Lara Fabian performs a wonderful rendition of "Caruso", Masterpiece song by Lucio Dalla.
One of the best for sure!!! She performs with so much passion, soul, and emotions. Her voice is so angelic and beautiful I really enjoyed!

This is was the last song written by Lucio Dalla. He was headed out to sea in his boat aka ship to America, when his vessel broke down in the Gulf Of Sorrento in Italy. Yes, the song can take a personal meaning, because most people are able too put themselves at the bed side of a love one who is slipping into eternity. While we are left to pick up the pieces of our life & move forward. Lara was born in Belgium before moving to Italy; specifically, Sicilia where she grew up living with her Mother & Grandmother. Lara considers Italian as her mother tongue. As a young women she moved to Quebec, Canada. Lara holds multiple Citizenship’s, one is a “Naturalized Citizenship” Canadian. At the time of this concert Lara was fluent in English, French, Italian, and Spanish. Since then Lara now speaks in 7 languages & sings in 12 languages. My question is where was the Music Industry in the United States? Had you ever heard of Lara before TH-cam? I recognized some song’s of Lara, while giving someone else credit for those songs. What about you?

Caruso, is an italian song, written, composed and performed in 1986 by Lucio Dalla as a tribute to Enrico Caruso, the most famous tenor of his time (late 19th / early 20th century). He was the first global singing superstar.
The story is about the last days of Enrico Caruso, he knows he is dying, and he is remembering all his career on stage and telling his much younger wife how much he loves her.
It has very quickly become a classic of italia music and the biggest names have covered it (Julio Iglesias, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, …. and of course Luciano Pavarotti).
But for many, Lara's version from the concert From Lara With Love 2000

I was told that Lucio Dalla himself, after hearing this performance, said that she made it her song and this is the best version he has heard from it.
For Lara, this song is really important as this is a kind of anthem for Italy, and she is so much connected to this country. She spent the first few years of her life there with her sicilian mother and grandma. Her husband is also sicilian. She also as been living there for the past few months since the end of 2022.

At age 54,,,,,,,,Lara is still very active, her voice still grandiose , her look spectacular, She,s got a new world tour starting in april 2024, mostly Europe and mid/Asia after in June its in Canada Ottawa, Montréal. Québec city and Trois-Rivière, I've got my tickets for the 2 shows in Montréal, can't wait.
