- August in Alaska means a couple of things, long hours of daylight and the start of hunting season. With caribou tags in their pocket, Trail Kreitzer, Chris Neville, and his brother Josh Neville board a bush plane heading to northern Alaska for a hunt in the remote tundra. Faced with all that Alaska has to offer, watch as the three try to prevail with nothing but daylight.

One day I wish to do this hunt. I would love the opportunity to hunt Caribou. Hunting to me is so much more than just about the hunt. It has literally helped me with my depression and gave me a reason. Especially, after I got out of the military it help a lot with my PTSD, depression, anxiety, etc. Videos like this inspire me to get out. It is definitely on the buck list. Good video guys, keep up the good work.
You can hunt the haul road for next to no money. A flight costs around $700 round trip. Maybe a little more now. U could do a diy version of this hunt for under $2k. Just fyi. Make that shit come true. Make it happen

Very well done! Good job on some fine caribou, 4 for 4. Impressive. Brought back memories of one of my personal favorite hunts. Alaska is such a beautiful and spectacular place.
Definitely a hunt that’s on my bucket list. Hopefully one of these days I get blessed with an opportunity to hunt these beautiful animals. I think it would be awesome if you guys can put together a detailed video on how to hunt Alaska.

On a few things I'm like, wow, you guys need to get Alaska, but on the other hand this video has a little bit of an epic quality. Seeing the single frame hunter-prey shots are super cool, and you get some great landscape and sense of place shots too. Hunting movies need to take it to the next level - skiing and snowboarding movies are the best comparison. Hunting movies are still pre-Warren Miller right now. They need to get to "Art of Flight" levels.

Very special video for me as I lived vicariously through you in the video. Why? Because I always hunted the places that no one else would, because of the difficulty in getting to them. I don't remember any time that I got skunked by hunting this way and some of the animals I saw along the way were remarkable. Now, at 77, my legs are gone, in fact I just got home after being either hospitalized or in a skilled care center for the past 93 days. My advice is to enjoy as much of the outdoors as you possibly can, while you are young because, your body won't carry you when you get old.
Awesome video! are you guys going to do gear list videos for this hunt? I got stuck out in alaska for 5 extra days on a DIY hunt and man I did not do well with it! ha I'd be cool to hear how trail handled the solitude on a video!
Man..took me right back to my trips. Neverending laying in bags in a tent waiting for weather and planes. Blueberry pancakes and mini Twix for days. O ya..and a few caribou. Great job guys

Guy's great hunt but ibuprofen makes you retain water and its terrible for you guts Joe Rogan had doctor Dr Rounda Patrick talks about it i would really suggest watching it i stopped taking them and reluzed i felt better while hunting Camron Hanes used to eat them to and he stopped after watching it Im saying this out of respect and care for you guy's

you yeahoos may want to spend more time at the archery range, or switch to rifle hunting in order to make clean kills. Poor example of ethical hunting.

Pretty sure Josh was using a kuiu mountain star 2 person and the rest of us stayed in a stone glacier SkyDome.

What sitka pants was Trail wearing?
Sitka timberline pant. They don't make them in the green colorway any more..they do make them in grey and their camo patterns. The pant design hasn't changed..same timberline pant just a discontinued color

I had mixed emotions on this hunt. I did a diy caribou hunt in 2011 that was a total fucking(sorry for profanity)disaster. I haven't watched a caribou hunt since.

What happened?
Didn't even see caribou and the outiffer ended knowing ahead of time that we probably wouldn't. It was the collapse of herds in Quebec
