Younger, newer Coaches almost always sound like this. They don’t want to give opponents anything. The older coaches don’t care as much, they are settled into their systems so they don’t care as much
TNTs entire broadcast is a joke, I'd be doing the same giving them the absolute bare minimum and then going back to focus on the playoffs. Mark is a professional all around.

I understand why this is a regular season award since all of them are. But I feel this one more than any other should be after the playoffs. Some teams have injuries or trades that affect their regular season record but come playoffs turn it on. Example is last year's Heat team. When u consider where that team finished, Spo was definitely the COY last year.

Team record plays a big part in this award, even if spo is a truly all time great coach, you just can’t deny how good that OkC team is inthe loaded west, compared to Miami, even with all the injuries. Lots of great coaches, just not enough awards each season though.

Chris has a team with vets that was a playoff team and 3 all stars. Daigneault has the 2nd youngest team in the league with only really one superstar. Finches’ team was better on paper
@@znodiez10 I remember people a year ago saying that Minnesota made the worst trade in nba history with the gobert trade then the team was mediocre and did nothing. Chris turned a team and organization that people literally made fun of last year and made them tied for first. Mark is a great coach and has had a wonderful year but changing a whole team perception with essentially the same team shows the power of coaching. Tbh my three would be
