It was exactly how I’d want the original to sound with updated instrumentation, and damn if it didn’t give me more respect for the original :) And let me say, this take is just as good. But in a different sense: While your first remix took the original track’s components up a notch, this one elaborates on that remaster. The heavier electronic influences mixed with the grandiose horns lends itself to this being the final battle of our normal journey; a fight against Eggman (Nega)’s mightiest mecha. And it is indeed a full-on _mecha_ this time! And you can feel those overwhelming odds when we segue right into that rockin’ electric guitar. This won’t be an easy opponent to topple alone by any means. But if anyone can, Sonic and Blaze have what it takes. Or, in brief: Your original remix was a great update of the original. This track brings to mind the same battle, but both sides are now unleashing their fullest potential. An excellent remix to close out 2021. Enjoy your time off; you’ve _more_ than earned it ^_^
My ideas for when each segment would play during the actual fight: Final Showdown: Beginning of the fight, first half of the health bar. Touching Ground: During your chance to navigate up the arm and strike. Building speed: Second half of the health bar Epilogue: For Eggman's final rambling before he tries to pincer you with lasers but is ultimately decked in the face as soon as he gets within range of your jump.
Back here after beating the Egg Wizard, and finishing the entirety of the Sonic Rush Series Storyline, and I’ve never been happier hearing this theme, because I know that if this boss wasn’t as difficult as it was, I wouldn’t be standing here today with such triumph and pride that I have beaten both Sonic Rush, and a sonic Rush Adventure, and it’s a triumph that will stand with me forever, and for all time…

This is really sick and it's even cooler that there's such a massive difference between this remix and the one you did at the start of the year in January, think it's also cool how you ended this year on a song you did near the start of this year too. Only thing I think would've made this better was if you lead it into the allegro/part 2 towards the end. Maybe have called that segment something like 'Terminal Velocity'. Either way another banger to end on, hope you're enjoying making these as much as we enjoy listening to them.
Working through your music playlists and I've loved the other versions of this song you've made already, but you REALLY crank it up to 11 when 1:20 hits. It sounds like the grandiose final stand of a hero rather than the frantic sprint away from a mech that the original and other versions were. Really great take on this!
