There are a lot of younger people that love the 80s and 90s music, and I keep telling them you have no idea of how that time was and you had good music and good TV programs, to watch on TV it was a great time to be alive I tell the younger people, and you know what they tell me, that we were lucky.

Her Cousin is Miguel Brown who had the Hit So Many Men, So Little Time and her Daughter is Sinitta who had the Hit Toy Boy in the 1980's. It was produced by Pete Waterman, Matthew Stock & Scott Aitken aka SAW Productions and in the early days of his Career Simon Cowell used to follow Pete around like a Pest wanting Sinitta get a Recording Contract. This song was written by a Jewish man in St. Paul, MN after listening to Prince Rogers Nelson's band in Minneapolis. He took Prince's tight groove to the next level and wrote his one and only hit song, FUNKY TOWN. One of his band members made a comment to Prince that a white dude just made a hit single off his sound while he was still a relative unknown. After that Prince Rogers Nelson, with a vengeance, turned out a series of #1s up until 'Purple Rain'. The original gal singing FUNKY TOWN was a radio despatcher who went right back to her day job after it was recorded. But this was the tune that drove a very young Prince to breakout into mainstream music.

Lipps Inc is a multi-racial group Written by musician, composer, and record producer Steven Greenberg and sung by Cynthia Johnson,a black woman, the song expresses the singer's pining for a metaphorical place that will "keep me movin', keep me groovin' with some energy". Steven wrote the song while the band was living in Minneapolis with dreams of moving to New York. At least two music videos exist for "Funkytown". In one, a black singer miming Johnson's vocals and some women dance in a pub. In another, Debbie Jenner, who served as the face of Lipps Inc. in the Netherlands and West Germany, dances while miming Johnson's vocals.[9] Johnson says on her website she "was never asked to perform a video of 'Funkytown.'"[10]

FUNKYTOWN was a song by a band of session musicians called "Lipps Inc".
But that song so famous in 1980 had no video, so a video made by performers of the German TV show called "Musik Laden" went viral.
The ladies in the video have nothing to do with Lipps Inc. The singer for Lipps Inc. was a black talented singer named Cynthia Johnson.
It's not the first time the music industry has made weird stuff: it happened with Milli Vanilli (the guys there didn't even sing or play anything), Technotronic (who debuted with a video of a lip-syncing model named Felly, who crowded for the video to the original singer Ya-Kid-K and so on, with so many monstrosities of the music industry.
