I like Nicholas Smith trains. Decent prices and nice people. They always help me with any questions.
You should check out Carvers Toy Trains in Gettysburg. Its unreal the amount of trains there. If you sneeze you’ll knock over 30 engines it’s that packed.
My go to store. They are the best!
I live about 10 minutes from here, always has been my go to train store
Nice tour Chris, NS was/is my local shop but you should have seen it 5-10 years ago. Since Chris Gans sold his business it will take awhile before its back to normal. One of his daughters and husband own it now and they have hired a manager to run it.
I’ve been eyeing an acela for a while and your video just helped me find one
I drive from Staten Island to nic Smith
Dave is the best
For on line purchases they are outstanding
Nice video of the train store, thanks!

Very Welcome CTAT... always entertaining... Love Hobby Shop Hop!!
Thanks, always enjoy your hobby shop tours.
Going to Train shops are as Potenet as a Train show you walk those doors And You are in a Better World hands down.love It.
Truly the Candy Shop , thanks for sharing tour trips
Great hobby shop visit Chris! And thanks for taking everyone's advice and slowing the camera panning down, a MUCH better video for it!
Yeah, I can understand your frustration at driving to a shop and finding it closed. About fifteen years ago I was heading home to Virginia from a training class in NJ and since it would have been an easy divert off I-95 to JusTrains in Newark DE I thought I'd give them a visit. It was a Saturday so I figured they had to be open. Best day of the week for retail, right?
Wrong! It was a YORK show weekend and the place was closed! They were all at York! It cost me $4 in a toll to get there and it was going to cost another $4 to get back to where I wanted to be! Man was I PO'd! I thought about leaving a "Nasty Gram" on the front door asking WHY it takes the whole staff to do a train show but thought better of it and didn't.
What are you gonna do? Stuff happens!
Thanks for the vid Chris. You're probably aware, but if not: More trains downstairs in the toy area, and they have their exclusive wood-sided reefers for $10/ each. Four different ones.
Thanks for taking us all along! Love your layout!
Thanks for the video Chris. The slower pan around the shelves is really helpful when looking at prices and details. Was that a Texas special F7 AB below the Baldwin I saw?
Awesome video of Nicholas Smith! That is one of my local hobby shops besides Henning’s.
I've never been to Nicholas Smith's but I've been to Henning's quite a few times, I have a niece who lives in Lansdale so it's easy to combine two visits. Gotta love Henning's, how can you not love a place that's bigger on the inside than it is on the outside! Or so it seems!
When Goin to a Train shop it’s Like the Train show make Your notes then Hit the Shop for what You Want to get.
I love this place so much
This train shop would not allow to of my club members because of mobility issues. Plus I am a deaf disabled veteran who only runs DC without sound.
That was my question. I assume no wheelchair access?
I really miss Chris and Joey.
I shop this store.....great prices and selection.....
Nice shop, not far for me to go to.
Not what it use to be.
