Apparently, Todoroki’s scar is actually a Frostbite mark. His body is able to hand high temperatures, but not very cold temperatures. His mom poured hot water on his eye, but she tried to make it better by flash freezing the burn. Because you shouldn’t put ice on a burn it made a scar on his eye and stayed there for the rest of his life.

She also can heal all Might's serious injury and give all might one for all back but I doubt Horikoshi would do that cuz that's not good writing. I mean, shigarakis father wasn’t being like that for selfish reasons, let’s not forget that nana shimura abandoned him. Sure, she was doing it to protect him, sure she made sure it was a good family who adopted him, but imagine being 5 years old and your own mother hands you off to some strangers. Yeah but I dont know much about Touya's past. What I do know is that Natsuo and Fuyumi were neglected and Todoroki was physically abused. However, Touya did get Endeavours Quirk so I'm pretty sure he was pushed like shoto was aswell.
@Izuku Midoriya I'm not saying Eri's story isnt bad. It was horrible, being killed over and over again is not something I can imagine a young child like Eri going through. However, in my point of view, Eri was still young when she was saved, after a short period of time she was able to show happiness again. Though, with Todoroki, his whole childhood is lost. And although he is showing some character development, he has not shown a sign of happiness like Eri. To be honest, both their childhoods are hell.

In most of these circumstances, the reason it flips is due to the way todoroki is facing, when todoroki is facing towards the screen, his red hair is on our right, and white on our left, but when he's facing away from us (or the same way as us) his white is on our right and red on our left, though the example of 3:37 it is flipped yes

I feel like it’s not Shoto’s mom’s fault. Endeavor abused her, and technically tortured Shoto. It was horrible for them both. I would say it was trauma for her, and couldn’t see his fire side without seeing Endeavor. :(
I think that the “burn” on todorokis face is actually a frost bite from his mother. Since you should never put hot on the cold side and cold on the hot side. The burn was on the hot side so he should have been immune to the boiling water. If you look back to the episode his mother put her hand on that side, and her quirk is ice.

On an emotional level definitely but considering Overhaul repeatedly splattered Eri's body and reassembled it, her physical pain was the worst out of all of them.
I personally think it's sort of equivalent. Mental abuse can be horrid, just as much, if not more. Sure physical Is horrible and painful. But Eri got saved, tenko Reno didn't at least not really. He was getting manipulated to only see the bad. Anyway, I'd say tenko can be worse it is also a sort of equivalent and representation of two sides on the same coin

SPOILER: The parallels between Deku's and Shigaraki's characters are just crazy. Both kids started off wanting to be a hero, despite not having a quirk. One get's bullied at school for wanting to be a hero, the other gets abused at home for wanting the same. Finally, one of them gets help from a hero (the number one hero, on top of the pinnacle of the quirk society nonetheless), and the other one simply sees a dim light of hope given to him by his deceased Grandma who was also a hero. Now, the story starts breaking off into different directions. They both receive quirks - Deku gets his from All Might, all leading towards him fulfilling his dream - but Shigaraki gets his from AFO, All Might and Hero society's enemy, as well as the pinnacle of villainy. Deku's quirk is a blessing that lets him save people - Shigaraki's quirk is a curse that takes away everything and everyone he ever loved. Deku is finally embraced by Hero Society, while Shigarki is abandoned and left to fend for himself - not even the heroes he admired helped him. Even throughout the current story, Deku and Shigaraki grow through their encounters with each other - Shigaraki realizes his conviction to destroy hero society, while Deku realizes that no matter how hard he tries, he can't save everyone. I'm personally not a big fan of Deku - I find his character extremely one dimensional, and sometimes straight-up boring (I mean you really kill off any potential for personal development, when you make a kid a "perfect good guy". Characters like Bakugo, Todoroki, and Iida are much better-written characters), but I am fan of Shigaraki's character development (And all of the League of Villains) for sure.
lwvyjb 1) It’s better to not have a quirk than have a quirk that literally destroys your whole family and leaves you scarred for life...it’s not a “blessing”, its a “curse”. AND, it’s likely that Shiggy was given his quirk by All For One - that man who returned him to his home was likely All For One - similar clothing, and then convenient facial shading to hide who it was...so not only is it likely that Shiggy didn’t have a quirk to begin with, it’s also likely that All For One gave him a quirk that would scar him for life...MHA has a lot of a “tragic” characters, but Deku is certainly the most blessed one in the series lol. That’s why I think their characters juxtapose so well - the heros are blessed with good quirks and by society, the villains are cursed with quirks that have almost no “heroic” use and are rejected by society
lwvyjb yea and twice the recoil too. His Quirk literally burns away his skin because its too hot - he’s much more prone overheating. Not to mention, it’s not just the rejection of certain quirks that makes villains - it’s also the the rejection of certain types of people, not helping mentally unstable people. Twice and Toga are the perfect examples of this. Toga’s quirks has the side effect of leaving her with an insatiable thirst for blood which is rejected by society. Twice’s quirk left him traumatized and mentally unstable but because of his past actions he can’t get help - only ones who would accept him is the league of villains. This is why they hate heroes and hero society...I suppose something similar is the reason for Dabi joining the league. He’s the ultimate follower of Stain, meaning he hates “fake heroes”, but perhaps he has his own reasons for doing so.
That winged kid’s childhood is so sad.His own grandfather betrayed him and turned into a nomu and then he tried to get Deku to help him but was killed. Brutally and he can’t be revived(except overhaul or eri can revive him). To make matters worse, all for one made that guy his doctor and he probably purposely told the doctor to tell deku that he would be quirkless(there could still be a hidden quirk in there we’ll have to wait.).
I hope that half of your theory does not pass, Deku has the strongest power in the series and will have about five variations of that power, one more power would become ridiculous.

@Izuku Midoriya I'm not saying Eri's story isnt bad. It was horrible, being killed over and over again is not something I can imagine a young child like Eri going through. However, in my point of view, Eri was still young when she was saved, after a short period of time she was able to show happiness again. Though, with Todoroki, his whole childhood is lost. And although he is showing some character development, he has not shown a sign of happiness like Eri.
To be honest, both their childhoods are hell.

I think that the “burn” on todorokis face is actually a frost bite from his mother. Since you should never put hot on the cold side and cold on the hot side. The burn was on the hot side so he should have been immune to the boiling water. If you look back to the episode his mother put her hand on that side, and her quirk is ice.

The parallels between Deku's and Shigaraki's characters are just crazy. Both kids started off wanting to be a hero, despite not having a quirk. One get's bullied at school for wanting to be a hero, the other gets abused at home for wanting the same. Finally, one of them gets help from a hero (the number one hero, on top of the pinnacle of the quirk society nonetheless), and the other one simply sees a dim light of hope given to him by his deceased Grandma who was also a hero. Now, the story starts breaking off into different directions. They both receive quirks - Deku gets his from All Might, all leading towards him fulfilling his dream - but Shigaraki gets his from AFO, All Might and Hero society's enemy, as well as the pinnacle of villainy. Deku's quirk is a blessing that lets him save people - Shigaraki's quirk is a curse that takes away everything and everyone he ever loved. Deku is finally embraced by Hero Society, while Shigarki is abandoned and left to fend for himself - not even the heroes he admired helped him. Even throughout the current story, Deku and Shigaraki grow through their encounters with each other - Shigaraki realizes his conviction to destroy hero society, while Deku realizes that no matter how hard he tries, he can't save everyone. I'm personally not a big fan of Deku - I find his character extremely one dimensional, and sometimes straight-up boring (I mean you really kill off any potential for personal development, when you make a kid a "perfect good guy". Characters like Bakugo, Todoroki, and Iida are much better-written characters), but I am fan of Shigaraki's character development (And all of the League of Villains) for sure.
Shiggy did have a quirk it just didn't manifest, you're saying it like he wasn't as fortunate enough to have a quirk
lwvyjb 1) It’s better to not have a quirk than have a quirk that literally destroys your whole family and leaves you scarred for life...it’s not a “blessing”, its a “curse”.
AND, it’s likely that Shiggy was given his quirk by All For One - that man who returned him to his home was likely All For One - similar clothing, and then convenient facial shading to hide who it was...so not only is it likely that Shiggy didn’t have a quirk to begin with, it’s also likely that All For One gave him a quirk that would scar him for life...MHA has a lot of a “tragic” characters, but Deku is certainly the most blessed one in the series lol. That’s why I think their characters juxtapose so well - the heros are blessed with good quirks and by society, the villains are cursed with quirks that have almost no “heroic” use and are rejected by society

lwvyjb yea and twice the recoil too. His Quirk literally burns away his skin because its too hot - he’s much more prone overheating. Not to mention, it’s not just the rejection of certain quirks that makes villains - it’s also the the rejection of certain types of people, not helping mentally unstable people. Twice and Toga are the perfect examples of this. Toga’s quirks has the side effect of leaving her with an insatiable thirst for blood which is rejected by society. Twice’s quirk left him traumatized and mentally unstable but because of his past actions he can’t get help - only ones who would accept him is the league of villains. This is why they hate heroes and hero society...I suppose something similar is the reason for Dabi joining the league. He’s the ultimate follower of Stain, meaning he hates “fake heroes”, but perhaps he has his own reasons for doing so.

I mean, he’s the protagonist. Almost everyone in the show has a connection to Izuku.
That winged kid’s childhood is so sad.His own grandfather betrayed him and turned into a nomu and then he tried to get Deku to help him but was killed. Brutally and he can’t be revived(except overhaul or eri can revive him). To make matters worse, all for one made that guy his doctor and he probably purposely told the doctor to tell deku that he would be quirkless(there could still be a hidden quirk in there we’ll have to wait.).
I honestly think stories like those are messed up

I hope that half of your theory does not pass, Deku has the strongest power in the series and will have about five variations of that power, one more power would become ridiculous.

He also killed his entire family right in front of him causing him to be homeless and had to walk around alone cuz no one wanna help him
Honestly if you look at it shigaraki is like the parrellel of eri but unlike eri was never saved and and treated well and learn healthy ways to get over trauma

Eri's quirk is able to put someone back to their purest state...so what if she can not only turn them back to a young age or past that maybe she can restore Mirio,s quirk and possibly bring Nomu's back to a normal human state of mind or change them back entirely!!! She's here for a reason not just to be another minority that proceeds the story and help give others development she has an arc all her own she could save Nomu's,people who have lost their quirks or even if Horikoshi would allow it save Shigaraki so he and others can get a second better life.
