I currently have the tech 21 case for my Galaxy S9. I've only come across a couple issues with it. For anyone who is wondering, I have noticed the bottom lip of the case (near the charging port) to be a little loose fitting at times. Another issue is the power button, sometimes my phone thinks I am pressing too hard, and asks to shutoff or restart (doesn't happen often, but does happen). Also I have noticed that dust and other particles can get under the case, and dirty the phone.
I am a big fan of the Unicorn Beetle cases. Have had them on every phone I have owned and were all the most durable and never had so much as a scratch. They do wear down in some cases and after removing the front portion a few times, it broke after almost 2 years but that was more my doing than the case itself. Highly recommend them. And considering they are half the price, makes it even better
Great video on quality cases for the S9. I personally ordered the Rugged SUPCASE with holster for my S9+. I wear the holster at work and phone in pocket when I go out. Best of both worlds for me.
I got the first Supcase but in carbon and black. It is $30 where I live but was on sale for only $10. For the price I think it's great for protection. However, it's not as nice since as the pictures made it seem. The carbon was matte but looks glossier in the pictures. Also, the black plastic parts they made super glossy. That made it look a lot cheaper than it should. Would of been better if they made it all matte black or gloss carbon with matter black plastic. Again, for the price as a kick around case it's still not bad.
Agree with you about the otterbox. Had a commuter on my s8 and dropped it all the time because it would slip out of my hand. When I got my s9 made sure I didn't buy an otterbox didn't want to risk a freak accident where it slips out of my hand and cracks
You mentioned the issue with the lip on the Tech21 but not that it is poorly fitted in that spot. I was set on buying it for the S9 and S9plus until I had the sales associate place the cases on the phones and noticed the extremely obvious bulge. I performed my own pocket test and that spot was repeatedly pulled away.
So far I have bought a pelican Voyager case and the Symmetry OtterBox also the Whitestone screen protector I'm about tapped out as far as funds go for phone cases for the next few weeks LOL. It has been the longest two weeks possibly of my life this damn phone better be here by the 14th like they promised LOL thank you very much for your videos I watch everyone
QUICK UPDATE FOR UAG CASE: I have been using uag case on my samsung galaxy s6 and those 5 black rubber dots at the back left permanent marks on my phone back on the glass. I enjoyed the case but that marks that it left on my phone really made a bad impression over long period. Not going to buy UAG for my s9...
did the supcase frostcase fit in the ubPro holster too? or os ot too lose in ? UB-Pro case is to huge like Oetter, Pelican &Co if you have small or medium handsize(mostly why you take only S9 and not Plus) and take hybridcase like UB-Pro your smartphone not longer fit in your hands :(((
I have the Unicorn beetle but that one is when riding my mtb or somerhing like that, for every day use it is a little too much and my official damsung case with the stand came apart after so much use. I like the Speck one 👍, going to check that one.
So my experience with Otterbox is, yes you get a really good protective case that will survive pretty much every drop but then again you will also probably be droping your phone a whole lot more with that case on lol Its almost as if they are making it slippery so you drop it a lot and actually get some use out of the case.
Jimmy is Promo guess what i havent wore jeans in general ever sence 2nd grade im a freshman now i stopped wearing them because every time i run or bend down bam ripped and i had a lot of jeans at least 15 and alk ripped in the butt crack
I wish most of these offered increased... (/any) front SIDE lips..... many have good top/bottom, which will catch most drops, but even still, would be better to compromise edge touch slightly for better side lip protection, imo.
Nice video. I wish you would bump the exposure up, or increase the lighting on your overhead shots. It's hard to see the details on the black cases. Also, what strap are you using on your Gear? Nice one.
Nice and thorough review, good job! Although I was interested in touch sensitivity on the case with a built-in screen protector, and you didn't test that, so please review that next time as well. Thanks!
I need to add some bulk to this little s9 for my big hands without obscuring anything. Which of these does that the best? And would I need a screen protector?
In the pocket test, put dollar bills in your pocket too. Maybe a separate test with a credit card. I like grippy cases but some drag everything else out of your pocket too. I'm joking about actually doing this, kinda... Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
did the supcase slimfit it in the holster of the supcase Pro too? did the supcase cases fit only to screen in or did the case fitted in the holster with screen out too? is it required to adjust the S9 in the adjustment to screen covered for supcase Pro case or did touchscreen work without slow effects?
Hi Brett I've got the s9 and bought the unicorn beetle pro after your review it's a fantastic case just 1 question the port where you charge the phone the rubber stopper pushes hard against the charger do you think will cause problems in the future? Do you think I should cut that part off the case. Thank you kindly
Fantastic review I'm interested in the unicorn beetle pro can I ask do you think my phone will still fit into the case even if I already have a tempered glass screen protector already on myPhone. Thank you
I might see if I can buy the unicorn supcase. I've also got a question, because the supcase is kinda see through, I used to have a see through case on the back and when I put in on, about 2 days later dust starts getting through and you can see it through the back. The case also had flaps on the bottom of the phone to cover up the holes. Do you know how I could stop dust getting through the back and if that happens to the supcase?
Is the video you are doing for the compatibility with Whitestone Dome Glass screen protector? The Supcase Unicorn rugged screen protector is very responsive? How would you compare it with Whitestone Dome? You didn't need to change any sensitivity settings for the SUPCase?
I live in Utah as well. I currently have the s8+. Love it a lot. But the tech21 case that I have slips a lot. However Its had a few drops and the phone looks new. It protects it really well. Its pretty bulky though so it take away from the sleek design of the s8+. Im getting the s9+ in couple months. Any cases that protect the phone and still keeps the sleek design look?
I ordered the UB Pro. Do you think if I popped the built in screen protector out, that the whitestone dome glass screen protector will fit in the case? I ordered both because I didn't notice that the UB Pro came with one built in.
looking for a case made out of hard plastic with belt clip for use in clean room lab...... cant have rubber as material of construction since rubber is a dust magnet
2:47 I don`t know why they continue to add those metal buttons to Jeans pants pockets which causes scratches to cell phones...and when leaning on a neighbor`s car!!
I've been using a sillicone case for 3 years and dropped my phone from stairs, from eye height, smashed it off a table (all by accident btw lmao) and it tdoesn't even have a scratch, like nothing at all
I really enjoyed all your video. Please, next time, mention in your reviews how much the fingerprints are showing on the case; to me that can easily be a deal-breaker. I can not stand fingerprints on the phone or case....thank you
This company is a great company and I have that same case on my a Galaxy S8 and my iPhone 7 plus it's a good case I love it and it's cheap for how it holds up to be the case it's self UNICORN BEETLE search it on Amazon
Out of all these cases which one would you say has the highest sides? I know a few people that have the S8 plus and they have cracked their screen protector and each one of them had the low sides and they bumped the phone against something. When I do pick up a couple more cases I would like to have the sides above the phone a little bit
Can you help me find a wallet-style holder for my new s9 Plus? I have been using one with my s7 Edge I liked. Denim exterior, leather back & trim. Inside- 3 pockets, and a place for my drivers license.
Let me know if I can answer any of your questions about these cases.

Tech With Brett dude which case is better uag or zizo bolt ?
I have never tried the Zizo but I really like the UAG.
02.58 rugged case
Can it use whitestone screen protector with this case so will have a dual screen protector.
But will it fit in ,?
did you really think the intro was a good idea?
This one was better: th-cam.com/video/cCMFSphN-iM/w-d-xo.html

I purchased the Speck case for my s9 plus. Great case!
What color did you get? I want charcoal grey but I'm worried it will become dirty.
Great review. So many reviewers skip the most important aspects of cases. Namely grip and slide factor. Subscribed.
Thank you!

I've had a unicorn beetle case in the past they're very nice and the clip does rotate as well.
Thank you for posting this review. I decided to get the Speck case :)

You are getting close! Thanks for watching and let me know if you need help with anything.
Nice video! I wish I would get my phone lol.. But alas samsung wants to deny me S9 goodness..
Sad news.
Tech With Brett Yea. I have like 122 cases but no Phone lol
QUICK UPDATE FOR UAG CASE:

Got the tech 21 and a screen protector. Like having a slim feel and not all bulky. Has survived one drop test from about 4 feet. still works lol.
have u dropped it face flat? did it protect
Shouldnt b dropping your phone
did the supcase frostcase fit in the ubPro holster too? or os ot too lose in ?
UB-Pro case is to huge like Oetter, Pelican &Co if you have small or medium handsize(mostly why you take only S9 and not Plus) and take hybridcase like UB-Pro your smartphone not longer fit in your hands :(((
UAG Always the best for me!
Great video keep up the good work some nice cases like the uag and unicorn beetle cases the best! 👊😎👌
Do a drop test with case screen facing forward
Great video on the cases. I just wished that you had mentioned which cases could do wireless charging.
Fantastic review, very informational!
Dang that was a fast response Haha. You've earned a new sub! Keep on making great videos.
Thank you! I will do my best to keep them coming!
I have the Unicorn beetle but that one is when riding my mtb or somerhing like that, for every day use it is a little too much and my official damsung case with the stand came apart after so much use. I like the Speck one 👍, going to check that one.
l have the first case and it's good
nice review. for best results, watch at 2x speed.

Great video! I decided to get the speck Presidio grip and tech 21 evo check. Which one should I put on my phone?
Thanks for the video. Can you please compare next time the front lip of the cases. I think it's really important specially with the samsung phones.
I could could do. Thanks for the help!
Very informative . Nice
Hey I'm in Utah too! Great little detail to add
Nice one Brett thanks for the links...
So I wear skinny Jeans can you wear skinny jean bell bottoms next time? Need to make sure these fit in my Friday night pants
Jimmy is Promo guess what i havent wore jeans in general ever sence 2nd grade im a freshman now i stopped wearing them because every time i run or bend down bam ripped and i had a lot of jeans at least 15 and alk ripped in the butt crack
Great video, tech with Brett! I need a case to have good grip and front screen protection. Still digging your INTRO! 🔥
Love your videos BTW😁😁😁😁
I wish most of these offered increased... (/any) front SIDE lips..... many have good top/bottom, which will catch most drops, but even still, would be better to compromise edge touch slightly for better side lip protection, imo.
Place it flace down. Ha Good video though. I got the Presidio grip. Love that line.
Great video and so informative!
I wish there was less contrast while recording though
Thanks for the feedback. I am working on figuring out the best lighting.
Nice video. I wish you would bump the exposure up, or increase the lighting on your overhead shots. It's hard to see the details on the black cases. Also, what strap are you using on your Gear? Nice one.
Sorry about that, I will work on improving that. It is the standard band that comes with the Gear Sport.
unicorn rugged case is very very much worth the 20 bucks, that thing is rugged, durable, and very. very secure
Nice and thorough review, good job!
Although I was interested in touch sensitivity on the case with a built-in screen protector, and you didn't test that, so please review that next time as well.
Thanks!
Sorry about that. There is an new setting on the phone that allows for you to increase the touch sensitivity of the phone so it should be great.
"if we place if fwlace"
"if we pace"
'So now if we place it face down"
funny stuff man! :D really like the video
Thanks, love the video I went with the rugged SUPcase for my s9 because of your great video and overall testing and description
Glad it was helpful!
I've always believed in tech21 with their cases. I've watched drop test videos using the cases. They are very durable at a value price.
Have you ever heard of dbrand grip, if not you'll love it!!!
But it's not available for s9+
I hear it's no where to be found.
Tech With Brett you can find it on indiegogo,or in the official website of dbrand.
amiya jalui it will be soon enough... I am still waiting myself for the s6 active version...
That is a great idea and I did wonder how I could improve the pocket test.
The unicorn Beatle us worth it for a good protection
did the supcase slimfit it in the holster of the supcase Pro too? did the supcase cases fit only to screen in or did the case fitted in the holster with screen out too? is it required to adjust the S9 in the adjustment to screen covered for supcase Pro case or did touchscreen work without slow effects?
Hi Brett I've got the s9 and bought the unicorn beetle pro after your review it's a fantastic case just 1 question the port where you charge the phone the rubber stopper pushes hard against the charger do you think will cause problems in the future? Do you think I should cut that part off the case. Thank you kindly
If it is bending it excessively it possibly could cause some damage but I don't think it would be enough to hurt the phone.
Nice video, but you desk needs more light.
Thanks, I must have messed up my camera settings on this one. I will see what I can do.
I love the defender
Fantastic review I'm interested in the unicorn beetle pro can I ask do you think my phone will still fit into the case even if I already have a tempered glass screen protector already on myPhone. Thank you
It is possible but it might slightly lift up the protector in the corners.
Thank you much appreciated I've got the case and used a pet screen protector my extra ocd
Do you know how I could stop dust getting through the back and if that happens to the supcase?
did the subcase unicorn beetle clear case fit in the pro holster too? or are the holster only for the pro front covered case?
on the ub pro case u didnt mention any thing about screen sensitifity
That intro surprised me
Supcase can be used with wireless charging.
UB pro case 👍
I have the tech21 case for the s9 and for my s7 I had the same kind of case and I kept dropping my s7 and it wouldn't break
Is the video you are doing for the compatibility with Whitestone Dome Glass screen protector?
The Supcase Unicorn rugged screen protector is very responsive? How would you compare it with Whitestone Dome? You didn't need to change any sensitivity settings for the SUPCase?
I will be making one that tests some cases but it will be more of a case review.
No review on the pelican shield?
I ordered the UB Pro. Do you think if I popped the built in screen protector out, that the whitestone dome glass screen protector will fit in the case? I ordered both because I didn't notice that the UB Pro came with one built in.
some people say the screen protector from the case like UB pro easily get scratch ,its it true ??
sir, which case has the most raised edges?
looking for a case made out of hard plastic with belt clip for use in clean room lab...... cant have rubber as material of construction since rubber is a dust magnet
Dear please how to make DownGrade in Samsung S9+ with 9. Andriod..
UAG Monarch or Dbrand Grip with a skin?
2:47 I don`t know why they continue to add those metal buttons to Jeans pants pockets which causes scratches to cell phones...and when leaning on a neighbor`s car!!
How did you make your notifications to be transparent? They don't have the white background on the lockscreen?
Don't waste your money guys the gx will be coming out soon no doubht
I used tech 21 evo check case on my s8 plus .when accidentally fallen my mobile on floor 2 time both of time sim tray broken .....
I've been using a sillicone case for 3 years and dropped my phone from stairs, from eye height, smashed it off a table (all by accident btw lmao)
and it tdoesn't even have a scratch, like nothing at all
I really enjoyed all your video. Please, next time, mention in your reviews how much the fingerprints are showing on the case; to me that can easily be a deal-breaker. I can not stand fingerprints on the phone or case....thank you
Will do. Out of all of these the only one that has any noticeable fingerprints was the Clear View Cover from Samsung.
Tech With Brett I figured because I had it on my S6 Edge and it droved me crazy. I don't think I've used it for more than two days...
Very true can't stand fingerprints
i have uag cower for my galaxy 7 edge
Awesome
Wait you only have 60K subs?!
Unicorn Beetle pro !!!
Dude .. when the zizo bolt will come out ?
This company is a great company and I have that same case on my a Galaxy S8 and my iPhone 7 plus it's a good case I love it and it's cheap for how it holds up to be the case it's self UNICORN BEETLE search it on Amazon
Not counting the one with cover, which would be best for screen first drop?
The OtterBox seemed the best for drop protection.
Watching this on my s9+ with free jelly case on.
UAG
My brother used the tech 21 case but he broke his phone when he dropped it from less than a foot
Nice
What do you do with bnb the cases when you're done reviewing them?
Throw them in a box.
Out of all these cases which one would you say has the highest sides? I know a few people that have the S8 plus and they have cracked their screen protector and each one of them had the low sides and they bumped the phone against something. When I do pick up a couple more cases I would like to have the sides above the phone a little bit
The OtterBox and the UAG have the greatest lip to protect the screen if it we're to land flat.
I am not sure to get the idea of buying a very slim phone if it is to put a cse around it that triples its thickness !
If i'm going to spend a grip on my very slim phone, i'm going to protect it. Never know what can happen.
These phones cost $1500- $1800 in Australia. You're a total idiot of you don't protect your investment.
Wibble Wobble yes we all already know that Australia is full of idiots !
hahah true! Almost as many as the USA has!
good thing he's canadian!
Does tempered glass fit under the otter case
The symmetry slightly covered the glass.

Ugh,,,everytime the screen went landscape u kept pressing the home button again and again and again....Nevertheless thanks for sharing
Does the second unicorn case with built in screen protector cut off a little off the edges of the S9 screen?
Daniel Diaz it looks like it
I subscribed you today when you used Samsung emoji🤣😂
Can you help me find a wallet-style holder for my new s9 Plus? I have been using one with my s7 Edge I liked. Denim exterior, leather back & trim. Inside- 3 pockets, and a place for my drivers license.
How does this one look: amzn.to/2peDVk4 (affiliate)
The price is right, I like the compartments inside the case, but the flap on the outside would kill it for me. I want a magnatized closure.
Does the uag fit with a screen protector?
Yes, the was plenty of clearance between the case and protector.
Tech With Brett THANKS MAN!
Are you going to up date for tech21 in your links when it becomes available?
Yes I will. There is still nothing on Amazon yet.
Tech With Brett
What screen protector would you recommend for the Tech 21 Case that will provide best coverage?
The Whitestone Dome Glass worked great!

I need for my s9+ UAG like yours i mean like your color what is the name of yours

I went to the shop and bought a very nice shirt worth £869. Now I'm gonna buy a big coat to protect and hide my beautiful shirt. WTF.
Sup case is copying uag design
They also copied Poetic with the other one
Does alle the cases work with wierless charging?????????
Yep!
