It’s unfortunate that this video needs a disclaimer but here it is.
    1) I don’t endorse all that Dr. Brown teaches or support everyone he supports. This much was implied in this video and should be known to those who follow my ministry.
    2) I do think that some of the complaints I’ve seen online against Dr. Brown are fallacious and overblown. Basically, some of the gripes I read in the comment section are simply untrue. If I thought they were true I wouldn’t have asked him on. This is an issue of misinformation even though it has come from some otherwise respected leaders.
    3) Dr. Brown is a beloved brother in Christ with much to add to our defense of the truth of Christ and that’s what I have him here for.
    4) Some of the comments below are careless, heartless and misinformed and generally the kind of “discernment” that seems to lack any sort of attempt to “get the plank out of your own eye”.

Then you went against the Lord. Romans 16:7-18, ephesians 5:11, collossians 2:8, 2 John 1:10. Do you have any idea how many wolves are out there? How much deception? People are looking for the truth in troubling times. Fact is the only sourse of absolute truth is Gods word, which makes it troubling that you dont really look into the manuscript iseue and mock those that do. Asking opponents with monetary incentives to push their own work like James White doesnt count. And bringing on wolves makes us have to call into question all of your discernment. I used to list you as a solid teacher doctrine wise, outside of your doctrine of last things which is futurism.

      @ForeclosureGhost 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@alanx4121 That's a bit, but all I asked was if you could explain the verse you provided to me. It's okay if you can't, and I am not against you. The focus of man was to be seeking his living God whom dwells within. From there, man receives Truth of what the Bible is telling man. And if man has not understood what you wrote about someone named Lee, how did Adam arrive at Christ before knowing his Being? Christ has dwelt within all mankind since the beginning and if man, Adam, has not manifested the living Christ, how does man know he is in Christ? How does he know Christ? Because someone else says he is? Ponder that and know that I am not against you. Peace.

    • @ForeclosureGhost
      @ForeclosureGhost 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@alanx4121 Let me provide what that means? It is a bit lengthy, but it will better help you understand how Jesus applies? There is a lot of meaning in those few words but for some reason that could not be explained to me by you. So, let me explain if it makes any sense to you?
The three patriarchs of the Bible are Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. These three figures are referred to collectively as the patriarchs, and the period in which they lived is known as the patriarchal age.
Lets start with Abram? We don't need to go into Issac, or Jacob, for this explanation.
      Abram, a'-bram (Heb.) changed from father of height; father of exaltation; exalted father;
      to
Abraham, a'-brå-ham (Heb.) father (source, founder) of a multitude.
Grace on the inward thought pertains to Good will; favor; disposition to show mercy; aid from God in the process of regeneration. "By grace have ye been saved" (Eph. 2:5).
Blessing imparts the quickening spiritual power that produces growth and increase. It is the power of multiplication.
God, the almighty One; the Creator; the ruler of the universe; the Infinite; the Eternal. Jehovah.
Through us is how God instructs, to the world. He is the underlying, unchangeable Truth "with whom can be no variation, neither shadow that is cast by turning" (James 1:17).
Like as Abraham, God is personal to us when we recognize Him within us as our indwelling life, intelligence, love, and power. It would probably be better to speak of God individualized in man rather than of God personal to man because personal is limited. God is not.
The world, a state of consciousness formed through the belief in the reality of things external. It leads one to follow standards of living based on man's opinions rather than on Truth, Gods instructions.
Put was mentioned in Genesis but in a different form. Put (in A.V., Genesis 10:6, Phut), put (Heb.) is a state of being stifled, suffocation; asphyxiation; affliction, sorrow; sadness; breathing out of the spirit; despised. This was Abram before he became Abraham.
The seed is the word of God. The seed is the real man; not the external thinking personality that has consciousness of separation, but the internal Spirit center.
The illustration Jesus gave of the mustard seed is used to show the capacity of the apparently small thought of Truth to develop in consciousness until it becomes the abiding place of a higher range of thoughts (birds of the air).
The multitude was also mentioned in John 6:5. But, for some reason man looks outward only to miss the inner meaning. The "multitude" mentioned in John 6:5 is composed of our own hungry thoughts.
Abram is the name that the author of Genesis gave to the quality through which man has faith in the forces invisible. When this faith is concentrated upon the one God, a God consciousness is established and man intuitively knows that he is in communication with the ever living source of all existence. It was in this way that Jehovah communicated with Abram (Gen. 12:1) Jesus mentioned this when he said "I and the Father are One" in John 10:30.
In essence when looking inward, Abraham is the power of the mind to reproduce its ideas in unlimited expression. Is it not written that nothing is impossible with God? This ability of the mind to make substance out of ideas is called faith. When told by Jehovah that he was henceforth to be Abraham, Abram was told also that he was to be the father of a multitude. This means that one is to express faith by bringing the faith of God into the multitude of manifested thoughts and acts.
People that go around tossing out scripture should think about what they say. No wonder Jesus hasn't come yet. But seriously, Christ doesn't mind you calling him Jesus, just a long as you know where he is. Don't be looking "out there", you'll never see him coming.
The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Always has been.

Victoria Yak I am from Uganda and it blows my mind that most people in the western world do not believe in Jesus but we Africans who all speak different languages, have different tribes, are exposed to different gods of our tribes and would have found no any reason to believe in Jesus; when we find Him and know Him, we are completely undone and truly worship Him for Who He is( God) and He becomes our reason for existence. Indeed God uses the foolish things to confound the wise because many( not all) of the western cultures consider African cultures as barbaric, impoverished, etc. He is indeed a faithful God the God of the human race and it’s true how it’s written that every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord( Phillipians 2:10-11)

I’m such a fool…I came to Christ in 2016 and He changed my life and I faithfully followed Him for two years…then my biological father got deep into Judaism (our family is not Jewish) and he started telling me all these reasons Jesus wasn’t who He said He is and probably didn’t exist and I foolishly let it tear my world apart and I fell away for FIVE years and tried to take my life so many times in that 5 years because I just decided if Christ isn’t truth than there is no truth and if there is no truth there is no point in living…I repented last year and prayed to God this same prayer that if He is really there and Christ really is the truth than I will do anything for Him and go anywhere for Him and give up anyone and anything for Him, only save me from this life. Give me Christ or give me death. Nothing else matters in this life. Everything is worthless in view of the surpassing value of simply knowing Christ and being known by Him. There’s nothing more true than that. Praise God. All glory belongs to Him alone.

The arguments of this Brown guy are so inherently weak that it almost seems pathetic. I am no great Rabbi and I can literally destroy his every argument with little effort. That indicates to me that he has never truly studied the Bible.
Just to prove I am not just whistling Dixie here, his argument about the high priest dying being an atonement is in fact the very opposite. It is because the high priest was not worthy is why the people who go free do so at the time of his death. It is the fact that the world is rid of this high priest is why the people go free. It was actually the fault of the high priest that they were incarcerated in the first place. That's why they go free when he dies. So if one was to follow this line of reasoning which Brown presents to jesus, this would mean that it is jesus who is at fault for our sins.
The rest of his arguments are just as weak with some being even weaker. Example is his reference to Joshua the High Priest. He literally makes a mistake saying it's in chapter 6 when it is actually in chapter 3. He then conflates the two chapters referring to Joshua as the high priest referenced in chapter 6 when in fact it is not about Joshua at all. If he read the verses there properly, he would have known this. Moreover the point he is seeking to make is entirely defeated in chapter 6 in that the priest and the ruler are in fact NOT the same. There are two crowns because they are two *separate people* whom the verse says *will have peace between them.* (verse 13) If as Brown is trying to indicate that it is actually one person with two crowns (namely jesus) then the verse makes no sense in that it is not telling us anything by saying there will be peace BETWEEN them. Between whom? Who is the *'them'?*
He also mentions Isaiah 11. Yes, this is indeed the Messiah. The Messiah who will fear God. (verse 2) Hardly a description of jesus would you not say?
He also says that David was a King who performed priestly functions at times. This is simply not true. He literally made this up. Probably because he doesn't know what the Priestly functions are.
He then literally mistranslates Psalm 110.
I could go on but I think the point is made. Brown's arguments are both juvenile and misleading. They are also dangerous in that he is promoting a lie. He does not speak the word of God. He speaks the anti God words of Christian falsehood which has painted the bulls-eye and then shoots the arrow and so it always hits the bulls-eye. Not based on the accuracy of the shot but based on shooting the arrow into an already placed target.

The bible is CLEAR that the Jews killed Jesus, the apostles and the prophets and Gods wrath is upon them to the uttermost.
Jerusalem is Babylon - Babylon is the GREAT CITY in the Book of Revelation and Jerusalem killed the PROPHETS, APOSTLES, SAINTS & Jesus Christ which means only Jerusalem can be Babylon.
Carefully read these scriptures from the KJV.
Let’s look at the use of the word “GREAT CITY’ in the Book of Revelation.
Revelation 21 is the last time that GREAT CITY is used and it is HOLY JERUSALEM.
      Revelation 21:10
And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that GREAT CITY, the holy JERUSALEM, descending out of heaven from God,
GREAT CITY is first used in Revelation 11:8 where the bodies of the two witnesses will lie in the street…
      Revelation 11:8
And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the GREAT CITY, which spiritually is called SODOM and EGYPT, where also our LORD was CRUCIFIED.
Jesus was crucified in the GREAT CITY Jerusalem and Revelation 18 now tells us that the GREAT CITY is BABYLON - it couldn’t be any clearer.
      Revelation 18:10
Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that GREAT CITY BABYLON, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
Rome, USA, Mecca didn’t kill the Old Testament PROPHETS so they CANNOT be Babylon. Jerusalem killed the Prophets and is therefore Babylon.
      Revelation 18:24
18 And in her (Babylon) was found the blood of PROPHETS, and of SAINTS, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
      Revelation 17:5-6
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, BABYLON The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the SAINTS, and with the blood of the MARTYRS of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
      Matthew 23:34-37
34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you PROPHETS, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye SHALL KILL and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous ABEL unto the blood of ZACHARIAH (A to Z and also from the first person killed in the OT to the last - profound) son of Barachias, whom YE SLEW between the temple and the altar.
36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that KILLEST the PROPHETS, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
      1 Thessalonians 2:14-16
14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have OF THE JEWS:
15 Who BOTH KILLED the Lord Jesus, and THEIR OWN PROPHETS, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are CONTRARY to (against) ALL men:
16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the WRATH is come upon them to the UTTERMOST.
      Luke 13:34-35
34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which KILLEST the PROPHETS, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, UNTIL THE TIME COME WHEN YE SHALL SAY, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Its not because he is Jewish. When he was a Jew the rabbi's told him he didnt understand the language. So he went to college and became the leading expert in the language of the Bible. If you know anything about Ravi Tovia Singer you know hes favorite thing is to say Christians misunderstand then language. But when faced with Dr Brown his main weapon was removed and he found himself to be lacking understanding. This is the strength of Dr Brown, he knows the language and helps point out 100% to both Jews and Gentiles that Jesus/Yeshua was indeed the Messiah and he is able to show it through the OT scripture. This makes him the target of derision on many fronts. I do not agree with everything he does or says, but this is they way I approach EVERY apologist and teacher, with a grain of salt as I work out my own faith with fear and trembling. Follow no man, but when God puts some good learning opportunity in front of us I grab on. Dr Brown is my #1 Apologist, John Barnett (DTBM) is my #2 and Mike Winger is my #3. Everyone is going to have people who resonate more with them. I hope my answer helps.

@@bigshmooz610 time and time again the scriptures call the nation of Israel stiff-necked and disobedient. For every passage in which Israel is spoken of in a positive way, there's two passages in which God pours out His wrath against the nation of Israel. It says in the Torah that when Israel is obedient to God and His commandments they will live in the land, be fruitful, no armies will prevail against them, but when Israel is disobedient they will be driven out of the land that God promised to them and will be scattered to other nations by the sword. They will be forced to serve these cruel nations and suffer the consequences of their disobedience. So tell me, how can Israel be the innocent suffering servant spoken of in Isaiah 53 when it is God's promise to Israel that if they are obedient they will not suffer at the hand of other nations? Also, name me one nation that treated Israel with cruelty and survived. Did the Babylonian empire survive? No. Did the Roman empire survive? No. Both of these empire's collapsed. None of the nations that rose up against Israel were healed, and it's impossible for Israel to be the suffering servant when one of the most important detail about the suffering servants identity is innocence. If Israel were innocent it would not be suffering. Scripture makes that very clear. Also, on another note, another important trait of the suffering servant is that he did no violence and willingly accepted the suffering. Do you know why the Roman empire attacked Jerusalem and destroyed the second temple, both of which scattered the Jewish people into exile? The assault on Jerusalem was in response to the Jewish people REVOLTING against the Roman empire. How is that an example of an innocent suffering servant? Your arguments are weak. You clearly base your entire world view on the misguided views of counter missionary rabbis and their lack of historical understanding of the Hebrew scriptures.

anónimo2323 actually it isn’t refuted by Jesus. And is all throughout the scriptures even the Apostle Peter claims it in the book of Acts and the Apostle Paul in Galatians. However I implore you to take those verses you gave someone else and actually do your best to read them in context and not just believe what the Catholic Church taught you because the Catholic Church has many false teaching from praying to dead people to buying physical idols to sell your house. Anyone who actually lets the Bible dictate there lives can see that the Bible and catholic doctrine do not mix.

    • @shnobo9471
      @shnobo9471 4 ปีที่แล้ว

anónimo2323 it is funny you use Ephesians 3:21 out of context while also ignoring the entire chapter of ephesians 2 and furthermore the church isn’t a physical building it is shown in scripture as the body of Christ followers of Christ. It doesn’t mean a physical church building so yes there will be a church in every century and further more this is backed up when Jesus says to Peter upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail. He wasn’t talking about the Catholic Church and anyone who reads the chapter instead of just that verse can see that in context. Regardless I just want you to know the Catholic Church has lied to you about many things for example the council of Trent is a good one, where they added books to the Bible but then taught everyone else that Christians removed them. Or saying there is no salvation outside of the Christian church and then later on saying the opposite. Bud there is much you have to learn about the Catholic Church it is not of God.

    • @shnobo9471
      @shnobo9471 4 ปีที่แล้ว

anónimo2323 you are saying I am lying but, you haven’t actually read my comment if you had then you would see you where the one who was lied to about what the body of Christ is. The body of Christ is the church the church isn’t the body of Christ. Do you believe that the body of Christ would endorse paganism? Like the Catholic Church does? How they say if you just buy an idol of st Joseph and bury it in your yard your house will be sold immediately? You can look up in your own doctrine. Secondly you are twisting the word of God when you talk about division because Paul said note those who cause division contrary to sound doctrine and avoid them so in this case the Catholic Church would be the ones causing division contrary to sound doctrine as well as many denominations. By your definition of division the Catholic Church could not be the true church since not every Catholic Church agrees with another thus by your own standard you have condemned the Catholic Church and everyone on earth who is a part of a denomination. However that would mean Christ lied but, we know God can not lie and so we go back to what the scriptures actually teach which is that the body of Christ is the church not that the Roman Catholic Church is the body of Christ. Catholicism is a cult what they see as Grace has nothing to do with the scripture. They have forsaken the word of God and as the people in the book of Jeremiah have gone after there own hearts desires and are the ones talked about as well as many others who confess such blasphemous heresies. They can claim to follow Christ but, if they do not submit to the word of God in context then they are following unsound doctrine. You really need to read the chapters of these scriptures you are saying if I did what you are doing to scripture I could convince people they are entitled to all the worlds wealth if they serve Christ however, this to is a mishandling of scripture. Stop just taking a few verses in a chapter and actually read what they are saying, you are willfully taking bits of scripture out of context and ignoring any scripture that goes against the teaching of the Catholic Church, essentially you have made the Catholic Church your god instead of the God of the Bible. God bless and God be with you. I doubt you will read any of this since you showed a blatant disregard for my last comment however I hope some do and will be freed from the dangerous blasphemous teachings of the Catholic Church. Glory be to God forever and ever Amen.

In a perfect matter of fact, Dr. Brown settled the issue of Old Covenant vs. New Covenant, specifically regarding Sabbath.
I was once a Seventh-Day Adventist (now simply a follower of Jesus) and grew to love those people in that church. But, through initial seminary studies and working to create a ministry that glorifies God, I came to see that Jesus' work on the cross established a New Covenant.
There are clear problems with some doctrinal issues at the conference and leadership level of SDA, but I can say from experience that most of those who are SDA are Christians who love and keep Jesus central in their faith. I hear from SDA often at my channel that Saturday Sabbath observance is mandatory. I'm very glad Dr. Brown addressed this issue because, it's true, the Sabbath was never changed, but we are free in Jesus to worship under the New Covenant, which means if you feel lead to observe Sabbath and Feasts, etc, good for you, go for it! But, you should not be judging others based on such things and ought to keep Jesus as the center of faith.
As Christians in our New Covenant we are FREE in Jesus and ought to always keep Him at the center of our worship rather than legal ideals. That said, if I happen to be with Sabbath keepers on Saturday, I am happy to observe it with them as a Christian who is free in Jesus.
God bless all and thank you, Mike for your ministry and devotion to the truth of God's Word.

He presents the thinking of Christianity perfectly.
& yes, Brown misspoke in many places.
He also conflated chapter 3 with chapter 6 of the Book of Zecharya & came to a totally mistaken conclusion.
      He also mistranslated Psalm 110.
There were a number of errors he made in just the first ten minutes of the video (which is as far as I got into the video before posting this) which I pointed out in my own thread I started here on this channel.

Mike. If you had been burnt by the false fire of the counterfeit spirit that started the Brownsville "revival" you would either be helping Mr Brown to "get out of the fire" and repent (see Jude) or staying away from any association with him. It doesn't really matter how much anyone knows about Hebrew, or Christology (an unbelieving scholar can have such knowledge) what is more important is godly
humility and integrity in admitting one has been involved in unbiblical and demonic practices that have clouded their judgment to discern between what is true and what appears to be true.

Of course having Michael Brown on as a guest doesn't endorse everyone he supports or teaches, but its not like having a disagreement over end times theology or how to organize church services (which are reasonable disagreements). The problem is he works along side, shares pulpits with, goes to conferences and defends on his show the absolute worst people in Christian Ministry and their heretical teachings. And now you've opened the door to new and immature Christians to follow him. I know the results because it happened to me with the Elephants Room discussions when they had TD Jakes on. I started listening to TD Jakes and got sucked into the whole Word Faith nonsense.

Exactly the point. Winger doesn't care if people check out whom Brown agrees with. This isn't heresy hunting, it's keeping in with solid teaching, not anything that can lead to a Brownsville Revival...and drunk in the Spirit and laughing....and stuck to the floor...and all that's not of the Spirit.

Why would you give Michael Brown a platform? The man who publicly endorses people like Heidi Baker..? Don't be offended by the many people taking offend with this. You are making videos about the dangers of new age and mysticism in the church, and then introduce your followers to a man that endorses people that do exactly those things you are warning us about. I listen to a wide range of preachers, if I learn from them, I keep listening, if the Spirit tells me to move on, I move on. I don't feel the need to criticize anyone, I might disagree with some people, but a failure to be respectful is a sign that the fruit of the Holy Spirit is not in you.

Sadly, too many Christians (as are those that are unbelievers that we criticize) are harming the cause of Christ by being self-righteous, willfully ignorant, legalistic, ,unduly judgmental, arrogant and lacking love and respect....which lend much as to why Christianity is such a "turn off" and we are warned about in Scriptures.
I really enjoyed this as I've found Messianic Jews are highly interesting and enlightening. They have brought many to Christ. And for those that may not know, there are many, many Christians who don't have a clue what NAR is and gain needed knowledge from people like him.

This to me is not a secondary inhouse issue but a gospel issue that falls out of the limits of orthodoxy. Those who truly have been saved therefore they persevere. Not that we persevere then we are saved. That’s blasphemy. That implies that WE EARN our salvation which is UNBIBLICAL. Deals Durban JESUS invented ETERNAL SECURITY!
While the believer may gain assurance of his salvation and know that he has been saved, the question may arise concerning the permanence of his salvation. Once genuinely saved by trusting in the merit of Christ’s death on the cross for sin, can the believer lose his salvation? Is there anything we can do to lose our salvation? The answer is NO! Why? Because Scripture clearly affirms the fact we are protected by the power of God through faith. Faith brings us into a grace relationship with God as a gift of God through the merit of His beloved Son. We are saved by His record, not ours.
1 Peter 1:5 who by God’s power are protected through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Ephesians 1:6 to the praise of the glory of his grace that he has freely bestowed on us in his dearly loved Son.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 it is not from works, so that no one can boast.
The following seven approaches set forth the case for the believer’s eternal security, “buckled up for safety” because of the power of God and the overwhelming sufficiency of the person and work of Christ.
      The Trinity Approach
The first argument for the eternal security of the believer stems from seeing how all three persons of the trinity work in concert to make and keep us secure in Christ.
FROM THE STANDPOINT OF THE SON
Romans 8:31-39 What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 Indeed, he who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is the one who will condemn? Christ is the one who died (and more than that, he was raised), who is at the right hand of God, and who also is interceding for us. 35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will trouble, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written, “ For your sake we encounter death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we have complete victory through him who loved us! 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, nor things that are present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The declaration in Romans 8:34, “Christ is the one who died,” is given in answer to the questions of verses 31-33, and in anticipation to the questions and declarations of verses 35-39. The goal of verse 34, however, is to show the absolute security of the believer. Two reasons are stated in relation to God the Son:
      (1) Christ Died as Our Redeemer and Substitute: By His death Christ removed the barrier that separates mankind from God. Man’s sin and God’s holiness, which form a barrier between the sinner and God, were dealt with at the cross so God is free to justify us, declare us righteous through faith in Jesus Christ. The same truth is declared in the following verses.
Romans 3:23-28 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. 24 But they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. 25 God publicly displayed him at his death as the mercy seat accessible through faith. This was to demonstrate his righteousness, because God in his forbearance had passed over the sins previously committed. 36 This was also to demonstrate his righteousness in the present time, so that he would be just and the justifier of the one who lives because of Jesus’ faithfulness.27 Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded! By what principle? Of works? No, but by the principle of faith! 28 For we consider that a person is declared righteous by faith apart from the works of the law.
Romans 5:1,8 Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, … 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
The book of Hebrews states Christ’s death is the only sacrifice which counts and is once and for all time.
Hebrews 9:11-14 But now Christ has come as the high priest of the good things to come. He passed through the greater and more perfect tent not made with hands, that is, not of this creation, 12 and he entered once for all into the most holy place not by the blood of goats and calves but by his own blood, and so he himself secured eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a young cow sprinkled on those who are defiled consecrated them and provided ritual purity, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our consciences from dead works to worship the living God.
Hebrews 9:26-28 for then he would have had to suffer again and again since the foundation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the consummation of the ages to put away sin by his sacrifice. 27 And just as people are appointed to die once, and then to face judgment, 28 so also, after Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, to those who eagerly await him he will appear a second time, not to bear sin but to bring salvation.
Hebrews 10:12-14 But when this priest had offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 where he is now waiting until his enemies are made a footstool for his feet. 14 For by one offering he has perfected for all time those who are made holy.

      Deals Durban
      (2) Christ Is Risen and Sits at God’s Right Hand. The second argument of Romans 8:34 concerns the resurrection and session of the Savior at God’s right hand. He sits at God’s right hand as our powerful advocate and intercessor to plead our case when we sin or when accused of sin, and to intercede on our behalf by virtue of His finished work on the cross which reconciles us to God.
Revelation 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, “The salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the ruling authority of his Christ, have now come, because the accuser of our brothers, the one who accuses them day and night before our God, has been thrown down.”
Romans 5:10-11 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, since we have been reconciled, will we be saved by his life? 11 Not only this, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received this reconciliation.
Hebrews 7:25 So he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
John 17:11 I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them safe in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are one.

The subject is very interesting, and I'd love to watch a video on the Christhood of Jesus from a Jewish perspective. But Michael Brown has proven himself to be too deceitful to consider even listening to him. I'm not using the word "deceitful" lightly, and I hope you'll reconsider your (public) position towards him. Associating yourself with him is hurting your viewers and your own credibility. What are the essentials vs non-essentials and how do you come up with them?

    • @karaschiller9932
      @karaschiller9932 4 ปีที่แล้ว

I can't give you a perfect description but I may be able to help you a little. Essentials include Jesus is God, Jesus died on the cross, rose again and ascended to the Father, and will return to judge the world. Jesus is the only way to God. It is only through repentance and turning to trust Jesus that he paid for your sins and you are totally forgiven for sins past, present and future because of what he has done. Salvation is by Grace alone through faith alone, and works come as a result (works do not lead to or contribute to salvation). The bible in the original languages (greek, hebrew etc.) is the inspired word of God, written by men, but totally truthful. Other essentials are that God is love and that every single person (except Jesus) has sinned against God and God is just to punish sin, whether through Jesus on the cross or a person suffers for their own sin. God is triune. Those are some of the essentials, I may be forgetting some at the present, which doesn't mean I necessarily think they are negotiable. I'm just listing some that come to mind. Some of the non-essential issues include: your take on spiritual gifts - Do they still exist or have they ceased? Or whether or not God desires to heal people of their physical affliction, this side of eternity. A good question to ask that might help you identify what is essential and what isn't is by asking yourself, could someone think this and still be saved, or not?

46:30 hold up! How and where does one get a "PhD in Old Testament"? And can I work up to it from a BA in Translation and Interpretation?

Mike, why provide a platform for someone who promotes a false works based gospel that doesnt save? Last time I checked that's heresy and were called to seperate from those that preach a false gospel.

Excellent teaching on jesus in the O.T. i have many of Dr Brown's dvds in my collection . On my youtube channel i have several of the late Dave hunts lectures on this topic who i believed was the first person i ever heard talk about this in the late 80s and early 90s and who convinced me that Jesus was God. I was 20 year old athiest before that.
It is good to see more people discussing this now as the U.S. as a whole is becoming more and more clueless to all this and have no idea that these old testimentn scriptures exist. This is alot more convincing than testomies on how Jesus proved himself in some supernatural way that he was God and changed their lives. I dont doubt it that He has done this to people but the church should present the Jesus in the O.T. more than they do as its the only proof that He is who He said he was. Dave hunt use to say faith is not some sort of leap in the dark where you just check your mind at the door and blindly follow but you need strong reasons for your faith and the more reasons you have the stronger your faith will become.
