Bennington is one battle in which the American Militia triumphed and a battle in which American Riflemen also were decisive. Unfortunately our schools no longer teach American History in the way it was taught in bygone eras.... One of my ancestors was a rifleman with Daniel Morgan at the Saratoga series of battles. He was a Virginian!

Another ancestor LtCol James Steen of the North Carolina Militia fought in virtually every battle in the Southern Sector including King's Mountain and Cowpens.@@wmpetroff2307

Thank you for creating & showing this video of American history. We do not hear much about The Honorable HESSIANS who shed blood, sweat and tears with the Colonists in our battle for Independance. The Native Indians and French as well, absolutely. On my paternal side is the family name Bennington. I found this video to play for my 94 year young Dad. It brought a tear to his eyes.
