- Effie Moss pitched her brand of bespoke handcrafted teepees and accessories. She was seeking a £50,000 investment in exchange for 10% of Just For Tiny People. After multiple offers with varying equity deals, Effie felt that she made the right decision with The Dragon she chose.

This is an old episode. Regrettably, the company subsequently went bust. Maybe a lucky escape for Duncan and Kelly.

For people who don’t know Kelly Hoppen, she is an interior design giant. Doing properties all over the planet. She would have had an insane impact on this business. Far greater than Deborah, you really should study your dragons before entering the Den. Emphasised by her final interview, she had no Dragon in mind. Her decision was solely based on emotions.

I don't think it was purely based on emotion and so what that she has interior design? Deborah has retail and far more business knowledge IMO than Kelly
Deborah tickled her fancy with making some expansive Business loosely based on Teepees. The fact She took Deborah makes me think She’s not so confident in her own product.
Kelly and Duncan no doubt were absolutely positively 100% sure she was going to pick them. They both look offended after she picked Deborah! 😂

Two dragons for 10% each. I think she made an error there. Deborah is a beast but duel connections plus Kelly was into that and a good fit for it.
This is the reason that newer Dragons always end up leaving, Peter and Deborah's reputations and longevity in the Den is impossible to compete with.
very true...although I think Steven is the first new dragon to instantly get accepted by the clients because of his social media/influencer "guru" impression he portrays which in reality is probably no different to the other dragon's (certainly Peter/Touker) social media teams...

Why pick Deborah over Kelly. She is fantastic and would have brought so many more creative ideas to the table. Duncan & Kelly’s offer was much better.
there are plenty of 2 season dragons in the shows history, this pitch might well be why. This had Kelly Hoppen all over it, and she made the best offer.
Duncan sitting there knowing he cant compete with her, but trying to get in on the deal. Insane choice.

Having the two dragons sharing the 20%, was more profitable for the long run, including they would be two brilliant minds to elevate the business with additional products in future, I think.

Sounded rather too good. Think that is why Peter and Piers declined to get involved. You cannot say that without evidence. Would be good to have more info and learn from her experience.

Sounds like she angered a lot of people by offering Christmas payment plans, even though she knew the company was going under. A lot of people left out of pocket it seems.

the only reason she picked the nosiest Debra, she made business sense to diversify the product line. although better offer was on table, but it was mindless, especially Kelly who has really not invested in any bushiness apart from just one, and Duncan is more a ruffian/moby businesses of pubs, bars, gyms, bouquet halls, rentals, collection etc etc his portfolio is dry...

Dissolved doesn't always mean it failed or went bust. A company can also be dissolved following its takeover by a bigger company. They may well have sold it to a major toymaker and made a packet.

@@helenaville5939 They appointed a liquidator in Sept 2017 with debts of just over £300K. Final creditors meeting was May 2020 and company was formally liquidated in August 2020. Such a shame.
