Hi, Guys. This is one of the videos in which I lost my comments, Hopefully, this doesn't happen this time. Soi 8 was pretty much decimated during Covid. It is good to see it picking up again. I think It will be back to normal when we get to High Season. I spent a lot of time on Soi 8 over the years I used to drink in the Hong Kong bar all of that area was open bars then. There was a road running between the two sets of bars, and at the top of that road there was a toilet, you had to pay to use the toilet, it cost 1 Bhat. to use it."A Scandalous Price" lol. I lived on Soi 8 back then, A friend of mine owned the building I was staying at, Soi 8 was a brilliant place to spend your time, I lived literally 20 yards away from my favourite bar, back then the Soi was always moving with tourists. Another new restaurant, The food looked excellent. Pattaya has to be one of the best places to eat in Thailand. There is a veritable cornucopia of restaurants selling every type of food you could ever want. Another great little video. Neil.
The Bella Vista hotel on the link road between Soi 7&8 is also part of the Eastiny group. It was shut about 2018-19 but open when I stayed in early 2023. Strangely it had not been decorated or upgraded when closed although in need of both. Don't understand what is going on with Eastiny group 3-4 of their 6-7 hotels shut but no sign of work in progress. Soi 7&8 always good fun.
Best Bar was brilliant when I arrived in Pattaya 2011. A great crowd, girls dancing on the raised part, good loud music..I met my tilac there and was with her for about 2 years.
Hi Nick, like the look of that restaurant the lamp skewers look good the walk down Soi 8 has one of my favourite music bars Rolling Live 3 like Martin you find me there a few nights a week dancing the night away. That’s if the Hip allows me this time 😂counting down the weeks, days, hours 😂 Keep up that good work Cheers Irish Paul

Nick You walked past the entrance of the Sunshine hotel, it is and has been open for many months. Soi 8, i've always thought it to be the best soi in that area of Pattaya, but sadly no longer soi 7 and 8 are nothing like Tree Town or Baukhao, myself and friends no longer frequently come down 7 or 8, on the odd occasion we do its just to watch the bands in rolling kive 3 and the sky bar. but great show today and so good to see the GB exchange rate at 44.90.

Good Vid. David Strachans vids are quite good for seeing how busy the town is. Although 8 is definately better than I'd expected, it's still pretty quiet away apart from Sailor Bar. Such a shame that Bier Stuble bar (on Soi 7) always gets overlooked. It's a long-standing German bar and restaurant with traditional fixtures and fittings and a wide range of German beers.
