the vac explosion is actually terrifying because there's less time to react than like a booyah bomb or tri strike or something. if they make it so you fire the shot faster after you finish charging or they make it so you can stop charging whenever you want, this thing will be genuinely scary
Tbh I don’t know why they would buff the vac, I main splat charger and that has ink vac and I get a lot of kills with it I thought it was fine itself 😭

I love this jet squeltcher kit always knew it had potential but I still want the angle shooter to have a trip wire effect meaning when your not hit by it and you hit the line instead of just getting tagged you get hit for 20 damage it will make this thing just that much more useful also jet with wall and wave breaker for another kit would be so amazing
I've always been a fan of the squelchers from previous games and I like the idea of vac being a supportive special so it's nice to see it buffed. I'm also glad the angle shooter now feels more like a commanding strike where you point and weaken a player whose giving the team issues and have your team members finish them off. You could always do this before but now I've noticed people are more willing to back up when they get hit by them especially chargers. I switched to using the custom version because I think toxic mist and ink storm is such a good combo for pushing back but I'm glad to know I have options now.
If they buffed Vac in a way that makes it reliable at getting its shot off, base Jet Squelcher might honestly get bumped up all the way to top tier, which would be especially impressive after starting at pretty much bottom tier when the game first released. That fully charged shot is SCARY
Honestly this vac buff might make Big Swig have a niche on wahoo zones. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a player like bagel use it a lil bit on that map mode.
These buffs made me finally get around to making an offense oriented gear set for the base og jet squelcher and wow do these buffs help it get in when it needs to help the team with ink vacuum or pester targets from a distance more effectively with angler. Before it was just underwhelming to use but now it’s neutral kit is more solid.

this weapon legitimately makes buffing ink vac in certain ways a bad idea. if ink vac is buffed to be able to fire on command instead of at the end, this becomes basically a worse but equally unhealthy cjet from 2, camping and farming special only to immediately fire it off and start farming another one
If that happens than just nerf is points to 200,210, or even 220 if it gets that bad. Or they could make it so that you can command fire it 5 seconds into the special

Jet as a main weapon is one of the most underrated in the game. I played the custom on turf and was throttling the other team
I agree, but I feel like it isnt used as much, because there's better options. Jet can also really struggle on some maps

Gal .96 was my weapon in Splatoon 1 - but the vacuum never clicked for me. Now I am loving it. Sprinkler also got buffed which is just awesome.
Original .96 was my go to for Tricolour for a long time, post buff it feels better than ever!

Been using the jet since day 1, SUPER happy about the buffs. The weapon just needed a small boost and it finally did!
