said that gta 3d universe is separated from HD.
The 3D Manana is also a Mazda MX-5 Miata in Liberty City Stories I guess
you mean a Chevy Cavalier?
Gta games have 3 different universes thus 3 different lore not a single one for thing to follow it even so sometimes something need to be changed in order to make the latest game more realistic.
5:58 It is Cadillac Eldorado NOT Honda NSX.
Your content is good but put more time in research
The universes thing is a Rockstar lie, it has everything to do with voice actors rather than GTA lore or anything.
@4:37 The GTA 3 Infernus is actually based on the Vector M12
Thinking on it intruder was kinda a funny name for a American domestic automobile I own and drive a second generation mercury sable every day it’s what you would expect out of a run of the mill ford sedan but I think the name intruder fits a import car more than a American midsize sedan
it kind of resembles Japanese sedans too but that unique rear side window design is strong hint of mercury sable
In the bobcat happen something even worse, the GTA III bobcat was more like a Toyota Tacoma. I mean not even an American truck.
The HD Emperor is possibly a Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham
The Manana is a Buick LeSabre possibily Buick Centurion
TBH, GTA VC Banshee should be renamed to Coquette because it's based off Corvette C4.
In GTA Vice City Infernus it's a Lamborghini Countach, in San Andreas it's actually a Honda NSX, In HD this is Diablo, but in GTA online it is Torero, who looks more like Infernus from VC
I really hate how Rockstar messed up with car names so bad!
Some cars they messed up unnecessarily like Jester for example..
Yes, Rockstar's vehicle names are very messed up. Like why the hell do multiple generations Impala have different names? For example:
- Voodoo as early 1960's Impala
- Impaler as late 1960's Impala
- Impaler LX as 1980's Impala
- Impaler SZ as 1990's Impala
- Merit as 2000's Impala
The worst example is Dinka Jester being a second gen NSX and Dinka Jester Classic being a MkIV Supra, even worst the newer Supra based is Dinka Jester RR.
@@automation7295If we go based on the video format, the NSX Jester is the actual oddball
They didn't mess up shit, different universe and different nameplates.
@@gabrielmartines3510 I know they're different universes, but GTA Online was 3 Jester models, two of them should've been Karin and should've used a different name;
Dinka Jester - Based on the 2nd generation Honda NSX ✔
Dinka Jester Classic - Based on the 4th generation Toyota Supra. ❌
Dinka Jester RR - Based on the 5th generation Toyota Supra. ❌
6:00 Really classic NSX.😅
The 3D and HD Broadways are based on GM cars, same with Buccaneer, Sabre and Tahoma
The Greenwood is based on cars of the Chrysler Group
The GTA 3 is more like a Jaguar XJ220
The GTA 3 Stinger is a Porsche Boxster
Nothing of these breaks GTA Vehicle lore since you comparing vehicles from two different universes (3D universe to HD universe)
the huntley from gta iv (hd universe) is a range rover sport while the huntley from gta v (hd universe too) is a bentley, the lore is broken between the same universes.
@@ho_lee_fuk. probably because they have two different manufacturers. The one from GTA IV is Huntley Sport made by Vapid, while car from GTA V is Huntley S made by Enus. But yeah, it strange that they have almost identical names.
My top 3 most annoying lore breaking cars in GTA (specifically GTA 5/Online):
Really?...
Need part 2 bcuz its incomplete yet
Man 3D univers and HD univers are not in same time-line
Man that's a goddamn excuse.
Two different sanchez
(old)250cc twostroke
(new) 4stroke 400cc
I think the old sanchez is the endura dinka (honda)
If we remove our world from GTA, then there isn't really an issue. Since GTA is it's own world with it's own cars inspired by one or more cars in our world on a single model, they can do whatever they wish with them. Mixing real world brands or changing vehicle body styles entirely under the same name is totally normal in the GTA universe. It is cool to see how things change in the games over the years though! 👍
Always disliked this inconsistency between the cars from each game. I wish they kept 1 car for all the car names instead of multiple cars. The BF Injection change in V is one of the most clear examples. It was always known as a buggy ever since GTA III first launched, but in V they said _"it's not the iconic BF Injection anymore, it's something else now!"_ 🖕🤪
I feel like Marbelle from GTA 4 fits better for Greenwood.
The Blista is a Honda CRX, not a Civic.
GTA 3's Infernus is heavily based on Vector M12 not a Lamborghini, also GTA 3's Stinger is a fictional Porsche Boxster. GTA SA's Uranus is Dodge Stealth
3:46 pulSAR not pulSER
6:11 its FUSO not fuSU
9:17 thats a Ford sierra cosworth, not a foxbody
i feel like you need to take more time instead of shoving out incorrect misspelled messes
1:48 I think Blista Compact is a CRX and not a Civic
The CRX was actually a type of Civic but yeah, the proper name is CRX
The bobcat you said its an tacoma but you said its ford ranger 💀
It has hints of ford ranger but yes Tacoma is better match...but if I compared it with other Bobcats so I can assume its ford ranger.
There are mods for GTA IV and V that are analogous to some 3D universe cars
3D Admiral: Benefector Admiral Classic (Should be Schafter Classic)
3D Alpha: Bravado Recursion
VC Banshee: Invetero Coquette Vice
3D Benson: Vapid Benson Classic
3D Bobcat: Vapid Contender Classic
SA Buffalo: Declasse Vigero Rumbler
SA Flash: Dinka Flash (Should be Blista Kanjo Retro)
3D Greenwood: Schyster Greenwood (Should be Libertonian or something like that)
SA Infernus: Dinka Nexus
3D Kuruma: Schyster Murray
3D Manana: Schyster Newark
III Stinger: Pfister Apollo
VC Stinger: Grotti Stinger SC
It would be really cool if you make a video showing HD universe vehicles analogous to 3D universe vehicles, either if the HD vehicles are original or mods
In GTA V the Manana is more like a 78 Cadillac coupe Deville
I think Sanchez is a CRF 450 in V because its 4t
You missed my favorite, the mammoth patriot, but i like your videos, so i don't get mad 😂😂😂😂
Patriot was always based on Hummer Lineup...so I don't see what's wrong there.
@@SD1ONE they changed the H1 military based from 3d, to H2 in HD, to all at the same time (H2 as patriot, H1 as mil-spec) and a strange mix of both in one car (squaddie)
I know but it's still based on Hummer... There're so many vehicles that evolved & replaced with their newer models...This video is about vehicles that are unlinked with their past 3D forms.
@@SD1ONE then i didn't understood the video at first sight
2:20 the Bobcat I think the Wikia is kinda screwy on the identifier claiming the HD universe is a Chevy CK series. in GTA4 the only part of it thats accurate to the CK is the front bumper and grille. everything else is based off of the 80s Dodge D100 club cab. and in GTA5 the Wikia does state its a CK 3500 dually but it really doesnt look close honestly. It looks more similar to an early 90s F350 xtra cab dually, preferably the '92 version
and with 4:37 GTA3 the Infernus is actually a Jaguar XJR-15 not a Lambo
Aunque sean diferentes universos, me parece incómodo que haya corvettes con diferente nombre en los gta...
-Phobos VT (lcs)
-Banshee (vc)
-Coquette (hd)
I always wondered why they never went with the Lamborghini Diablo for the Infernus in GTA San Andreas.
Vice City made the infernus Lamborghini, that being the Countach, since it was set in the 80s
Whats weird to me is in gta5 they made the “Infernus classic” the Diablo which was the 90s and the 80s Countach they called the Torero.
Yes, I avoided such vehicles which are named on generic terms like Barracks, Police, Cabbie, etc...somehow Flatbed is left in video.
I truly hate and don't get how messed up or how Rockstar mixed up and messed up with all their cars and all the car names in their games tbh, in the 3D universe I understand because there's no definitive brand to associate any of them on, but when it comes to HD universe is a whole different ball game, in GTA4 it is understandable if they are starting fresh, but still some outliers there too tbh, but until it came to GTA5 and the first few dlcs or first few years of GTA Online dlc is all kinda messed up tbh, especially with cars and the car brands, I still don't what Zirconium meant to be based on because feel like that car brand and such feel like and afterthought or a dump bin for cars that don't fit anywhere, the same for the likes of Lampadati, Vulcar and such, just an afterthought, also the likes of Karin, Declasse and such have had some cars that don't fit anywhere or from different brands that aren't from the company that the in game car company are based on irl, just seems kinda messed up tbh, also there's the likes of Classique that Rockstar completely forgot or botched it up by making the Stallion that is an Oldsmobile Cutlass as a Declasse car when in fact the Oldsmobile in game is called Classique, very odd tbh, but yeah
Also, theres also car names from the 3D universe are used for a completely different form of vehicle like the Vortex which as a hover car and now the name is used on a bike, also forgot that the name Blade was used on a boat in GTA4 before being used on a Ford Falcon, so yeah
Don't forget the ZR350 (Mazda RX7) then became ZR380 (Nissan 370Z) but then 350Z became Euros which was 300ZX in SA and ZR350 became RX7 again.
Rhino tank
GTA3, VC, LCS, VCS are Predator* tank from Warhammer 40:000
*Bassed on Armored transport carrier olso called Rhino
But in SA, V are M1 Abrams
Gta V Kuruma just doesn’t feel the same as the 3D era one, I wish it looked similar to the original one. the FBI variant was one of my favorite 3D era cars. Original look in GtaV armored up would’ve been..👌
What lore are you talking about if we have at least two univers in GTA series: 3D and HD?))
Now developers can do anything and not look back on games before GTA IV.
San Andreas Intruder is a Subaru Legacy.
Some of these make and model changes I can forgive since they are a bit similar and I can buy the evolution from one model to the other. Others, like the Camper/Surfer debacle, are absolutely unforgivable and Rockstar should be ashamed of themselves 😂
the slamvan, sandking, and injection get a pass for being customs. as well as the sabre and buccaneer. the riveira is so similiar to the monte carlo of that year anyway. And the willard as well, willard was buick even in gta san andreas. and the car went from generic 80s box to slightly less generic 80s box.
Even though San Andrea's Tampa's real life counter part is a chevy corvair, I personally thinkg it ressembles a plymouth roadrunner, or at leastt that's what I like to think.
Really really loved the old Infernus and its chosen sound (Honda NSX)... !
At least the Wrangler "Mesa Grande" is still kinda right, in Vice City it's a YJ and in GTA: V it's a 4 door JK and now we have a 4 door JL "Terminus"
I dont think theres the Blista in VC/SA/4, but theres blista compact in these games (P.S. i forgot a lot about GTA4)
1:48 q civic fii? Ta chapano? Isso ai é um golzin quadrado
3:46 pulser? Ta de tiração mano k k k k k k k k k isso aí é um golfão
8:18 tudo errado, isso aí é uma montana fii
(Don't take it personal, it's just a joke)
@9:14 you Can find Eclipse to Penumbra /FF in GTA V
Every car or bike is a cross between two different makes. Like bf-400, ktm or honda africa twin. And that suzuki bandit looks a like honda cbr
Poniac was originally gonna make a car called te Banshee and it was gonna be very high tech and faster than any other car they had but the ceos wanted the Corvet to be their too performing car so they shelved the banshee and even stoll stuff from it to upgrade certain corvet models i figured banshee's were suposed to be corvettes of the gta universe untill the Coquette was invented..
It bugs me that the Jester Classic in GTA 5 is a Supra and not a first-gen NSX.
I think cars that change along the line of their parent and sister company’s are okay like Plymouth and dodge and ford and mercury but some of these are just lazy 😂
HD Manana is a Honda NSX???
3D and HD universes are different, thats all
some cars don't even follow the same universe lore
the infernus on gta 3 i guess it's more of a jaguar xj220 than a lamborghini (which makes it even more random lol)
The reason for the emperor change is likely cuz they wanted it for the brand emperor to represent lexus, though it is weird they decided to still reuse the name for an unrelated car
Infernus in GTA San Andreas is Honda NSX
What about the Stories games and GTAIV DLCs? Isn't there any strangeness? I'm legit asking.
The original gta 3 infernus was a vector m12. Based on a lambo diablo, but the body used in game is vector
