This would be so great for dog treats as well too!! I inhale freeze dried strawberries lol. This is so much fun!!!! We have local farmers that we get strawberries from every year and they are so flavorful, I would love to freeze dry them. You can make so many gifts with this as well!

you can also precook the bell Peppers and onions before you freeze dry them that way it makes it easier just to dump into your food like your scrambled eggs and you don't have to wait for them to cook
Ooooh you have to do ice cream! you can buy it as astronaut ice cream. But if you can make it yourself would be better for so many reasons. I want a freeze dryer just for that haha. It's seriously delicious. Also freeze dried apple and pineapple is a legit awesome snack.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned: Set the "extra' drying time to 8-9 hours. Then if the cycle finishes in the middle of the night you don't wake to cold food. Great video!

Pre freezing your food before putting it into the freeze dryer is a waste of time it is a misconception that it saves time once it's in the freezer drawer it does not you still wasting time in the regular freezer as easier just put it in the fridge dryer walk away and be done with it

My kids love eating freeze dried fruits and veggies as a snack! Makes it easy to give them a healthy snack while we are out and about.

if trays are cool need to hit warm trays option and maybe set extra dry time to 12 hrs for flexibility
