I understand your points, but i would like to add something. When compared to other TCGs like Magic and Yugioh, Pokemon TCG Pocket is in a very healthy state. There is deck variety, luck is limited and card aquisition (free to play) is very reasonable. My biggest concern is power creeping in future, but we saw none power creeps in this expansion.
I’ll keep it a buck. I don’t think they will address any problems until they see a significant player drop. I only think this because, correct me if I’m wrong but, they said it’s more of an art collecting game w/ a toned-down battle sim of the TCG. So I took this as a “give us money, and we won’t budge unless” the players leave cause this is a “secondary” property for us”.
A lot of this is fair. Though I feel that it’s a little eh. The entire point and reason people watch and play competitive pokemon is the luck factor. If there was no luck then no one would watch because it would be the same meta stuff over and over. But I do feel that luck takes TOO MANY factors in this game. Like bro. Some games are just none games because of bad coin flips or terrible starting hands. What does the game want me to do when my opponent gets 3 Misty heads on articuno ex on turn 1?

The game needed smoothing and cards that raise skill ceiling.
Instead they added more coinflips and ways to cheat mana.

You lose so much timing going first. And im ok with coins, i personally love the risk factor
There is a lot luck to the game. That being said I generally shred mewtwo decks by rocking a poison deck and I do alright against other decks
I think the app is made for the mewtwo collectors. I stopped wasting my time.
