Hey are you guys sending out messages with a number to text? I received a reply from Go Hunt from my TH-cam comment telling me to text a 845 number because I won a prize. Seems weird, I worry there is a scam going on.
A new goHUNT video gives me the same feeling I had when I was young and my favorite skateboard company would release a new video. Fully stoked and the opening credits are still rolling.
Good stuff guys. People hear '4.2 miles' and think that's nothing, but those that have packed across tundra know better. Thanks for letting us see your adventure.
One day I wish to do this hunt. I would love the opportunity to hunt Caribou. Hunting to me is so much more than just about the hunt. It has literally helped me with my depression and gave me a reason. Especially, after I got out of the military it help a lot with my PTSD, depression, anxiety, etc. Videos like this inspire me to get out. It is definitely on the buck list. Good video guys, keep up the good work.
You can hunt the haul road for next to no money. A flight costs around $700 round trip. Maybe a little more now. U could do a diy version of this hunt for under $2k. Just fyi. Make that shit come true. Make it happen
@@danielellisporter Yes sir. That is what I figured. We only have so much time left. We must treasure the time gifted to us. This year Nevada and Colorado. Next year Alaska. Thanks for the comment man.
Maybe my fav large ungulate hunt I've ever watched. Loved the "be there" honesty on the weather, the pain and the boredom waiting on weather. Thank you for making this film!
Very well done! Good job on some fine caribou, 4 for 4. Impressive. Brought back memories of one of my personal favorite hunts. Alaska is such a beautiful and spectacular place.
Such an Amazing Hunt you guys are hardcore Hunters so proud of you guys the support you guys gave each other great memories Men you guys will share forever
Definitely a hunt that’s on my bucket list. Hopefully one of these days I get blessed with an opportunity to hunt these beautiful animals. I think it would be awesome if you guys can put together a detailed video on how to hunt Alaska.
Wow. I finally took the time to watch this video in full and GOHUNT did not disappoint. Yalls hunt blew me away, Chris' stalk/run and gun, Trail getting left behind. Memories of a lifetime.
Great video Chris and Trail How did your brother like his tent? It's always great to watch you all on hunts. The mood of the camp was great and it felt like you guy enjoyed the hunt. God's Blessings to you all
I’ve been looking into doing this same hunt with a couple of buddies. I’m glad to see it is doable, and thankful of the reality of how far the pack outs will likely be. Good job guys
Man..took me right back to my trips. Neverending laying in bags in a tent waiting for weather and planes. Blueberry pancakes and mini Twix for days. O ya..and a few caribou. Great job guys
Man what a video! That was awesome! Literally had fun watching it, glad all of y’all got your tags filled and props to trail for staying 3 MORE days! Looks like a peaceful location. 👍🏼😁
On a few things I'm like, wow, you guys need to get Alaska, but on the other hand this video has a little bit of an epic quality. Seeing the single frame hunter-prey shots are super cool, and you get some great landscape and sense of place shots too. Hunting movies need to take it to the next level - skiing and snowboarding movies are the best comparison. Hunting movies are still pre-Warren Miller right now. They need to get to "Art of Flight" levels.
This is the best hunting video I’ve seen in a while! It made me want to call my brother and a couple of buddies to see when we were going to hunt caribou.
Awesome video! are you guys going to do gear list videos for this hunt? I got stuck out in alaska for 5 extra days on a DIY hunt and man I did not do well with it! ha I'd be cool to hear how trail handled the solitude on a video!
Very special video for me as I lived vicariously through you in the video. Why? Because I always hunted the places that no one else would, because of the difficulty in getting to them. I don't remember any time that I got skunked by hunting this way and some of the animals I saw along the way were remarkable. Now, at 77, my legs are gone, in fact I just got home after being either hospitalized or in a skilled care center for the past 93 days. My advice is to enjoy as much of the outdoors as you possibly can, while you are young because, your body won't carry you when you get old.
Has the podcast discussing this hunt been published? I just want to make sure that I didn't miss it, as a DIY caribou hunt in 2023 is the plans. It looked like a great adventure.
Yes! Here's a link to the episode "Alaska Caribou Hunt" : th-cam.com/video/NtiJWxQA9QI/w-d-xo.html Good luck with your hunt and reach out with any questions! Thanks for watching,
Awesome film, great job everybody! Can someone comment on which Kuiu Tent you guys all were in?? Guessing its maybe a prototype since it isn't on their website.
So rad! I listened to the hunt on the Backcountry Rookies podcast, but the video was so much better. Do you guys think trekking poles would have made it easy easier on the pack outs? Or is the tundra just to dang unpredictable?
What an amazing Hunt, Video and group of guys. You guys asked for feedback from the podcast i do agree get rid of Neville! Haha jk, i would love to see more of these videos and podcasts of who went on the hunts.
I am doing that hunt in august out of Kotze, it will be interesting where they just closed unit 23 and 26a. What area were you guys in? I hope we are half as lucky as you all. Great hunt!
Any way yall can recall who flew you in/ out? I’m trying to plan a caribou hunt and all I seem to find is fully guided services instead of just a drop off and pick up
Sitka timberline pant. They don't make them in the green colorway any more..they do make them in grey and their camo patterns. The pant design hasn't changed..same timberline pant just a discontinued color

Trail is a beast. Staying there that long and being the last guy out. 💪🏼
A new goHUNT video gives me the same feeling I had when I was young and my favorite skateboard company would release a new video. Fully stoked and the opening credits are still rolling.
Relatable.
Agreed. Haven’t felt those kind of feelings over a hunt film in a minute. Gold standard
Braille ?
Good stuff guys. People hear '4.2 miles' and think that's nothing, but those that have packed across tundra know better. Thanks for letting us see your adventure.
