Beautiful footage. Reminds me of the first time I went to the "24" back in 1990. Good fun, unfortunately I was shooting in VHS. Something magical about Daytona at 1am watching the race and the parties. Again, very nice footage.
Thanks, I couldn't stay for the night session yesterday but this has me excited for the Rolex now. To me your videos best show what it is like to be there in person.
I’m guessing since it’s twin turbo charged it’s probably due to their waste gate setup, it’s probably an external waste gate which bypasses the turbo and rejoins the exhaust near the exit, think of it as a straight pipe coming from the exhaust, McLaren’s make a lot flames as well. If you search the term “external wastegate flame” you can see some other examples of it.
Oh thx so much for the unic footage before i hate so much the new corvette but the look is insane !!! Go corvette please win the 24 h daytona !!! Greeting from france !!!!
Ok but like doesn’t it sound like the C8.r engine is having an identity crisis when offloading during braking? It sorta sounds like the old V8 but still has the buzzing of let’s say a 458 GTLM engine

Does anyone else find glowing brake rotors mesmerizing
It always is ;)
How about the glowing pipes of the Corvette?
Oh yes
I love this kind of automotive racing footage. Raw, untouched, and simple. None of that lousy and drawn out intros, editing, or music.
Love the glow that comes out the back of the exhaust. Absolutely beautiful at night
HNT funny thing is they’d actually sound better if they were allowed to run without cats (and no internal glow).

The new Corvette looks beautiful. Can‘t wait to see it at LeMans
Can’t wait for it to dominate Ferrari, Ford, Aston, Porsche and all the rest yet again just like the C6
Is it just me or does anyone else already miss the Ford GTs
Their sound was something special
I miss them, the more in GTLM the better. I'm hoping some privateer teams run the GT this season.
Aaron Canese that’s the first thing that I thought after I heard the Corvette...
They sounded terrible but they were nice lookin cars
And the movie just came out and everything.
Night time racing is just the absolute best ❤️
Oh yeah
Love the lights just like the UFO 🛸 from Close Encounters !
Hell yeah. The lights look cool af. I imagine it's to help identify each car easily at night (notice, no two car's lights are the same).
Sooo Freakin cool, Spittin flames, glowing rotors, and screaming exhaust notes. I love racing. Can't wait to watch Daytona, go Corvettes.

I'VE STARTED TO WATCH IMSA ONLY DUE TO ALOSO IN 2019 DAYTONA &I'M LOVING IT. DEFINETELY MORE FUN THAN F1
THE DPIs NEED HP UPGRADE TO ATLEAST 800HP
Really hope Mazda can put it all together this year and win Daytona and/or Sebring.
Anyone noticed the C8R’s exhausts was shooting flames constantly? Is that normal?
Makes you wonder if they aren't using it as an assist to the aero at the back of the car...
