Beautiful hunt, & I hope grandpa watched it from the ski above! Very glad you spoke of him during your harvest of a very nice bull! Thank you for sharing the video.
thank you for thinking about your grampa, I'm a grandfather of 10 grandchildren, you dont how much i love them i'm sure your gramps loved you with all his heart, I appreciate your kind thoughts and your successful hunt
it's alarming how many people on here don't understand that all meat was harvested. We as a hunting community should work on how we present ourselves. That messaging is not all our fault, but it's important to remember.
Well people are overreacting, it is the internet. I've never had a problem with animals getting shot with a gun and killed humanely. The only thing i find a bit more taboo is bow or spear hunting. Which feels a bit brutal, but that is just what i think. Either way a lot of hunters still has a lot of respect for the animals.
@@XDXD-tt1bd agree. bow, spear, blowgun hunting all kind of piss me off. all for this though! quick, relatively painless or totally with the right shot. people who are anti-hunting often don't understand that the meat is being harvested MUCH more ethically than what they may or may not buy from their local grocery store, lol.
@@lylevaltz9307 animals that are hit with arrows and spears have a much higher chance of dying… as for blowguns… animals most of the time can’t feel that they got hit, which is why many run a second or two after getting hit and then coming to a stop because they didn’t realise that they got hit
What an awesome hunt, guys. Really enjoyed the stalks. The outcome was highly successful with two great bulls. That first bull is an absolute beast. Congrats gentlemen.
I was particularly moved by that testimony about the lads Grand Paw. We hunt for several reasons, but to have given credit to Grand Paw was especially nice.
Thanks for taking us along on such an awesome hunt! Would love to know what pack you had and recommend, and if your KUIU gear is really worth the cost! Thanks!
We've found a lot of success with the exo mountain gear packs. Most of us have ran the pack for awhile starting with the K2 frame and then upgraded to the K3 shortly after it came out. We were running the exo mountain gear k3 4800 on this trip. Simple, durable, and allow us to carry loads over 100lbs comfortably (if thats even a thing 😜). On the Kuiu gear - Yes, if you are going to be in remote areas for long periods of time or even just simply backpack hunting. If you're just taking day trips and coming back to a truck every day maybe not so much.
So I have a question, when you kill the animal what do you exactly do? Cut it into the parts that you will take home and then move it to another place so animals don't hopefully it and the rest of the body stays for other animals to eat or you do something else? I'm not a hunter and where I'm from for all ik it gets taken away whole with a car/tractor or whatever else

If you get the meat nice and cool (let it sit overnight) first or pack it out quickly, then it’s not affected at all. Game meat is much more resilient them most ppl think at this meat has been amazing!!
