Thank you for being so real, your hair looks great! You should see mine. This stuff really sucks and is harder to go through than anyone not in it would think.
You are saying everything I said 6 months ago. I was even thinking that the bag as better than this situation. Here’s some positive news, the last 2 days I was on the beach for 5 hours at a time with no restroom close-by. As Traci said, Hang in there, it will get better. It will I didn’t think I’d ever have normal bowel movements again, but your body amazingly adjusts.Your looking awesome for what you’ve been through.🙏🙏🌹🌹
Hi Brittani 👋 good to see you. My dear it will get better for you. Give it time,I know you can get impatience. We all want things to go back to normal but it's a new life for us. Just thank God your alive and will be adjusting to your new life. May God bless you and your family always. Keep giving us your updates. They keep me going to fight this disease. Much love 💘 p.s. I love what you said about what cancer took from us.
Hang in there and give it more time. It's only been one week. My husband didn't leave the house for several weeks, so you are brave. :) Everything you're talking about sounds very familiar. My understanding is that your colon should adjust and function more like a rectum with time. My husband used(s) psyllium husk powder and only used Imodium once or twice. He will still have a random "busy" bathroom day, but, it's contained to MUCH shorter time periods and not all night or all day. Still sending you positive vibes.
I feel this!!! I’m one week post op from having my colostomy reversed and I don’t dare go to far from the bathroom. I’m scared to death to leave the house lol. So happy I found you!!!
Hi Brittani! Thanks for posting your videos. I’m right behind you, girl. Reversal coming up sometime in the near future. When you said you beat cancer but did you really? That made me cry. I hope you’re feeling better and better every day. And you do look great 🙂 Best wishes 🌸
Hey Brittany… I feel your pain! Yep, btdt and ate once a day for yrs so I could live. In 07 I had the iliostomy. In 20 in had the colostomy. It has been the best thing for me and I should’ve done it before the fissure caused sepsis and almost killed me. You are a strong woman and can whip this too. Hang in there!!! You can always dm me if you have questions or need help. I’m a pro crapper now! 😂
Why did you have the surgery.. Do not want to have to go again through the diahrea, pain after pain. Was it really needed it to have the surgery. Had illestomy surgery but thank goodness all is good.
Brittani, since its been 2 yrs, how long did it take you to finally get back to normal? Im going in for a reversal due to diverticulitis, in two weeks. Can you please inform me? Hoping for the best for you.
@WelcomeTooo oh hello, My surgery went well. Recovery time was much easier and quicker than the original surgery. The biggest n longest issue Ive had is getting the bowels regulated back to normal. I had my reversal April 26 n Im still taking one Immodium AD a day. The first two weeks I didn't know i could take the Immodium 3 xs a day. So I was very very sore. Ask your doc what can you take to help slow it down. Pretzels helped me as well. I can now go two days without an Imodium AD. But ask ur doc because you very well could have issues n Do Not allow them to go for more than 4 days to a week. I did stay away from Lettuce for a very long time. It wasn't friendly. Lol! Slowly introducing it 7 mths later. If you have any other questions, please ask. Ill help as much as I can. If not, then I wish you the very best with your reversal.
@WelcomeTooo Hi my surgery went well. I did have an issue for two weeks with my bowels. I was told to take an Imodium spread out up to 4 times a day. I took 3 per day spread out n it helped A lot to slow down the bowels. Gradually i got to only needing one per day. Its been 8 mths since my reversal and im down to one imodium every third day. Working on not taking any. There are other products you can use. I used the Imodium because it was quick n easy. Im eating nearly everything i use to eat. Still no luck with onions n I Love Fried onions. Oh well. Maybe next year. Lol! Wishing you luck! PS. I did write before to your question but somehow it doesn't show up.
Had my reversal in December. Thought exactly the same. Now all good. It does get better . Hang in there.
