Really nicely done video. Venezia put of NYC is my favorite Carnival Ship, but I can see the Firenze is awesome as well.

We decided to also go back in December also 😊 never been on a cruise ship in the month of December & I’ve heard that it’s decorated so nice for Christmas so wanna check it out. And yes you are right about the elevators, but a lot of people don’t understand them & so they get frustrated with it but when they are operated properly they work like magic. I made a short video just explaining the elevators. So thank you cuz yes others need to be schooled on how they work so they don’t get frustrated. Hope you have an amazing cruise. Don’t miss the captains toast, it’s a nice thing to see & experience. But I will say that if you plan on going to the main dinning room for dinner afterwards to make sure you check in for dinner ahead of time. We procrastinated & went to check in after the toast & it was a 90min wait so we decided to just eat somewhere else. Hope this helps & have a blast on your cruise. One thing I feel like is different is that one of the dinning rooms on the Venezia has a gondola which I had hoped Firenze also had. How did you like the Venezia style in comparison to the standard Carnival cruise ship?

Get you some of the battery candles & fake rose petals like in one of my videos & deck out your cabin, trust me it’s a vibe hehe. To answer your question as soon as you get introduced to your cabin steward tell them then. They will usually come around & ask you the first day what times you want them to clean for you & that’s when you let them know you would like a mattress topper. Trust me if you’ve been on a cruise you know that little crease can be annoying & that topper will make a world of difference. Hope this helps! Stay tuned for new videos coming & happy sailing! Once you get to your cabin & your cabin steward greets you & ask about the times you would like them to clean your cabin, or if you meet them in the hallway near your cabin, just let them know you would like to request a mattress pad topper for your bed. How do you request the mattress pad? Can you do it before?
@@MariaDiaz-cl4kt Thank You for watching my videos & commenting. You can’t request the mattress pad ahead of time, you have to request it once you are on the ship. Usually the first day your steward will be in/near the hallways to your cabin & will come to ask you when you want your cabin cleaned for the duration of your cruise & that’s when you let them know that you would like a mattress pad for your bed. the last time we were here, the parking was free. i heard its now $23/day. as if they're not making enough money off the cruise.
@@adamnugent2137 Thank You for watching my videos & commenting. Yes you are correct as of right now unless they’ve gone up from our last trip it is $23 per day to park. I agree that the cruise is making a lot of money, but I from my understanding the cruise doesn’t own the parking & it’s another company that charges. I do feel like there should be some type of compromise & that the cruise companies somehow include our parking in our cruise fair fees, that would be nice. Exactly. It costs and arm and a leg just to park. Lucky for us we are dividing the weekly cost by 4 people
They don’t make as much as you think - you should have to pay for parking- if you have a problem uber in - easy fix

Love & marriage & quest adult scavenger hunt is hilarious trust me! & color my world is a good show. I took too much lol. I always overpack but I’m trying to get better about that. I took the largest luggage size there is & a backpack. I know they recommend 50lbs like the airlines, but they don’t weigh & there’s plenty of oversized bags brought on so you will be fine with whatever you bring. Check it into the porters so that you don’t have to lug your bag & can get on the ship & start enjoying it. Your luggage will be delivered to your cabin for you. I was trying to show how it’s worth it because of the prices of all the drinks & even us not maxing the package out is still worth it to us. Also welcome to cruising, that is so exciting to be going on your first cruise. I love meeting first time cruisers. I truly hope you enjoy your first cruise. Go see the shows they are cool, our very favorite one is love & marriage show. It’s hilarious to watch. It’s for everyone not just married ppl. As far as the tender, I’m not gonna sugar coat it. For Cabo it can be a little hectic. If you don’t have an excursion through carnival, faster to the fun, a suite or platinum/diamond status you have to get in line very early to get a decent zone ticket number. The lines start forming very early. They will then call your ticket number over the intercoms & that’s when you go down to the gangway to then line up to get off the ship onto the tender. If you’re not prepared for all that it can definitely be overwhelming & hectic esp for a new cruiser. The tender then takes about 15ish minutes to get across onto land. If you have an excursion planned outside of carnivals this can be detrimental if you don’t get an early ticket to get off the ship to get to your destination. If you have an excursion with carnival you are considered priority so then it’s not necessary because they will escort you off to the front of the line. On our cruise we just did I got up early, went & got tickets for us & then when to eat so we had an early ticket. The wait can be hours before larger #’s are called & there’s already a short amount of time in Cabo. It’s funny you asked this because I was working on my next video to put up from our trip which was Cabo & I’m putting all of that info in there so ppl are aware so stay tuned for that video going up very soon. So far I have 3 of the days up on my TH-cam from our cruise on Firenze if you’re interested in checking them out. Hope this helps with your planning & have an amazing time on your first cruise. What’s a muster drill??
@@jakezilla9373 Thanks for watching my videos & commenting. Muster Drill is the safety briefing that every passenger sailing has to attend in order for the cruise ship to sail away from port. They go over safety protocols in the event of an emergency, kinda like how the airplane goes over safety in the event of emergency. It’s the same thing just for the cruise ship. They tell you how to put on your life vest, where you meet to get on an evacuation boat if need be. It’s to be prepared & know what to do in the unlikely situation. It used to be super long & dreadful but now it’s super quick & easy. I highly recommend getting on the ship & just going & getting it over with. That way you can just start your vacation & not worry about it any more. It’s a pain to go eat & drink & start enjoying yourself & to have to stop what you’re doing to go attend it. They also will announce you over the intercom that you are holding up the ship. Hope this helps! Happy Sailing

Question for you, our trip on the Firenze leaves next week, but we have no idea about the Interary such as 80's night white night etc. Does carnival provide those details prior to embarkation?
@@stephengilson6558 Thank You for commenting on my video, really appreciate it. Carnival just list the themed nights ahead of time but unfortunately they don’t tell you what days each one is. Once you are on the cruise ship you can look at each day on the app to see what is happening each day of your cruise & heart it so it will remind you. Just keep the app open in the background otherwise you will miss the reminders & any messages you get. I can say that we did a 5 day & on the first sea day (2nd day on ship) was elegant night & they had the masquerade captains toast that evening in the atrium. I highly recommend going to that. It was pretty neat to watch. If you get there early enough you can actually get in line to take pics with the captain if you like. They also do a craft class that’s free to make your own mask but it fills up quick & I heard they ran out of supplies. We actually didn’t know they had that available & had just purchased mask to bring with us on the cruise. The 3rd day on the cruise was white night/silent disco combined & that was a lot of fun. It’s hilarious & fun to see everyone with the headphones one listening to different music (3 buffet live Dj’s playing) & dancing to it. Definitely get in line ahead of time, they ran out of headphones because it’s a limited number they have & that line got large pretty quickly. The 4th day was 80’s glow party. The last night was love & marriage (highly recommended whether you’re married or single it’s hilarious to watch)

Interested in your take on the deck 9 cabin and balcony. Any noise from the aft pool on Lido Deck above you, either in cabin or out on the balcony. We have Terrazza Aft 6512 in August on the 6 day. On the Sea Day after Cabo (heading north) was the aft balcony and Terrazza area still usable or too windy and cold? Did they serve the breakfast inside Moda in the morning or could you dine outside on the Terrazza Deck?
@@DLThomas-c9s Thank You for commenting on my video. We really liked the aft balcony on deck 9 for several reasons. Aft balcony in itself is an entire experience of its own & one that we really loved. The 9th floor aft also had a covering which not only kept us out of direct sunlight but also gave more privacy because no one could look down into our balcony at all. I think the covering also shielded the wind because we’ve been on other balconies & the wind was so bad that we couldn’t enjoy it the same. I’m not gonna lie, we were also worried about th aft pool & hearing noise from the lido, but honestly we never heard anything down below on the 9th floor. Not sure if you would hear more from the aft pool on deck 6 since it’s one floor away from the pool area or not. It seemed that everyone was very considerate & respectful on that floor because they possibly wanted the same relaxing experience as well. Now I will say it wasn’t much but a few times we did hear some chairs being moved around above us but it wasn’t bad. It wasn’t for long & seemed that they were just being adjusted by the staff. It wasn’t to any degree that we were annoyed by it. As far as Cabo, on the way back from Cabo does tend to be chillier but it wasn’t uncomfortable for us at all & I am very cold natured. July & August are some of the hottest times for Cabo & I think given that & the fact that we were comfortable coming back you will enjoy it. I think you will still be able to use & take advantage of your balcony for sure. As far as the breakfast for the Terrazza in the mornings, we didn’t actually take advantage of that. It was more like a continental breakfast vs breakfast but either way you can eat out in the Terrazza area if you like. We had food there & saw others bringing food to enjoy on the private floor. On a port day where you may not want to eat much or maybe running low on time, the private area having the grab & go type of food items definitely would come in handy. One of the things we did was go grab food from buffet & bring it to our cabin to enjoy breakfast on our balcony & that was a nice change of pace & having a quiet breakfast on our private balcony. A little tip is to take your little table by the couch outside onto the balcony & it works perfect to eat on. Did you purchase all the drinks seperatly? If so why not get the drink package you showed 12 plus drinks at prob 12 dollars average thats 144 when the drink package is 82 and change for 15 alcohol drinks and unlimited specialty coffees and waters and non alcohol drinks all included!!, SECRET everytime you pass by a bar or the java blue coffee bar grab non alcohol drinks for your fridge doesnt count against your Alcohol drink number even if you have at least 6 alcohol drinks a day you break even and you get the specialty coffees and the other non alcohol drinks all day, Note I am not affiliated with CARNIVAL at all just love the drink package !!!!! Even when we don’t drink a lot we still see the value in it because of all the unlimited non alcohol drinks along with the alcohol drinks we get. Whether we drink heavier on a cruise or not, 5 ish drinks in whether it’s alcohol or non & we’ve broke even. My intentions of the video were to show what the prices would have been had we not got the package & were buying individually. Thank you so much for giving even more validation to why the drink package is totally worth it. You really don’t realize how quickly it adds up. We’ve cruised a few times counting our drinks & purchasing very minimal to stay in a budget & when we go back & recalculate we realized that we could have spent either the same amount or just a little bit over & had unlimited & not been counting things.
