- In this video I hit TJ Maxx in search of great fragrances for a discounted price.
I was able to grab two summer fragrances. One is a rare find in the rack stores and the other is super hyped in fragcomm. Which one is worth your money? I tell you at the end of the video.

I absolutely love Missoni Wave, I would pay twice the price for it. An absolutely outstanding scent for a beach day.

Do you think it’s a redundant pick up if someone owns both Chanel allure homme sport and Versace pour homme?
@@deathtoallbuttmetal8148 I personally don’t think it’s redundant. They are similiar but VPH is more airy bright floral, almost a bit metallic where CAHS has a smoothness/creaminess too it from the tonka. Not nearly as floral.
@@deathtoallbuttmetal8148 absolutely agreed, it's not a clone, it's its own thing. You'll recognize it as familiar, but that's it.
Thought I’d have to wait till I go back to New England to pick up gray flannel by Geoffrey Bean. Lucky me they had it at Ross when I walked in earlier today so I decided to pick it up. I normally don’t expect much from a $12 fragrance but after watching your reviews I’m excited to give it a try.
Great video, neither one appeals to me at the moment but I was entertained. I think I'm heading out to Marshall's and Burlington tomorrow morning to see if I can find a gem.

missoni wave for me is now a summer staple!! i owned VPH and it just outperforms it and gets some chanel sport mixed in… it’s like taking the best from both worlds
I definitely get a mix of the 2 for sure. May just be my skin that as it sets down in get less of either VPH or AHS and it just goes soapy.
I hesitated picking Pure Accord up for the same reason you did, the less than stellar reviews on the main sites. But there was one reviewer in particular who swayed me into picking it up and I'm glad I did. Yes, the best part is the opening, which fades way too fast. But unlike you, I don't mind the dry down. I don't have anything in my summer rotation that smells like this, not even Blue Jeans. It's quite the change of pace from my usual aquatic, aromatic citrus, or freshie summer scents.
As far as Missoni goes, I passed on it the one and only time I saw it at Marshall's. That won't happen again.

Hi Gerard. Own Wave for a while and Love it. Bought another backup this week at Marshalls. Own Chanel Allure Homme Sport and Versace Pour Homme as well and I think you should have all 3.
Haven't smelled Pure Accord but do own The Scent Private Accord and The Scent Absolute and those 2 are the ones to have.

I'm not a fan of blue fragrances and I've tried and had many only to give them away (Bleu De Chanel, Dior Sauvage, Y Live, etc.) I was at local rack store and right before I was about to walk out, there was that bright blue Missoni Wave box staring at me. Because of the hype and all the rave reviews, I took a chance grabbed it at $30 for 100ml. Let's just say I was pleasantly surprised how good it was and it'll be in my summer rotation.

I used to swear by the Versace. However 21, 22 reformulations removed the florals, and that juicy, elegant feeling it used to have. Now performnce too weak, isnt even worth 40 dollars. So, i got the Missoni for an alternative.
Oh that sucks to hear! I haven't tried a newer formulation.

Found Acqua essenziale blu Salvatore Ferragamo at my TJ Maxx just yesterday for $24.99! 1.7 oz! I love it! Fresh blue powdery and sophisticated!

Got Missoni wave. its a versace pour home like scent at half the price , can't go wrong really
Absolutely can’t go wrong for the price.
I'm more into niche fragrances. Missoni Wave is one of my two go-to gym scents. And it's very easy to wear on a summer day.

I am pretty difficult with summer scents. I don't have many that i really love.
I went to the store to probably buy dior homme or dior homme sport, thinking the quality would sway me over but i Just found them to boring.
I completely understand. Fall and winter scents are just able to come across more interesting and complex.
Man Gerard..I can't understand the hype behind Missoni Wave. Opening is nice for 20 seconds. After that its a confusing herbal mess in my opinion. I bought it based purely on the hype train and i must say to me its not worth the hype at all.
I lean that way as well. Big hype machine.
Passed on Missoni Wave last night. It was $59.99 at my local Marshall’s, I rather put that money towards Versace or Chanel.
I agree not worth it at that price. I was lucky to grab it for $20 on red sticker recently another bottle.
Own both. Perfect description of the boss fragrance. Turned out to be pure trash. Wave is a nice scent but performance is sub par very disappointingly weak
Yea surprisingly I get the best performance from the Chanel, then VPH, then wave.
I got Missoni Wave due to all the great reviews, but had to return it... WAY too synthetic and loud. Gave me an instant headache. Azzaro Chrome Extreme is MUCH better, smoother, and better in every way.

Hey Gerard, greetings from Santander, Cebu, Philippines, where I'm currently vacationing. It's super hot and beachy here and Missoni Wave would be perfect, but fragrance options in the dept stores here are extremely limited so buying Missoni is not an option. I ended up bringing with me D&G Light Blue Intense and Mont Blanc Explorer Ultra Blue. How do those blue fragrances compare to Missoni Wave?
I would say it’s probably closer to light blue than explorer ultra blue. Not particularly shower gel clean smelling like the explorer. More citrusy fresh than the light blue as opposed to aquatic fresh.
i have a mission wave and when i put it on it doesn't last much at all, maybe about half an hour and that's it and i put it on both skin and clothes i even tried using vaseline but it doesn't help. can you help me and tell me why
Roni typically there is only 3 reasons a fragrance doesn’t perform;
1. The fragrance itself is a poor performer
2. The fragrance is brand new and just needs time to macerate.
3. Your skin chemistry or reaction to a particular fragrance.
Sometimes you can have a combination of all 3, sometimes just one. I’ve had fragrances that are supposed to last all day that last me a few hours. I know the feeling my friend.
Well you said you have mission wave ... go buy Missoni Wave, it's really good.

Hi Eric. I don’t personally get a powder accord from either. I will say wave has a lot of lavender so I definitely get a soapy vibe from it.
Missoni Wave is likable but nothing special.
Exactly. Really safe and likable I’d just rather VPH or the Chanel. The Chanel has the best performance of the 3 on my skin.

Solid summer scent.
For 30$ not as aquatic and blue as the bottle makes it look ...It should be a clear bottle with a touch of blue tint. The color scheme on the bottle should be inverted. It's less blue and less aquatic than it is floral. The mandarine is almost non-existent... it's a sea salt citrus flower bomb ... No where near Versace pour homme ... Hollister X wave impressed me more than this at 19.99. way too much hype....Wave 2 Hollister is way better than this....now that's a solid cheapie
